I’m not sure if this was posted, but this is the entire hearing where state lawmakers grilled DCFS officials about their failure in AJ’s case and other child abuse cases in their state. It’s a little over 2 hours long. *Especially pointed questions were made by Representative Wherley at approx the 1:35:35 mark on the video.
A.J. FREUND CASE: DCFS officials testify at a budget hearing, where state lawmakers are expected to question the child welfare agency’s handling of previous neglect allegations against the parents of 5-year-old A.J. Freund. The boy’s parents are charged with murdering him last week.
