Thank you, I am thinking the Watts debacle in Colorado, I have been jumping between the two.
For those unable to focus in on the 'damage' that appears on CR's towed vehicle:
Mountains in Iowa?
That appears to be a Minnesota license plate.
I’m very impressed with the time of the investigator from the state police. He was committed to keeping details secret and was successful. He didn’t mince any words at last Tuesday’s PC by starting with “A first degree murder...........”. It had an impact and after the initial shock wire off the public saw the very human side of the man.
One if the most important aspects of an investigation is to never forget the incident from a victims point of view. And he didn’t. After informing the family of the arrest, he told them they had raised a PHENOMENAL daughter. His statement was genuine and it came across that way.
When you say you tink it happened in the car, do you mean that when she was snatched off the street she was put into the back seat? What do you mean: and then he
All I was trying to say is I don't believe he blacked out at all, but is simply taking the memory of seeing an earbud*( doesn't matter where or when it occured!)and using that to convince investigators that HE DOESN'T REMEMBER anything that occurred before he woke up ( came to). I do not think "nothing that happened between the the threat and the earbud on his lap,", CAN BE REMEMBERED as you stated, is correct, That is just his story. He wants them believe he doesn't remember the most evil part of the deed that was done. I don't know how else to explain it. That being said, it doesn't mean there could not have been an ear bud on his lap or nearby that occurred after the assault. It does not have to be in the timeframe in his story and he is just USING it because it is convenient to his story. I did have a (loose) theory about how the earbud came to be off Mollie in the first place, because Ithink it really did. Obviously it was significant in his mind because he recalled it and used it to put it in his "story." Using that fact alone, I was simply trying to come up with a scenario that would have explained a loose earbud anywhere near Mollies body. Thats all. NOT SAYING WHEN IT HAPPENED, just that it had to have been when he finished assaulting her at one point. He only "says" he woke up in a car, in a cornfield, because it suits his story. What he is probably REALLY referring to is the moment he either started the assault or right after. He is just recalling that location because that was the place he left her body. My opinion only and I hope that's more clear! Last night, or early this morning, I was exhausted from trying to explain it so many times so I gave up.Apparently that part of his memory is "blocked out", nothing between Mollie's threat and the earbud on the lap can be remembered.

Especially after the way people described him in all the interviews. They all said the same thing, for the most part, about him being quiet. His " "not following the custom" of greeting people ( NY Times) really struck me.I was thinking Aspergers too, very detached...
My thoughts are with Mollie's parents, brothers, boyfriend, family and friends, and all who loved her. Prayers for peace, comfort and strength on this very sad day. Rest in peace, sweet Mollie.
Yes please!! I've seen it doneCan anyone tell me if there's a way I can pull my posts about the car from a previous thread? Thanks!
That is the Impala - not the same car as seen being towed along with the Nissan.
This is the car in the driveway but I can not really make out the plate.

Whoever took that photo of the house with the Impala had no idea the confusion they were setting off. The cars are both Chevy's, dark in color, and look very similar!
Exactly, I think he is just USING the memory of the earbud, regardless of when it occurred in the order of events, to justify his " story" of blacking out.I'm not sure why he's focused on the ear piece. By the time he got her in the trunk and got himself back in the car, how would anything from the abduction/trunk event land in his lap in the driver's seat?
I wonder if the earbuds have been located.Exactly, I think he is just USING the memory of the earbud, regardless of when it occurred in the order of events, to justify his " story" of blacking out.
