What could the "anomolies" be that they found with the ground penetrating radar?

Probably that a hole had been dug and then filled again - if people aren't keen gardeners and haven't been turning the earth or planting / lifting shrubs or doing any type of works, the ground is solid and compact and uniform. A patch that has been disturbed would simply look 'different' in density and all the little bits of pebbles and rock that have been settled for decades would be laying differently. It's not proof of anything except ground disturbance unless it's backed up with further evidence.

Was there something about a scooter or tricycle? Maybe they found that? Or something else that definitively puts MV being buried there then removed. Maybe shoes?

They said the search has been 'productive' and given more to follow up so they must have found *something* as I'm sure that word was carefully and cautiously used.

Also, seems they are now certain that M is deceased as opposed to abducted and alive, along with 'failing to report a death'. May he rest in peace.

Recently, prior to the news conference, a blogger spoke with one of the individuals identified in a video posted to social media.
Just five days before police named the two men, Youtuber Jonathan Lee Riches spoke with Brandon Shurtliff about the young boy's disappearance.

I imagine something similar to the Kristin Smart case, described at link.

Investigators strongly believe that, based on the evidence, Michael was abducted and is dead, and that his remains were buried and later moved from the property.

Police will be searching a neighboring home on Friday. They said they have received more than 1,500 tips.

No pictures of the "neighboring home" search today? Is this the house next door with the RSO's or the second home owned by SW's parents a block or two over?

Reporter - Was the warrant that was executed in Kuna, in recent weeks, related to Branden Shurtliff?.

Chief - We did not have a warrant for any home in Kuna.

Reporter - But was there a search related to his home?.

Chief - Yes, there was.

What does this mean? Thst the search in Kuna was voulentary, rather than stemming from a warrant?

Just an observation, it seems like the FBI is and has not been involved in Michael's case in the way they have been involved in other comtemporary missing childrens cases. Am I wrong in this opinion and observation?

The FBI has been involved since the beginning. Doug Hart (who worked on the Elizabeth Smart case) is the FBI agent in charge. In a press conference this summer, police chief JD Huff said that investigators from the Fruitvale Police, the Idaho Bureau of Investigation and the FBI start each day with a meeting about the case.

I agree, something seems odd.

For the sake of accuracy, it's Fruitland Police; and it would be idaho State Police, not idaho Bureau of investigation.

Okay, that was this summer. Summer was ~6 months ago.

I read some of the articles about the dug up yard and saw NADA metioned about the FBi helping.

Contrast with Quinton Simon's case, where the local PD sought up the experience and gujdance of the FBI, especially with the landfill search. And the local PD repeatedly talked about and expressed praise for the FBI's coordination and expertise in working with them on the recovery mission.

The FBI is involved, as they have been all along.

The Fruitland team -- along with their investigative help of Idaho State Police, the FBI and Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue -- are committed to finding Vaughan, Huff said.

I can only wonder (no pun intended) if the the name "Wondra" (a/k/a a flour product that I have used to make gravy) is not a name that Sarah Wondra identity-thieved as a surname for herself and her husband.

That's all I've got right now.

IMO it's not going to look too great on all of these teams if it turns out that M was in fact so very nearby the whole time, bearing in mind every person involved is a known offender and the next door home is two RSOs specifically with crimes against children.

Wow, that was pretty thorough, thank you for posting it. So all four individuals "have first-hand knowledge" of the abduction of Michael. So someone in that house kidnapped and killed Michael and the others either 1) knew, 2) were also involved, or 3) learned after the fact and failed to report it.

It is interesting that they are not singling out any one person. Would they release the names of the other two "involved" people without first locating and arresting them if they thought one of them was the actual murderer?
I like hearing that they found additional leads to process in the house.

I wonder to what extent the word abducted" applies. Ie if someone caused harm to the boy in the street and moved him while he was alive, I can see that would be abducting, imo. But what if he were dead, then moved....is that "abducting"? LE seems persistent in using the word "abducted".
Sounds to me like he was alive when they took him against his will.

I hope this doesn't turn into another Erica Botello case or Misty Croslin (who is incarcerated forever, but still won't talk about Haleigh Cummings whereabouts)
They arrested three people and poof....This was in 1990
Case was dropped
Some of the men were incompetent.

In Indiana, if you knowingly remove another person from their location under the circumstances laid out in the statute, then you can be charged with kidnapping. The confinement statute is pretty much identical to the one for kidnapping, except that kidnapping requires a removal and criminal confinement requires a confinement without the victim's consent.Indiana Kidnapping Laws - FindLaw
