Rather then CR's education records; his medical records if they exist would be far more telling; has he been diagnosed with any mental conditions that could have contributed to his heinous actions on that evening / night?

I don’t think so, another poster knows the city, hopefully he will chime in later!

It’s also been reported that IM helped him to get the job at the farm, maybe when she got pregnant and they needed to earn a stable living?
I've seen Marshalltown listed as facebook contact, too.

That’s the one I’m thinking is the other city but I’m not sure so I didn’t want to say

ETA. That’s the one that was listed, I just went back to check

IMO, I would be highly surprised to find a medical record on him other than possible ER visits or urgent care.

Does anyone know if farm workers get health care?

Probably of no relation to this case, but just out of my own curious fancy, I looked up missing persons in Iowa. From late 2016 to early 2018, three girls went missing in the stretch between Black Hawk County (near Waterloo) and Cedar Rapids. All three were listed as white with brown hair and eyes, 16 years old, 5'1", and between 130-140lbs.

There was another one last August from Marshalltown, white with brown hair and eyes, was 19, 5'4", and 170lbs.

I can't find any more specific information about them, but at least the first three are unnerving in their similarities to each other.

Also these are the same areas of the summer of 2017's rural road sexual assaults.

Media interviewed an Uncle that reportedly works/worked at dairy farm, and logical that he would assist his nephew CR in gaining employment there. Don't know what report you're referencing but It's highly unlikely that exGF at age 16-17 found CR a job at farm. I also think it's about time to stop interjecting exGF victim into this story. MOO

Not usually but it would also depend on the size of the operation on whether the farm could afford it. I think it was stated that Yarrabee had 600 cows and they most likely grew a lot of what they are fed (except the grain) but it is expensive when it comes to vet bills etc. I also thought I read that they were breeders which brings in money too.
Again it would depend on what kind, how big of an operation it is on if they pay health benefits. Farm workers are really a revolving door and move around for the most part depending on location, amount of work etc.

And how is it that you know IM is a victim?

Thank you

I'm not quite sure which post you are referring to when you describe it as "ridiculous ", but I'm assuming it was mine since I'm the only one who mentioned the length of his relationship. I would like to clarify. I never said this meant he must have poor " life skills", but since you brought it up, I actually think his life skills are quite impressive. He moved here as a teenager, found a job and successfully obtained the necessary paperwork to fool people and get away for years under this cover as a citizen. I'm sure he picked up plenty of skills along the way. What I did say was that he may have a problem forming and holding a relationship. As I mentioned in the post, he was described as staring at and saying nothing to a girl who said he later messaged her on Facebook in order to speak to her. I'm not sure that just staring and saying nothing is an effective way to get a date. You mentioned high school dating, which I did not but I think it is perfectly normal not to date at all in high school. And yes, many people do not have a serious relationship until they are in their twenties, that is true. I simply said he MAY have trouble connecting to people. So please don't misinterpret and incorrectly change someone's post to have a different meaning, then call it ridiculous and laugh at what you think it suggests! If what you said in your post was true it would appear the poster is pretty narrow minded. Jmo
Since I have no idea what goes on in his head, I'm not saying that this is his problem, but I wanted to give a comparison to someone I knew years ago. I met him through one of his relatives who was dating a friend of mine, and she had told me that he was a really nice guy. The 4 of us went to a movie and dinner one night, and 3 of us had a good conversation, while he sat there and never said a word. I assumed he just didn't like me, and I was fine with that, but 2 days later I got a letter from him (no email/FaceBook, etc. back then). It was several pages long, and he had put down word for word what he would have said during the night if he hadn't been so anxious. He asked me for another chance, and I agreed.

The second "date" was just like the first, except that there was nobody else there to fill in the silence, and once again he sent a play by play of what he had wanted to say in reply to my comments & questions, and things happening around us. His letters actually sounded like he'd be an interesting person if he ever opened up, so I was dumb enough to accept a third time. That night (my birthday) we met up with several of my friends and relatives and went dancing. He did say a few words to a couple people, but never said a word to me. If I left the table to dance, he'd stand next to the dance floor and stare; I finally had enough when I went into the restroom with a couple relatives to figure out how to get rid of him, and came out to find him standing there staring at the door.

As far as I know, this guy never raped or murdered anyone, but he definitely lacked social skills. Because of that, I don't assume that CR's "creepy staring" was a lot more than wishful thinking; perhaps he thought that those girls looked down on him because he was just a farm hand, or because of his language skills. It doesn't make what he did any more acceptable than it was, but it may be part of the reason for his odd behavior. If I had found out that the guy I knew had murdered someone, it wouldn't really have surprised me much even though I never "heard" a bad word from him, never knew him to threaten anyone and never saw him lose his temper.

A few close to him have said he didn’t drink or do drugs, but his behavior seems as though he does

Looking at the garbage and empty beer cans around the housing the workers lived in, there was a lot of it going on around him.

I also posted yesterday a link to him coming on to IM’s cousin and her relatives taking him outside to have a little talk with him, that type of behavior can happen when booze or drugs is involved.

Who comes on to the relative of his child’s mother out in the open at a party?

Does he just totally lack any social graces, he went to school and the people who know him claims he was a nice jokester?

Did booze and drugs make him a different person, not making it an excuse for him, just speculating because this is a person who appears to have snapped, though I believe he’s been building up to this point.

Hard to judge much by the pile of beer cans around the house, as CR lived in the trailer and all those cans are worth nickle each if bought in Iowa. And there are other people living there. No telling how long they have been saving cans before making a run to the store. You just bag them up every once in a while when the pile gets high, or you have a bag. I have a guy who comes by every Sunday morning to pick up my empties for scrap aluminum. I could give them a run for the money.

I certainly will not argue that he could be using drugs. Crystal meth might help him get through the day at work, and explain his violent behavior, especially if not previously noticed in his home country or by family in Iowa.

I think that his hitting on IM's relative says volumes about him. The two relatives having a talk with CR says a lot about why he might not prey in his own small Latino community., and why MT looked like a safer option.

A lot of good points made in your post! Thanks, and good afternoon.

Because neither she nor the uncle nor any other relative of CRs have been accused of any illegal involvement. There’s already been warnings here about sleuthing or making accusations against IM.

I understand about sleuthing anyone that is not a POI but my question is how does that make them victims?

Lol. I don’t think they even get health care from being sprayed with pesticides. If you google, the health effects are shown including on the children.

Some people just look older than others. He may very well be 24 or 25. Working long hours in the sun will age some people too, I suppose.

Elvish? Maybe Samwise is also working at the Dairy. Another non-resident alien, this time from the Shire. Now we know where everyone went when they eventually got off the boat at the end of The Return of The King.

I am NOT suggesting CR is a serial killer. I don't feel I have the background to make that call, nor the information about this case to decide. But I did find an interesting article, although I'm not sure if this is a reliable online source.

Serial Killers | Encyclopedia.com

This paragraph stood out:

"Norris notes that there is an absence of the killer's sense of self and, during this phase, the killer may confess to the police before the fantasies start once more. However, because victims are not seen as people, recollections of murders may be vague or viewed as the killer having watched someone else. They may have a memory for tiny details about the murder, which is dissociated from the event as a whole."

So he was taken into custody in Tama County. Interested in hearing the story around that.
That is interesting, I assumed they encountered him at the trailer or farm.

From your link.....

Enter Richards. He told The Chronicle he was sought by family members and friends of Rivera to locate him after he was taken into custody.

Richards said he successfully found Rivera was being held Tuesday night in the Tama County Jail in Toledo.

He said he had previously represented some of Rivera's acquaintances.
