Thanks for the links. That local photographer posted on twitter to expect a press conference later today (no time given yet). I think that means they found something.

It was reported in the articles last night and today that the coroner arrived at apprx 7:15 pm last night so yes they found "someone" but it has not been stated who as of yet. Here is the latest tweet Chris Yucus ‏@NT_PhotoChris 25m25 minutes ago Illinois, USA
Sgt. Boerwinkle of Illinois State Police told our reporter a press conference time will be announced later today.

Does the house they searched belong to her BIL?

Does the house they searched belong to her BIL?

Local rumors but not confirmed as yet in MSM or via LE - I guess I shouldn't say "rumors" - locals on various sites are stating that her BIL owns it, but no official confirmation anywhere that I have found

Sorry but from everything I have read on various sites this is the ONLY person who says they live there - others have said the BIL owns the property but most of the news articles, FB updates, FB comments, etc have all said the property is vacant and one states who the owner is and that he is from Rockford so I think this is a misprint in that it should have probably read that they "own" the property not that they "live" there. JMOO and I hope it gets clarified in whatever info the presser gives us today.

Lastest article which answers some questions #1 - house was vacant #2 - owner has been living in Rockford and it looks like it is not BIL #3 - BIL and wife do live in Standard but not at that property. But the article also raises more questions since it states that witnesses saw 2 stretchers and body bags removed from the house...just waiting for update and info from IL State Police sometime today. http://www.mywebtimes.com/news/loca...cle_e58b652f-21bd-5715-9652-786b2df2d054.html

OH and the teen who was tending the yard was supposedly there Sat and Sun and Sat the ground was not disturbed and Sunday it was according to article.

A village resident said the brother-in-law used to tend the property where police have dug, but more recently a "kid" has been mowing the grass. The youngster reportedly was there Saturday and Sunday doing yard work, finding disturbed ground Sunday, which had not been disturbed Saturday.

The brother-in-law knows this property............................follow me ?

OMG....so the person(s) were buried between Saturday & Sunday? I wonder where the body (or bodies) have been held until then? This is so strange.

Strange is RIGHT!!! There are so many things that are speculation and/or rumors such as DD's comment (which if you noticed he has never answered how he knows this). I am (not so) patiently waiting for the IL State Police presser that is supposed to be sometime today.

I'm being told now the conference has been canceled for tonight, press release coming later tonight. Left message for ISP regarding that

Her car was found at a truck stop, and according to locals, her body has been found at her brother-in-laws house.

Anybody know if his house is within walking distance of the truck stop ?
I don't think anyone else mentioned it yet, but the TA truck stop in Morris is between 46 and 50 miles (depending on route) to the east of the home in question.

The house they were searching is not owned by the BIL. However, two MEN were taken into custody from the sister and BIL's house in standard tonight:
The house is owned by Joe Maavich. Standard residents said Maavich has been in ill health and is living in Rockford. A couple of sheds are on the property. The house once was a gas station, looking to have been built around the 1920s.

Dewey's sister and brother-in-law, Clifford Andersen, live in Standard.

Neighbors gathered outside around 10 p.m. Tuesday said police cars swarmed Andersen's residence earlier that evening. Witnesses said two men were taken into custody from the home and taken away in police vehicles. State police did not release their names Tuesday night.

Neighbors said they also saw police tow away a vehicle from the property where the men were taken into custody.

A reporter on the scene Tuesday night said the last police vehicle left the Andersen residence around 10:25 p.m. An officer remained posted at the property where police had been digging the night before.
