I can think of one idea... injecting a syringe full of air could do that.

Oh I forgot that....yep. Was in the hospital when the IV tubing disconnected from the needle....they were worried I had gotten air in my veins! I was lucky and did not....instead all the blood was pouring out of my vein because I woke up wet....and walked from the bed to the nurses station making a big mess! Yes, too bad they did not look for a needle mark. Do they routinely take pictures of deceased bodies? Especially when there is no obvious causes, such as cancer? Probably not, but I was thinking out of the box.

I would think so, because some killers have been identified by needle marks such as these "Angel of Death" nurses that poison their victims with various poisons or paralyzing drugs. ( I can think of bleach, potassium, succinyl choline (sp)... I know that others have been used)

I’m not a criminal law expert by any measure, but common sense tells me if 1) your kids are missing for months, and you appear to be unconcerned and 2) they are discovered dead and dismembered buried in your new husband’s backyard, and you still act unconcerned (except the new husband attempts to flee and appears to be pretty sure about why all these feds are swarming your yard); that chances are good you are completely aware of what happened and are GUILTY of at a minimum of conspiracy. But again, I am not any atty, just MOO

I'm not a criminal attorney, but I am a lawyer, in another country though Law principles are largely the same.
You'd be right that laws most times follow common sense and logic, they're supposed to capture societal values around a topic in a given time

Yes indeed, Riverdoc. The chances are more than good, you would think that she could have at least pretended.

Phoenix Police confirming that the investigation into the death of Joseph Ryan is closer & completed, and notes his death was a natural death.

I don't know how they did it, but, somehow, these people were eliminated because it is just too big of a coincidence that all these deaths were from "natural causes" . And it looks like they are going to get away with it.

I don’t know either, but now with yet another investigation officially closed (and another “natural death”) it appears that no one will be held accountable.

IMHO I didn’t ever have much hope that anyone would be held accountable even if these deaths were anything but natural. Beyond police departments opening themselves up to possible liability in civil litigation, having any of them admit or change any of their previous findings from investigations were different than first concluded; or admitting any possible faults in their original investigations; or anything of that nature seemed very unlikely to me. And that’s really sad, because if any of these untimely and unexpected deaths were not truly the result of “natural” causes then it would seem that anyone who had any responsibility would be getting away with zero accountability. Now with these two cases officially closed it seems even more unlikely, in my opinion, that anything in the future would substantially change their findings & conclusions. Sad, very sad, indeed IMHO.

From sheer ignorance, can the FBI step in and review their review?
Reviewing one's work is of course not the most reliable since you'll be biased to confirm what you had found before.
Not saying they didn't do their due diligence and looked at it objectively but it's impossible that confirmation bias doesn't come in play.

IMHO I'm not buying this and it's very sad these cases are more than likely not going to move forward

But is anyone saying "all these deaths" are from natural causes? There's 2 men around age 60 dying from cardiovascular disease. Heart disease and stroke is the number one cause of death for men in the US. Is it really beyond the realm of possibility that two men should die of the number 1 cause of death?

No one is saying the two spouses and two children died of natural causes. They were the deaths that had to happen for the Daybells to marry and live the life they wanted. There's no reason to suppose they murdered everyone they knew.

One of Justin's tweets in the thread is a statement from Joseph Ryan's sister AC in which she is alleging that several personal belongings were missing from the photos of Joe's apartment, taken by police upon the welfare check. She seems to suggest that Lori had at least some of those in her possession (photo albums and stacks of files). Lori claimed that the police allowed her to take the items, but shouldn't they be in the photos?

Of course. Looks like another case of Lori sweet-talking LE into letting her get away with something.
