It really is sad because it sounds like this town was a mix of various backgrounds and it doesn't seem he would be targeted at all if his car wasn't circling the area she was seen running. It wouldn't have taken 4 weeks to go to the farms to start talking to people if they were looking to pin it on an undocumented worker. Quiet the opposite it seems with this one and they had many people they ruled out before this and none of them were undocumented workers. The pig farmer comes to mind. That man was convicted in the media many times over. If his car wasn't seen on video 6 times, he likely wouldn't have been on any radar. They even did question the owners of the other vehicles in the area also. I know there are cases where racism is a driving force, but this one I don't see it.

This is the most stressful part of the trial, waiting for a verdict!
They may come to a tentative decision, and then plan to go home and sleep on it. I’ve seen other juries that. (Can’t remember which.)

In my mind if they don't come back today then they are giving pause to his fabricated story and I guess I don't want that to even enter his mind. A quick verdict would mean they didn't even entertain his claims because my him even saying all that they are taking them for fools (my opinion)
