IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT CHRIS MCDONOUGH AND THE INTERVIEW ROOM

Nothing that Chris M says is allowed on this forum unless it is backed up by law enforcement.

Chris has personally lied to me. He accused an innocent man of being Brian Laundry. He lied about being removed from the Crow lawsuit. He was removed but then put back in the lawsuit and lost. Chris told me he was removed from the lawsuit and was not sued. He never told me he was added back into the lawsuit and lost. Chris was sued for getting a false confession in the murder of Stephanie Crow.
I could go on but suffice it to say anything he says is not allowed. Even if it is in mainstream media.

Again only if what he said is backed up by an actual law enforcement source.

Here is the documentation on the Crow lawsuit
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Ruling from 2010 which overrules Dougie's decision from 2004.

Retired judge slams Crowe case

"A federal trial judge in San Diego dismissed the bulk of the civil rights suit in 2004. But six years later, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals revived the lawsuit, finding that Escondido police violated the civil rights of Crowe and his friends during “hours of grueling, psychologically abusive interrogations.”

The above links come from a great YouTube creator called Scientific Skeptic. If you go to this video there are more links describing the interrogation tools used by Chris and others in the Crow case,

Because Chris mistakenly named the wrong man on my YouTube channel and never told me to take down the false information I made this apology video when I discovered what happened,
Here is the apology video I had to make because of what Chris said on my Livestream.

The glove that Chris found was not there on the day of the Moscow Idaho murders

The MOB Crew has a great video showing the ground the day of the killing where the glove was found later in the month. On that day the glove was not there. Go to @2:35 of this video

I am not suggesting Chris did not legitimately find the glove. Just showing you it has nothing to do with the case. I will be shocked if Chris updates the story about the glove.

For those of you who know me this is an extremely unusual step for me to take. This is how strongly I feel. I was lied to but more importantly, because of Chris' actions, people's lives were threatened in the Summer Wells case.

ADMIN NOTE:

This post lands at random.

The Report feature is for members to alert us to violations of Websleuths Terms of Service, not to have us fact-checking all the minute details of every single case. WS has hundreds of alerts that our very few volunteer staff have to stick-handle every single day. We can not possibly know all the minute details of every case, and we do not have time to correct misinformation that may crop up in the various threads.

While rumors are a violation of TOS, simple misinformation or a misstatement of fact is not. If misinformation creeps into the thread, please just correct it on the thread through respectful discussion, supported by links to the correct details.

Also a reminder that, as part of victimology, discussion of KNOWN victim behavior as fact is fine as long as it isn’t accompanied with judgmental commentary or negative connotation or negative speculation that constitutes victim shaming or blaming (i.e. drugs or other illegal activity is not a KNOWN and is not allowed).

And please forego the virtual signalling. The discussion isn’t about us or our own perfect values.

Thanks !!

ADMIN NOTE:

Folks, it is only member speculation that these killings could be the work of a serial killer.

Please leave Bundy and the rest of that mottley crew out of this discussion until/unless LE indicates there could be a SK at work here.

Thank you.

The murder/suicide theory was discredited by LE in one of their first announcements, so it is something that can be definitely excluded.

It can’t be true anyway since police said that haven’t found the murder weapon.

If someone killed three of their friends and then committed suicide, logistically the knife would have to be within reach or in the nearby area as the suicide. Either the knife is in the body, fell to the bed or floor, or was somehow thrown across the room in a last act.

No knife found= no suicide.

JMO and also LE stated as fact.

In the last thread someone pointed out that the football game on the night of the murders was against UC Davis, so maybe someone from CA was there from out of town. It's against all odds, but for what it's worth a quick search of the UC Davis Marine Science Diving Safety class itemizes the required equipment with things like:

Booties
Gloves
Wet suit
Hood or hooded vest
Dive knife

I've seen more than a few speculate here on WS that the perp may have been wearing something akin to a wet suit, and I know I saw at least one comment that scuba divers use knives related to the knife profile we've read about associated with this crime. Here's what a dive knife looks like:
And here's the link to the UC Davis list of required items for the scuba class:
Highly doubt any of this is relevant info, but what is relevant can only be determined by first considering it.

Amazing angle. I took a long look at the diving knives via the link you provided (thanks!). They most Definitely could be in line with the type of weaponry which LE has stated was used to commit the crimes. I’ve never thought about a wetsuit, but as we all recognize and know - anything’s possible when it comes to murder(s). JMOO

I recall that too, what crossed my mind is where I live alumni from here drive/fly in from all over for games. Lodging packed, no vacancy anywhere for certain games. A previous student could have known the girls, even if not the girls, but known the neighborhood and about that house.

Edited for commas

That was me but this college is located in the middle of the state very small campus and near the eastern most boarder so more mountains.

FBI adds several more FBI agents to case. So very concerning!

MOSCOW, Idaho - The FBI has assigned additional agents to investigate the unsolved, Nov. 13 murders of four University of Idaho students, according to local police.

The Moscow Police Department (MPD), which is leading the investigation into the stabbing deaths of students Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen, said in a Monday press release that 60 FBI agents and two members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) have been assigned to the case.

On Dec. 15, the last time police issued a press release, there were 46 FBI agents and two BAU analysts assigned to the case.

Agree 100% it's unlikely perp(s) would drive that distance for the football game. But it's possible an alumni of UC Davis now lives within a more drivable distance of Moscow, ID. Or a current student who's home visiting parents for Thanksgiving.

Really we're just talking about the possibility that someone non-local might have been drawn into town for the football game and later committed this crime.

I'm a cold-water swimmer/surfer, and I'd be surprised if it were a wet suit. They are designed to be porous enough to let a thin layer of water in, which your body then warms and uses as an additional layer of insulation. And they are meant to fit super tight to avoid drag in the water (which means they take a few minutes to remove). I could see the use of a dry suit, which can be used to keep water completely out and are not formfitting, but they are pricey ($1,000 and up).

I was thinking. Do you think K and M called J all those times because they could see his home/bedroom light was on from their house?
Seems like those three kept very close tabs on one another.

Kaylee was breaking away, and probably anticipating a new life in Texas, without the smothering attention of old connections.

I actually think that’s promising. FBI is there to help sift through info AND also to work through the digital evidence since most state level LE are not equipped or trained to do that type of forensics. I believe that the digital evidence will point them to the killer and then DNA will put that individual at the scene.

As a diver, I'd advise against committing a brutal crime wearing a wetsuit.

Great for cold water; less great in terms of ever getting anything absorbed out of it, however many cleanings. I had to "retire" an old suit after our Siberian cat left a fishy gift on it. Could not get it clean. Ever. And I loved that suit.

I think that a few oft-mentioned theories are likely to play out here.

1) Someone who knew the house and someone in it, and attacked

2) Someone who knew the house but not its occupants, and was there for the thrill kill, and attacked

3) A random individual there randomly who attacked randomly
