Yes, there was, the pic the boy friend opened around 10 PM. Maybe I'm getting this wrong 'cause we don't know when the pic was taken. My point is, the BF saw the pic, taken when?, who knows. Later is my GUESS. Guesses ain't always good.

He opened the SnapChat at 10PM, didn't pay much attention to it. He doesn't know when it was sent. Police may have discovered the time when it was sent, and, if they did, it was sent prior to 7:30 when she went jogging.

What don't we know because of a SnapChat?

From police, we know that Mollie Tibbetts was last seen jogging in Brooklyn, Iowa in the evening hours of July 18. There have been no credible sightings of, or communications with, Mollie since that time.
By last SEEN, which witness or witnesses do they take into account I wonder. Has to refer to someone with eyes on. Unless... camera.

And you know this HOW?

I tend to believe the last known verifiable physical contact was when her brother dropped her off, witnesses who claim to see her running can get days confused especially since it was days after LE took over, iirc

The last know communication was with their mother when she answered “ok” to dinner which was around 7:30.

The SC she sent her boyfriend is still in question to us since a send time has not been established only an open time has.

LE has used carefully thought, specific wording in that description. They would not include the witness observation or the phrase "last credible...communication" if they were not 100% convinced of their accuracy

According to police, the last known sightings of, or communications with, Mollie was when she was jogging. This was after her brother dropped her off at 5:30, and after she left the house to go jogging at 7:30.

There is no reason to discount this police statement.

Twitter is very straightforward. Pinned tweets are not re-posted, they are just bumped up in the order of tweets, so the time stamp on a pinned tweet is the time the tweet was actually made. She tweeted and pinned the content in question on Tuesday, 11/14/17 at 8:13 p.m. She also referenced "Tuesday night" in her tweet, offering even more evidence that this was that same day.
Is it possible that her perp. got an idea from her tweet, since anyone can read her tweets....That life imitating tweet is too strange.

I don't think there's any reason to suspect someone simply because police are interested in five locations associated with her disappearance.

Apparently someone did prowl around Brooklyn without anyone realizing that they were seeing a prowler.

Respectfully, we don’t know that though. Lots of tips have come in that we don’t have access to. People may have very well noticed a prowler.

People in my country neighborhood, especially retirees who are around all day long, watch incoming people and cars (especially unfamiliar ones) like a hawk.

It doesn't matter who saw her last, what matters is that the last sighting and communication was when she was jogging. That means that she disappeared on her jogging route.
Yes I agree. But it would narrow the time of the disappearance down. Or eliminate earlier times at least.

I sure hope so! Police want to hear from everyone who was in any of those five locations at the specified time and day. Hopefully everyone was paying attention and can describe what they saw.

Someone impersonating a police officer walking into a public library? It would be incredibly difficult to impersonate a modern police officer. They are adorned in ten pounds of specific gear.

And the risk...This impersonator would be seen by a host of people in the library, including the possibility of an off duty cop, or family members of a cop who would instantly see that he wasn't really a police officer. And this impersonator would accept this extreme risk in order to ask Mollie about a pink sweater?

Please put this theory to rest.

I didn"t wake up the theory, simply responded to a post about it..it has happened before, What if it was a plainclothes officer? we don"t have the details or do we? Also what is known about this officer?

also please do not ask me to put a theory to rest as it , one..is not my theory, two it is snarky and I don't want this thread shut down.

Ok I am done with the Twitter! I did read a couple of posts yesterday but didn't realize the extent....this forum covers a lot really fast!
Don't feel bad, if truth be told you could say we are all beating a dead horse by going over the same ideas/topics. Sometimes things get missed and with no more evidence than what we were given, we are drawing conclusions and discussing. Posters really should not be criticizing other posters discussions or ideas. No one knows what really happened and why.

Or a vehicle in question was captured on car wash's video camera.

I cant get it all together in my head about what is where in relation to something else. I do strongly think there is likely lots of cctv data. there is more than one truck stop, there is casey's, there is a drugstore, a napa, a bank, a funeral home. all likely to have cctv. being able to follow a person around on cctv though or eliminate them from other places doesn't equal knowing enough to charge or arrest someone. LE may know who but they cant touch them because they don't have enough yet.

Car wash as a Point of Interest: notice that a straight line drawn from the Carwash to Casey’s covers both the Clay St and Jackson St intersections. Almost any vehicle entering Brooklyn from the South is going to pass through the Clay St intersection by the Car Wash. But from Casey’s at the far side of the Jackson intersection I doubt vehicles at the Clay St intersection could be indentified. I’m wondering if perhaps LE noticed a vehicle or two that passed through that intersection but did not turn towards Jackson St / Casey’s. A person near the carwash would have been in position to see what the Casey’s cameras can’t quite see.

Mitch Mortvedt, assistant director of field operations for the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, said investigators started receiving data Wednesday in response to several search warrants that were filed earlier in the investigation.

“It’s been described to me as a massive amount of data that’s coming in from our search warrants,” he said. “And we have no real time frame as to how long it will take to sort through all of it, but it is going to take some time.”

Meanwhile, Mortvedt said dozens of investigators continue to run down leads and search areas of possible interest.

A potential lead that developed Wednesday night led investigators to a rural property in area of Guernsey and north Deep River that housed a hog containment.

Mortvedt said a number of officers and FBI agents responded to the property and thoroughly searched the area using manpower and dogs, “but the search was fruitless.”

Mortvedt declined to say whether the lead was developed from the obtained data, but emphasized “We’re following up on everything. We’re sending people all over the place as tips come in and leads are developed.”

Investigators hopeful data will lead to answers in disappearance of Mollie Tibbetts

I posted this yesterday, but would like some more feedback. Do we know where the camera(s) is on the car wash? It would be important to know which way it faces. Is this one? It faces W 2nd St. And if so, would it likely capture the intersection or south on Clay St.?
Edit: Ignore. My questions been answered. Thanks!
