From MSM reports, we know that arguments in the household were frequent and that XH often took refuge with neighbors where he would spend the night.

We also know that JL was in custody the night following XH's disappearance -- arrested on an unrelated warrant, and previously questioned about XH disappearance. By all accounts, both SH and XH were fond of JL and why SH sent neighbor SR to JL's trailer to inquire if he'd seen/heard from XH on the day he disappeared. Whether or not recovering XH's body will change anything related to JL remains to be seen.

In court filings, the Freses noted that the 50-year-old man had come under scrutiny in the investigation into the disappearance of an 11-year-old boy, Xavior Harrelson.

Xavior vanished from his trailer park in Montezuma on May 28, during closing arguments of the Bahena Rivera trial.

The defense noted the 50-year-old man is the former live-in boyfriend of Xavior's mother and that the two maintained a friendly relationship. Investigators searching for Xavior began looking for the man almost immediately and arrested him on an unrelated outstanding warrant in another county the day after the boy was reported missing. He has not been charged with any crimes related to the disappearance.

SH vehicle was not working on May 27 -- trailer was far enough that she couldn't get there without transportation but not far per SR testimony at CR hearing. JL was also not answering his phone so SR stated she left a not on his door. MOO

It would be fairly uncommon for an 11 year old boy not to have some level of dental records and X-rays, even if only for cleanings.

Right. Especially when he was in state custody for a couple of years. The state had oversight of the community homes I used to run and we were required to have a whole slew of doctor appointments annually. Dental had to be done every 3 or 6 months (as recommended by the dentist). I would be very surprised if he has never been to a dentist.

I believe it's more likely that XH left the property via a vehicle sometime late 5/26 after the argument or early 5/27.

I don't believe that XH walked 4 miles due to a physical condition which SH stated was heredity.

Relative to mom's former boyfriend JL, he's never been named a POI -- even after he was in custody. I believe JL is still in custody and really don't know if he could have harmed XH.

I don't believe 10-11 yr old boys living in Montezuma or Poweshiek County are unsafe and should be in fear.

I'm more apt to believe somebody harmed XH to hurt his mother or to send a message.

I agree with most of what @Seattle1 said. Xavior would definitely have not walked far because of his physical condition; if he planned to go anywhere at a distance on his own he would have taken one of his bikes. IMO he wasn't grabbed off of the street by a stranger, and probably left in a car with someone he knew. Even though the neighbors heard a heated argument the night of 5/26 between X and his mother, I don't believe that she had anything directly to do with his disappearance. I believe that it is much more likely that someone wanted to hurt his mother. I don't know if JL is involved, but in my opinion, it is not a coincidence that he was arrested on an unrelated charge the day after X went missing, and I feel that LE is definitely taking a close look at him. The last the neighbors saw / heard X was 5/26, but in a YouTube interview on 07/12, his mother said that she saw him on the morning of 5/27. In SR's testimony she said that JL's camper was at the "old Fun Valley Ski Resort just southwest of town." I found that the Fun Valley Ski Resort closed years ago, but was located at 1066 - 500th in Montezuma, and that is about 5 miles from the trailer park where X lived.

Just noticed something in the transcript I just posted of a portion of SH's interview about the day XH went missing. She told about how she had asked SR to check locations for X, including parks, and then asked SR to check the last trailer in the park and if X wasn't there she would call the police. In SR's testimony she said that SH asked her to check the parks and trailers and then to check one last place -- to drive out to JL's camper to see if X was there, before she called the police. SH neglected to mention that in her interview Of course she wasn't obligated to tell a YT interviewer as long as she told LE, but I still found it interesting.

To my knowledge, SR is the only party that has spoken about this case and/or her actions under oath. I also think it's fair to note that when one delays speaking publicly for 6-8 weeks and then only talks to an unknown YT host, there's always the risk of credibility in one's statements. I trust more will be revealed in time.

SH mentions that XH was asking for her phone and she says no...plug it in to charge. Shortly after SH indicates XH began playing on his switch. Could XH have been wanting to call someone to pick him up? When he couldn't use the phone, could he have contacted the same person through switch...not sure if it has a chat function?

The first charge on 6/1 was when they caught him but let him go. The second one was opened on 8/14 but stemmed from the first charge. His cases are a bit of a mess; the last time I looked, he had at least two old ones that had pending court dates.

I went back to Mollie's thread and now recall that CR's defense alleged on 7/15/21 that JL was in federal custody on a gun charge.

When JL was first approached by LE on 5/29, JL fled on foot and it was his GF (passenger in the vehicle) that told arresting officers that they had a gun in the vehicle. JL was apprehended later on 5/29 and booked in Iowa County Jail. He was later transferred to Poweshiek Jail on 5/30 where he was also interviewed by the ATF on the weapons charge. As this would be a federal charge -- it explains why JL fell off the Iowa State Court & Custody roster.

7/14/21 - JL was ordered detained by the feds until trial.
8/4/21- JL was indicted by a federal grand jury on a single count of Possession of Unregistered Firearm ( modified or short 12 gauge shotgun).
8/6/21 - Jury Trial set for Oct 4, 2021 - Cedar Rapids.
8/25/21 - Change of Plea Hearing -- 10/4 trial date canceled.
8/25/21 - Report & Recommendation by Magistrate Roberts to accept a guilty plea to Count-1 of Indictment.
9/9/21 - Order accepting R&R signed by Judge Williams.

JL's federal sentencing hearing pursuant to the guilty plea is pending.

Per Vine -- it appears JL is being held in Jefferson County Jail (Fairfield, IA).
