If GA hadn't.............

gone to work the night CA found Casey and brought her home - would things have turned out differently? That night was chaotic - CA calling 911, LA and CA questioning Casey, etc. IF GA had been there when Casey came home and tried (don't know whether he could have or not) to take control of the situation and asked Casey himself what was going on, would the case be where it is right now?

I guess I am wondering if GA had been there and HE had been the one to talk to Casey, not CA or LE, might Casey have told at least a semi truth - perhaps some accident and then she was afraid to admit to it - or do you think she would have just given him the same answers she gave to her mother and brother?

GA admits in all his LE interviews that he was suspicious of some of the things Casey had been saying, work particularly. Would he have realized right away that she was lying about the kidnapping that night and could he have gotten more out of her than CA and LA? He didn't seem to be as willing to believe all her lies as CA was/is.

I know this is a 'what if' thread, and I dont know if it will serve any useful purpose, but I am curious to hear what the rest of you think.

MODS, if it should be moved to a different place, please do so and my apologies for putting it somewhere I shouldn't have if you do move it.

I don't trust any of the As. For all I know, George may have stopped her from calling 911 and we still might not even know she was missing.

Respectfully, you're former LE, you smell decomp, what your experience tells you is HUMAN DECOMP, you see a stain, you know your grandbaby is missing, and you go to your job and leave your family in what must be the most horrible situation possible? Job or no job, first day or no first day, I say there's something very wrong with this scenario.

George tells LE & FBI he KNEW the smell in the car was human decomp. He told both agencies he feared both his daughter & grand daughter were in the trunk. I think when Cindy ordered George to go to work he did b/c he knows Cindy. He KNEW she would start cleaning out that car. He couldn't tell her no but he didn't want to sit around & watch her break the law either. Its the "see no evil" kind of thing going on over at that house.

 I constantly go back to that thought based on her reactions. I really do wonder if Caylee was under the care of SOMEONE" else when something happened. Could there have been a mix up on who had Caylee or was responsible for Caylee on the night of the 15th/morning of 16th? Could she have left her phone at A's along with Caylee that night - maybe went to Lee's after the angry fight. GA and CA didn't know that Casey wasnt' there locked in bedroom with Caylee. Caylee gets up in AM and get's out in the back yard? George did say in the interview that Caylee would wake him up at 7am tapping on his forehead "JoJo go swim".????
I THINK I'M LOSING IT NOW!!!

KC used her phone way to much to have left it. She will loose her kid but trust me, not her phone.

ga unfortunately has proven himself to be weak and more than capable of being bullied by the females in the household. He was no match for either kc or ca. I don't think it would have mattered much if he was there. He would have just taken his cues from ca.

If Cindy could re-do that night....no 911 call would of been made and we would never of heard of a little girl named Caylee.

ETA: Why does GA go to work when he smelled decomp? WTF? Makes no sense, never will.

Yes, as distant as the A's were from their own family according to CA's brother...they could have moved away and no one been the wiser.

I think IMO, that George going to work was an early part of the start of the coverup...."looking normal as possible."

CA's temper and fear for Caylee took their plans down another road.

Like another poster stated about what happens when you lie, the end consequences...what a horrid lesson here set by the A's. Poison spreads...and polluted everything & everyone around it.

When I saw their last presser with the new spokeperson, it was cringeworthy...George throwing on the T'shirt over his day shirt...tacky activities from DAY 1....

There are simply bad people in this world...most good people try desperately to find some rhyme or reason, condition, or answer for their behavior...but IMO this family is evil...that poor little child was (and still is) torn apart by their selfishness and greed.

I am constantly swinging back & forth about George's role in this mess. He seems to be genuine in his caring for Cindy even though I do not think she treated him well. His stories don't always have the ring of truth to me and I wonder if he is more into this cover up than he lets on. By telling things like KC stole money is he avoiding telling the larger things he knows she did. By doing this does he make himself seem more plausable to LE? Is he playing the former LE act up a bit too much? WE know he has a hot temper. I can't believe he just lets everyone walk over him at home.

I wonder if he is as confused about himself as I am about him. LOL

I had two threads open and didn't know it....speaking of confused..I was talking in both...about the same thing...

Anyway I agree with you completely...As I just posted in another thread that had no relevance I will say:

I have been suspicious, he seems like a nice guy...but this is just not making any sense....I am swaying past the crazy meter's middle point....I need a drink after watching George. I will be past out by the time I see Cindy which not be a bad thing...:tipsy:

Take my advice and make that drink a triple before you listen to Cindy. It won't help you understand her reasoning but it might help deaden the pain in your ears and brain.

I don't know if it really means anything but you know how you learn in life never to trust someone who says "Trust Me"? Well, I get that "hinky" feeling every time GA says "I'm just being straight with you guys" like he is trying to convince the FBI and LE and even the media that he is being sincere with them out of some loyalty without wanting to... To show a vulnerable side so we will have more faith in what he is saying.

OMG, quoting myself as I remember GA is a former used car salesman, it all makes sense to me now!!! lol

Yes! That was one of the things I meant. His 'relucant' honesty that he kept pointing out and his attitude of 'I'm one of you guys'. I can't believe in 'meek & mild" George. Not after his public displays of temper to protesters, medis, searchers at BP ect. Maybe he's a better actor than the rest of us think.

It's late and since I know I'll not figure him out tonight, I'm off to sleep. Night all.:seeya:

This makes so much sense. Sort of like "What I dont know wont hurt me".

He stated in the interview that he saw what was in the trunk on the 24th.... he named many items including clothes....had to smell something if he were close. If any evidence of Caylee was in the car, kc would have surely hesitated. She kept the car away from them since the 16th June...sounds like this is unusual because POPS keeps her car running and healthy. So, did he smell decomp and chose not to divulge or did he not smell it, is the question.

The interviewer, shrewdly, declined to ask.....he knew what GA would say and didn't want it on record.

:) Wings...all I could think of when I read what you posted was William H. Macy's brilliant role in Fargo! "now this true coat...I'll have to check with my boss, but this true coat..."

I agree about George...thats why I never could let myself get swayed by the "I'd die for her." IMO he was no hero in going to the GJ...he HAD to. He know's what could happen to him if he does not seem at least somewhat cooperative. The first police contact he is seperating himself and aligning himself with LE "in his own way", just enough...kind of sneaky IMO.

I was furious when he made that comment about protecting Cindy to LE...like he is being "the man" protecting the little woman y'know you guys?

Still not completely forthcoming...just edges around the facts to appease the interviewers.

I don't trust anything he says anymore than I do CA...they are involved up to their T'shirts in this somehow...started early on and like any lie, it snowballed out of control....

George may have been at work but how long we do not know. He did get on a toll hwy at 2:30 and off at 5:30 He exited at Goldenrod. It was Fashion Square Mall where he was working that day. So he didn't have to use a toll road, but I'll check tomorrow. He could have taken a lunch at 5:30.....don't know.

No things wouldnt be different, Cindy controls everyone. But if George and Cindy would have yelled screamed and told Casey to tell the truth or else, instead of babying her and enabling her, then maybe we would know what REALLY happened to Caylee by now. They both had ample time to do so since that day when they found Casey.

There wasn't much time between when CA called the police that Caylee was missing, and when the police arrived. Then the police had KC until early morning. Didn't Casey have Baez as her lawyer before leaving the jail on the 16th? GA complained to the FBI in his interview that Baez told KC to say nothing, and so she won't open up to CA or GA? I'm confused, someone please unconfuse me if I am incorrect on this.

I snipped this from someone's post on here and it's been bothering me for sometime.

"GA gets a notice that is car is sitting in a tow yard."

Wasn't the notice between the screen door, or a crack somewhere near the front door. Now I understand that they use the garage to enter, exit the house, but...

It appears to me that their mailbox is right outside the front door. Wouldn't they get their mail every day? How could they have not seen the card left from the post office days before when they got their mail out of the box?

Yeah the first notice for registered mail should have been IN the box.

Some might say oh well,Cindy did call 911 so she had no idea what happend. What if she knew? They HAD to call LE at SOME point, right?I mean people would have started asking questions re Caylee soon.
