The man who lives by the pig farm and has 2 priors for stalking. I'm not pointing fingers at him because those were a long time ago and we don't know the circumstances. It could have been someone that he thought was cheating on him....who knows.
My question is, do people usually know when they are going to be interviewed by a reporter and on TV? This looked like an impromptu interview to me. He was nervous and unkempt. Personally, I wouldn't allow myself to be interviewed in a big case like this, unless it was my loved one at stake. Plus couldn't he or anyone refuse the reporter? He might not have known that though.
My gosh what a terrible position to be put in, innocent or guilty!

I am also surprised about the interview with the guy who lives near the pig farm. Although, if reporters already dig up dirt on his past (ie, his stalking arrests), maybe he felt that speaking for himself was the best way to proclaim his innocence in this case. In my opinion, when people hide from the press or give “no comment”, they are often viewed in a worse light by the public.

Does not explain why the dogs were in the basement.

It's been difficult for me to follow every post. Is it a fact the dogs were in the basement?
LE has offered very few facts.
The female cousin said Mollie was at the bf's home doing schoolwork on the computer; "the computer" because we don't even know if it was hers.

Now, father is so proud of Mollie - she won the State Speech Contest multiple times.
He thinks she's being held and wants the perp to let her go.

My father is a retired police officer, so I’ve heard warnings my whole life and I’ve always been aware of my surroundings, however in the town where I grew up, everyone knew everyone and most were related to one-another. I would have been extremely comfortable accepting a ride from a nice man that was a friend of the family.

I’d be looking at someone in late forties to early fifties. The reason is because I think for a young girl, a father-figure is much less threatening than a younger man when it comes to accepting a ride. Someone could appear so kind and have obsessive uncontrollable feelings that an unsuspecting girl wouldn’t even notice. JMO

Great insight, Blissful12 ! Thank you for your post.

A non-warrant search does not require LE to provide specific details on a court document of what/where they want to search and what they suspect they might discover. If a property owner consents to a search without warrant LE may freely search (within whatever limits may apply to the agreement between the property owner and LE). The downside is such a search may be challenged in court without there being the legal protection of a warrant, which could jeopardize a case.

I watched the presser and updated all my peeps about the reward.
My personal thought on the matter is that answer is probably close to home in this case. I would love to think she is being held alive somewhere....but even that is terrifying to think of. Just horrendous.
This is a direct plea to anyone who is reading and probably not registered here on WS.
If you know something, do the right thing. Just do.
Phone it in anonymously. Do it for her family.
[we know already how many times the person/s involved are almost driven to find great places like WS to follow the case....if you are here, then you already have learned as much as anyone besides you and LE/FBI do. Lucky before or just lucky this time so far? It will be solved.]
Man/woman up. I don't hate anyone, but many do.
That is not a threat of any kind. Please do the right thing now. Right now. Things can continue to worsen...
Chi

Agreed. If anyone is keeping a secret or holding in a suspicion right now, it will only get worse the longer you keep quiet.

And if Mollie were walking towards her Mom's in the morning to get the car - and if it was raining. And if she was running a bit late. This is a good possibility, for sure.

HLN reported spoke with husband and wife neighbors of Mollie. I'll paraphrase until we get a video.

250-300 folks showed up to search. They were divided into groups of 40 with a leader. Searched railroad tracks, farm buildings, sloughs, ditches. Then that afternoon they were directed by LE to corn fields walking arm distance apart all the way across the fields. Wife said it was so very creepy, afraid of what they might find and how they all emerged at the same time like Children of the Corn. They both feel, and most towns folks feel, that Mollie is alive and being held nearby. She implied cautiously it was a sex crime. Wife said the dogs were well fed and watered.

First timer but have been following this great posting for awhile. Great work folks. I still believe it turns out to be someone close to Mollie. Perhaps an accident thats been covered up. I hope I'm wrong and continue to pray for her safe return.....

I think what LE clearly doesn't know is where Mollie is..and the may be hoping POI will lead them to her.

I don't believe there is a specific POI under surveillance, although LE may be observing demeanor and activity of more than one individual.

During a recent FOX News video report, the reporter said, "[Dalton] has returned to his home but has not entered the bedroom where [MT] would sleep. When asked if there were signs of a struggle the reporter said DJ stated he could not comment because of the investigation. I'm wondering if LE has sealed the bedroom.

I'm also wondering if MT left behind a clue(s) in that bedroom as to what happened that evening.

I had been typing up a response on the other thread when it closed, so re: the dogs, unfortunately I don't think they are a solid clue. Even if they were usually not in the basement when someone was home I don't think that necessarily indicates that Mollie put them there as she was getting ready to leave or had already left. Not too long ago there was a string of home robberies in my neighborhood and the perps would lock dogs in basements and other rooms while they went through the rest of the house. Even such dogs as pitbulls which you wouldn't think would be compliant with an intruder. And labs are generally very friendly and outgoing so I could see them happily being told to go to the basement by someone they aren't familiar with. I don't think we can assume it was Mollie who put them there.

I don't completely agree with that....

jmo

I agree with not agreeing with that. I still think they have a POI based on the LE PC, they clearly just don't have a clue where she is being held. However at this point, its hard to imagine they are not trailing the POI so its concerning that the POI has not led them there. It would make me wonder how she is being fed, she can't go much longer without food and water if she is still alive.

I doubt they just close off one room! If they thought something happened in that Home the whole place would be in lockdown.

We who were involved in the Holly Bobo case never gave up hope that she was alive somewhere and of course that she was safe and maybe even had a form of Stockholm's syndrome or had the wiles of Emily Smart. (ETA Holly WAS smart but she never had a chance...what all really happened to her will probably go unknown but it was unhuman and if it were my daughter or anyone at all, I would've rather been insured the death was very fast.) :(
We know how families hold on forever until they get an answer, and I join them in their hopes and prayers.
On another thought before I hit the actual road again, with the fair opening and the plans Molly had to accompany kids there, it does get me to thinking once again about all the vehicles that come with a fair.
There are all kinds of animal carrying trucks, maybe cattle-haulers, pig haulers, horse haulers, not to mention those that set up the rides and everything else. The food vendors with permits. Especially the local ones.
They were either already setting up at this point, finished doing so, or parked at a rest area or truck stop.
These bigrigs that are involved often have "escort" vehicles and many have friends or family following them. They don't want to be stuck at the fair 24-7 anymore than most of us would.
Just saying once again...

Absolutely. I'm dumbfounded that, at least for sure in the Missy Bevers and Delphi, IN cases, there is photo, video (likely for both cases), and audio (at least for the Delphi case) evidence of the perp(s), and the investigations are - seemingly - stalled. That is truly chilling and disturbing.

I think about Abby and Libby every day and am stunned they don't have an arrest. LE knows so much ( cause of death etc.) Yet here we are almost 18 months later, even with audio and a pic. That man is staying very well hidden and was probably wearing a disguise. Let's pray they find Mollie soon.
