In my plan I made the assumption that X+E's bedroom was the one right next to the staircase going up to the third floor which would mean the killer's movement would be possibly limited to a portion of the house where it would be conceivable to have the two surviving roommates not hear anything. This alternate floorplan doesn't necessarily change that but makes it a bit harder to believe IMO considering X+E's bedroom would be directly above one of the two surviving roommates bedrooms. Not to mention these are the two who are widely considered to have fought back. I have no idea if the person just made a guess of which room was theirs or if they actually have that information.
I made an educated guess based on the blood coming out of the second floor down the side of the first floor (what IMO was a converted garage with soundproofing)

@Garshin posted this on the last thread. I couldn't figure out how to carry it forward. (and want to respond)

Here is another floorplan I found elsewhere. This matches with my previous attempt but I think is much cleaner and proportional than mine. The red numbers and camera icons still match up with the zillow listing. One thing to note is that the perspective is flipped from mine but the layout is the same (these being viewed from the back of the house where mine was from the front). The only thing I'm unsure about is the location of Xana's and Ethan's bedroom. If it is located where this particular floorplan says it is it confuses things quite a bit IMO.

THIS layout (of bedrooms is my understanding)
There were interior cameras in the house? Was the system on during the night of the crime?

Someone mentioned earlier about there being greater crowds in Moscow the weekend of November 12 & 13 because of restrictions in nearby Pullman, due to observing the anniversary of a hazing death at a college of Washington Sate University on November 12, 2019. Could the timing be conspicuous given these were also sorority/fraternity kids?

This is one of many reports:

It was also Dad’s weekend at WSU

On the subject of being seen...

The moon rose at 7:06 pm last Saturday night and set about noon on Sunday. It was directly overhead about 3:36 AM on Sunday and was about 80% full. Based on that I would say it would have been fairly bright out, assuming no cloud cover. Can anyone local comment on the weather conditions that night?
And sunrise was at 6:02 so early twilight would have begun about 5:30.

So it is confirmed that the two surviving women were on the first floor? That makes it even more weird as to why the killer decided to ignore them. This looks more and more like a targeted killing by someone who knew the victims to me.

It's taken me forever to read all the threads while simultaneously wanting to respond to Whitelilac's earlier questions.

The large white roofs are the roofs of two big apartment buildings at the end of King Road, just past the house where the students lived at 1122 King Road. See a snip of your aerial map below and a photograph of those two apartment buildings below it.
Warehouses are apartments.jpg
What appeared to possibly be a strip mall in the aerial photo below is another very large apartment building on Taylor Avenue. See a snip of your map and a street view of the apartment building below it.
Strip mall is apartments.jpg

The central and upper areas of the map snip you posted, which includes King Road, Queen Road and Taylor Avenue, are nearly all homes and apartment buildings that are rented to university students. Even the homes that appear to be single family homes in this area are nearly all rentals. For example, even the 1400 square foot homes have been chopped up into 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to pack as many students into one house as possible, the way landlords do in student housing areas.

The lower part of the map, which includes Walenta Drive and Ridge Road, are areas of lovely single-family homes that are clearly not university housing if you “walk” Google maps. You can even tell by the aerial view that these homes are on large lots. If you look at the street views, these homes are on mostly beautifully and densely landscaped lots.

The listing for this apartment says there are two bedrooms and one full bathroom on each level. Looking at the listing pictures, it doesn’t look like you could lock off a floor, although the few bedroom doors that are shown appear to have a typical bedroom door handle with a twisted tab lock. I guess the two surviving roommates must not have gotten up before noon, since neither was the 911 caller. Maybe they had a late night at home, had a bathroom on their floor, and so did not emerge to any communal area of the house before the call to 911 at almost noon. Having watched all the videos in thread #4, one of them stated that the two housemates who were unharmed locked their doors when they heard partying noises.

The listing repeatedly states “no pets allowed,” but I guess Kaylee had a dog there?

Anybody else think one purpose of the press conference tomorrow is so LE can take a look at who shows up? That was certainly one objective of LE in the Delphi press conferences.

This may have gotten lost in thread switch-
I’m more concerned now about the full in involvement of the FBI CIRG Group… and wonder about the nature of the stalking.
Anybody remember Ruby Ridge and Waco?

In response to public outcry over the standoffs at Ruby Ridge, Idaho, and of the Branch Davidians in the Waco Siege, the FBI formed the CIRG in 1994 to deal with crisis situations more efficiently. The CIRG is designated to formulate strategies, manage hostage or siege situations, and if possible resolve them "without loss of life", as pledged in a 1995 Senate hearing by FBI Director Louis Freeh, who assumed the post four-and-a-half months after the Waco Siege.

CIRG was intended to integrate tactical and investigative resources and expertise for critical incidents which necessitate an immediate response from law enforcement authorities. CIRG will deploy investigative specialists to respond to terrorist activities, hostage takings, child abductions and other high-risk repetitive violent crimes. Other major incidents include prison riots, bombings, air and train crashes, and natural disasters.

I thought it was Behavioral Analysis Unit, not CIRG. Where did you see that?

Original Information:
On the evening of November 12th, Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen were at a local bar called The Corner Club at 202 N. Main Street, in downtown Moscow, between 10 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. on November 13th. At approximately 1:40 a.m., Kaylee and Madison were seen on video at a local food vendor called the “Grub Truck” at 318 S. Main Street and used a private party for a ride home from downtown to arrive at their 1122 King Road residence at 1:45 a.m.

Investigators have determined that Ethan Chapin and Xana Kernodle were seen at the Sigma Chi house on the University of Idaho Campus at 735 Nez Perce Drive. At approximately 1:45 a.m., Ethan and Xana are believed to have returned to the residence at 1122 King Road. It was previously reported that Ethan resided at the home, however, it has been determined that he was only visiting.

Two other roommates were at the residence that night.

On November 13th, at 11:58 a.m., officers responded to the residence after a 911 call reported an unconscious individual. Upon arrival, officers discovered Kaylee, Madison, Xana, and Ethan deceased inside the residence.

Autopsies were conducted on November 17th. The Latah County Coroner confirmed the identity of the four murdered individuals and their cause and manner of death as homicide by stabbing. The coroner stated that the four victims were likely asleep, some had defensive wounds, and each was stabbed multiple times. There was no sign of sexual assault.

At this time in the investigation, detectives do not believe the two surviving roommates or the male in the Grub Truck surveillance video are involved in this crime. Additionally, online reports of the victims being tied and gagged are not accurate. The identity of the 911 caller has not been released.

As part of the investigation, detectives seized the contents of three dumpsters on King Road to locate possible evidence. Additionally, detectives have contacted local businesses to determine if a fixed-blade knife had been recently purchased.

At the time of this release, detectives have received nearly 500 tips which are being processed, investigated, and cleared. Thirty-eight interviews have been conducted with individuals who may have information about the murders. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call 208-883-7180 or tipline@ci.moscow.id.us.

This was barely released about an hour ago.
Why did the details about the 911 call come later?
