Missing Geneseo man found dead in car crash, RICO sheriff says

18-year-old Anthony Carr had been reported missing by the Henry County Sheriff's Office on Sunday.

• He is 6 feet tall and weighs between 135 and 140 pounds.
• He has blonde hair and blue eyes.
• Anthony drives a silver Hyundai passenger vehicle with an Illinois license plate, EV 52053.

Missing Geneseo man killed in Rock Island County crash

Anthony Carr had last been seen on Aug. 28.

Around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 2, the Rock Island County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a crash on the 30900 block of 38th Avenue North in Hillsdale. Investigators believe the car was driving westbound when it crossed over into oncoming traffic and then into a ditch before coming to a stop after colliding with a tree. The driver and lone occupant, 18-year-old Anthony Carr, was declared dead at the scene.

• Carol says she has a huge support system and she can't thank them enough.
• Anthony had just started a new job at Tyson, which is where he was going when he crashed.
• The last day she saw him, he had stopped by to show her all the things Tyson gave him.
• One of her last messages to him was to tell him how proud she was of him, to keep up the great work, and that she loved him.
• Her heart is shattered.
• There will be a Celebration of Life for Anthony next Sunday in Moline.
