There's an interesting post on Chelsea Brentzel's Facebook (Chelsea Brentzel, KIFI KIDK).

Yes, I agree. I read a few other places, but hadn't seen anything about the rumor that the D.C. FBI was on the case. But apparently people had messaged Chelsea about it? And then in two seperate comments farther down, Chelsea explains that it's the regional Salt Lake City FBI that is on the case.
So, taken at face value, Chelsea is just trying to answer some rumors people have been bugging her about. I suppose you could read other things into it. If you have a "Websleuthy" mind.

The part I don't understand is she says "the organization saying this is relevant within the case." So what organization is saying this? Klein Investigations? One of those "Find Deorr" social media groups? No one seems to know where the rumour even came from or how it matters WHICH FBI office is covering the case.

Yes. I thought it was just me that didn't get that sentence. That's why I thought, am I just reading other meanings into this post because I'm following the case so closely, and we're all sitting here waiting for Klein to drop some more info.? And we're used to trying to figure out Klein's somewhat obtuse posts, so when we finally get something, even though it's from someone who's been straight forward in the past, we're suspicious? Heck if I know.

Klein certainly has kept us on the edge our seat waiting for any information in which to glean more information. I ponder is it fair to deem the parents guilty of maliciously having something to do with sweet Deorr's disappearance with no concrete evidence. What if you were in this situation, and you were lambasted because you did not explain your statements and observations In a way that they could not be twisted....
All I am trying to relay is that we should treat others as you would want to be treated- and- but for the grace of God go I.

Y'all can beat me up- have at it.😀

Naah, I won't beat you up. But a real "mother" behaves like a mother. And JMA hasn't behaved like a mother who's lost her own precious child since day one. And it's only gotten worse as time's progressed. As sad as it is it's not hard to see. And it is very sad.

Thank you for your thoughts.😀
People do not always react how we expect or want them to; our experiences in life condition us to believe that everyone would respond in the way we would to a certain occurrence. Sometimes we project our beliefs into a situation and expect people to have the same reaction and response as we do and it is baffling to us when they do not.

To some degree, I agree. But given the allegations by LE and two PI's, I have misgivings as to the parent's innocence, and their actions regarding their missing son only add to it. Or, maybe he was taken by a mountain lion. jmo

Oh yes, lets go here also!

While I do agree wholeheartedly with the general axiom of "not everyone is you", I think you might be stretching this a little thin. Everyone is certainly entitled to their own interpretation of the facts, but I think most people would agree the parents haven't been terribly clear. Even people of below average intelligence should be able to state general facts, and more importantly demonstrate real concern for their missing child. I think our players have almost made a mockery of the facts and have spent most of their 15 minutes of fame defending themselves from haters on social media.

Based upon your very philosophical statement above you could still throw out some of my comments but, how do you defend the players seemingly purposeful twisting of facts? Are we to believe they are so mentally lacking they can't give a mostly consistent recounting of the days events when their child disappeared?

Two birds tied together may have four wings but still can not fly. I can be mystical also!

It is true, different people react differently in the face of tragedy, or even just when on camera, or on the spot. That being said, this not about their manerisims....This is about their words. Truth is truth, no matter the body language or facial expressions of the person telling it. These two are not truthful. They also exhibit some very telling charactoristics when discussing their son. They speak of him as if he's someone else's child. Calling him little man and the boy, e.t.c. There is a severe detachment there. I read a story yesterday about a mother arrested because she left her small child, still in diapers home alone. The neighbor called 911 and the PD found him in his back yard sucking on a frozen chicken breast. Apparently he was also hungry and was long overdue for a diaper change. Other neighbors confirmed that her and the father left the child alone all the time. To look at her, you wouldn't think she was the type.

Was the post deleted on Chelsea's page? I can't find anything recent related to Deorr.

Exactly what was said on Chelsea's page? Since she's media, maybe you can come right out and say it and not hint around.

Something about like national Washington DC FBI was not involved but Idaho FBI was.

The thing is... Where's DeOrr? We were all (?) on the parents side, hoping for the best outcome, even donating money for private investigators and billboards. DeOrr was 100% not abducted, nor did a wild animal grab him, he hasn't been found near the campground, and Sherriff Bowerman named them suspects in "little mans" disappearance, along with 2 private investigators.
They've both FAILED 9 polygraphs (9 between them), and on top of all this .... their EXTREMLY disturbing behaviors.

Yes, the whole thread on Chelsea Brentzel KIFI KIDK FB page appears to have been deleted sometime last night.
Chesea's original post was that people had been messaging her, asking if it was true that the Washington DC FBI was involved in the case.
She checked with Deputy Penner of LCSO and said that no, it was not true.
She went on to say that the regional FBI continues on the case. (Office in Pocatello, regional headquarters is Salt Lake City.)
Posters questioned why she was making this post, who was making the rumors about the DC FBI, and why was it relevant.
Chelsea responded that she was trying to answer the rumors, and that it was relevant because: something to the effect of: an organization involved in the case was stating the rumors.
Posters then wanted to know what organization? They speculated that it was Klein, or one of the parent supporter FB pages.
Then there was a back-and-forth between Chelsea and posters about various places people get information about the case. Chelsea talked about how reporters do sometimes join various groups to get info. Some posters didn't think that was right.
About this time I thought, I don't think this is what Chelsea had in mind when she made the post.
Then it was gone. IMO, she was referring to Klein group as where the rumor about the FBI was coming from. I could be wrong. If anyone else saw the thread and correct what I've said, please do.
ETA: There was also a post by a relative of one of the suspects, saying that their relative was not a liar. Other posters responded with well reasoned rebuttals. :winko:

Re: "Eveyone grieves differently:" And I'm not taking this from a particular post here but from posts over the years at WS.

The only time I've clearly seen that concept is in the Lyn Balfour case - she left her son Bryce in a hot car and he died. Bryce's case was one where expert David Diamond (Forgotten baby syndrome) used to explain how a parent becoming "distracted" over every day chores can forget about their child, sometimes resulting in fatal results.

Balfour was quite an emotional anomaly with her pragmatic outlook - she kept the car that baby Bryce died in because it made economical sense. Throughout her trial she made a most unsympathetic accused. She was initially charged with second-degree murder; eventually the charge was downgraded to involuntary manslaughter (15 years). After 90 minutes the jury found her not guilty.

Apart from that case I haven't seen another where the parent acted in an unusual manner except in cases where they actually were involved in some way in the death of the child.

The Victoria Stafford case comes to mind. Even LE thought her mom was involved (strange demeanour, daily pressers, not sure we ever saw a tear, etc) ... to the extent LE even pulled off a sting trying to nail it down. Turns out that was not the case, but Mom was just one tough cookie who held up in the eye of the public.

Having said that, I don't recall that Tori's mom was caught up in a bunch of lies/inconsistencies to LE like these two seem to be.

Re: the Victoria Stafford case, I'm not familiar with it. Did LE name the mom a suspect, as in this case? Did LE publicly accuse her of lying? Did she fail polygraph tests? Just curious as I try to keep track of similarities in different cases.

Another idea I've thought about is, how common is it that one parent leaves their very young children (my understanding is the youngest was still an infant) with the other parent (still seeing them but they were primarily cared for by the other parent) immediately takes up with someone else, immediately has another baby, then down the road that baby goes missing. Have there been any cases like this where the mom (or dad) was found innocent of the disappearance of the child?
Not judging parents who don't have primary custody, just trying to see if this is something that has happened before. It is a unique set of circumstances, IMO.

For those who have been following cases for years (OK, anybody!), what's your gut feeling here? Will this get resolved??

They can't get away with this Mickshawn! One of the things that gives me hope is, how the public will not let it go!! The parents have tried to squash it, but it just gets bigger. I do sometimes think the case should be turned over (if that's even possible) to another department. It seems to big for SB and his staff (IMO).
