My question today is about the house. About 24 hours into police involvement, they served a warrant and stated they are considering the house a crime scene. Why has the father been allowed to stay there the entire time? How long do you think it would take them to clear the scene? Is it possible they were done processing it in the 4 hours he was with the police and then at the vigil?

What was the time of the 911 call? Do we know that? I swear I looked but can’t find it.
What strikes me the most is that if my kid (I have a 5 year old) wasn’t in their bed in the morning I would go through the house which would take 2-3 minutes and then I would call 911. I would not go to a gas station, talk to the assistant principal of a school down the street, “canvas” the neighborhood and THEN call 911. Not a chance. But on the flip side if they really did all that canvassing I would expect the call to be quite a bit later than 8:15. Poor AJ.
I believe it is being reported that the call came in at 9:04 am.

My gut feeling tells me AJ has been missing for quite sometime carried out of the house then possibly buried hundreds of miles away and once he was well hidden parents reported him missing.
Police are also asking residents in the area for surveillance video from home security systems or video doorbells, Kotlowski said. Anyone with video recorded between 7 a.m. on April 15 and 9 a.m. on April 18 is asked to send videos or pictures to jmattson@crystallake.org.

From the Chicago Sun-Times; Crystal Lake police release 911 call reporting 5-year-old boy missing

Cunningham’s attorney’s are expected to hold a news conference Tuesday afternoon outside the McHenry County Courthouse in Woodstock following a custody hearing regarding Cunningham’s youngest child, who has been taken into protective custody by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

Crystal Lake police release 911 call reporting 5-year-old boy missing

Interesting to see AF's 911 call released. Maybe I am reading to much into the wording but I was under the impression by her attorney statements that JC made the 911 call.
"Ms. Cunningham was physically present with law enforcement beginning the moment CLPD responded to her 911 call Thursday morning, until after 5:00 p.m. Thursday evening."

Missing boy Andrew 'AJ' Freund: Mother not cooperating with police

We do not have her listed as a suspect, we do not currently have any suspects in this case,” (Deputy Police Chief) Kotlowski said in response to the lawyers’ statement.

On a "victim friendly" site, I am not inclined to dissect this family's personal financial situation or other matters not directly associated with finding the boy. In absence of facts and clues its just idle gossip at someone elses expense. IMO.

Wow, it looks like this is a serious search - at least one msm channel is following it live.

So what do y'all think? Someone talked? A tip?
Actions speak louder than words....LE has come to the same conclusions as we have. No tips....they are doing the obvious next step that doesn't require a massive amount of manpower which is sonar in the water. IMO...they are still waiting on someone to break before putting the huge energy in a ground search.

The only value for this statement is a question....suspect for what? They have a missing child. Implies they have come to a conclusion that they haven't announced yet.....but we can guess.

There's been at least 3 suicides in Veteran's Park in the last 5 years or so. It's secluded and nearby, so it makes sense to search there first. But honestly, within an hour's drive, there are literally thousands of secluded places, from parks, wetlands, fens, river flood plains, conservation areas, gravel pits, railroad tracks, rural farms and farm roads, and woods/thickets. And I imagine that people involved in drugs know of all the secluded places to go that aren't regularly patrolled by the police and where they won't be seen by neighbors or dogwalkers, etc.
Not knowing how long little AJ has actually been gone, it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack unless they break and give a location.

I keep thinking about this. One of the things I love about living in IL (after moving from the southwest a few years ago) is all the beautiful parks and forest preserves. But with AJ on my mind every time I drive by a wooded area, I think, God, he could be anywhere.
