Long story short, I just wonder if Jake did have friends, if his classmates were nice to him.
I hope so too. Because if Liz and Lyric taught me anything, it is that abduction should be the first assumption. Search the water, yes. But also let the public know that Jake could be not in the water and that everyone needs to keep an eye out.I just hope they didn’t lose time and that the stream search was possibly to see if did fall in, but also to keep the community from jumping ahead of themselves and becoming convinced some killer was on the loose. Hopefully, while the stream search was going on, police have also been collecting and looking into all other leads.
I had this special needs boy in my class from first grade up until I graduated High School. I don't recall people being mean to him. I still remember not thinking he was any different from the other kids until very late in elementary school. I don't know if I just didn't notice because I played more with other kids or if it was truly unnoticeable. As we grew up it started to be obvious, I think, because of speech issues. I think kids weren't mean to him because we knew him since first grade, he was one of us, he was in almost all of the same classes, he went to sleep away field trips. But I also understand that more often than not, kids in the US just keep changing classmates and these special needs kids are horribly bullied. Don't get me wrong, I was mean to other kids and other kids were mean to me, I just remember that the boy that had special needs was off limits. It saddens me that this is not the case for every especially vulnerable kid.
Long story short, I just wonder if Jake did have friends, if his classmates were nice to him.
Black Hawk County Sheriff Tony Thompson posted to Facebook a few days ago, saying, "This morning I am frustrated... Not because we are suspending the creek search, because we have fully exhausted every resource there... But I am frustrated because by all accounts, we've managed this case nearly perfect. Even when you do everything right, you're not always guaranteed a victory. I've been at this point before and I simply do not like being here. We owe this family, this community, and this county answers... But, we've tracked every lead and pushed every resource with no more answers. I'm not sure what more to do, though I know more needs to be done..."
It’s been too long since Jake was mentioned on the news. Based on this comment from the Blackhawk County Sheriff, I’m worried about where his case goes from
TODAY: It's been exactly two months since Jake Wilson went missing
