Sorry but from everything I have read on various sites this is the ONLY person who says they live there - others have said the BIL owns the property but most of the news articles, FB updates, FB comments, etc have all said the property is vacant and one states who the owner is and that he is from Rockford so I think this is a misprint in that it should have probably read that they "own" the property not that they "live" there. JMOO and I hope it gets clarified in whatever info the presser gives us today.

They live in Standard, just not at the place that was the crime scene ... Standard has 8 blocks going east/west and only 3 going north south (with a main road going out of town) ....each block having very few houses on them... the rest is rural, population 220. The proximity of the crime scene and BIL house is only a couple blocks. This should be the google earth view: https://www.google.com/maps/place/S...67d27e642bf8a4!8m2!3d41.2567025!4d-89.1809185

Reporter tweets at the bottom that the BIL is in custody at bureau county jail (which is the county Deb went missing from ... standard is in putnam county).

Clifford Andersen is the brother-in-law of Dewey. Clifford Andersen and his son Nathan were witnessed being escorted from the Andersen home.

Rumor (that I personally know as fact .. still waiting on a call to become verified): the other man that was taken last night, was released in the early morning hours.

Wonder what the motive was here?

RIP Deb....,geez, her own brother-in-law.

I can't help wonder about the relationship between Deb, her sister & bro-in-law. Was there bad blood? Did he resent her for some reason? How did bro-in-law get back home after dumping her car....it seems like it was quite a distance IIRC.

Also, did Deb send the 7am text to her co-worker or did bro-in-law?

Will the lawn care kid who reported the freshly dug grave receive the reward? (Hope so)

So sorry for Deb's family, friends, acquaintances & co-workers.

I'm still pondering over your observation yesterday.................the landscaper was there on Saturday and didn't notice anything unusual, on Sunday he notices a freshly dug grave.............so exactly where was she for the 2 weeks prior to that ? Could it be that the landscaper just happened to notice it on Sunday, maybe after word of her disappearance spread ?

I have a feeling the son was arrested because he was the person that went and got Dad from the truck stop........of course his son may not have had any idea what Dad had been up to and was simply caught up in the cover-up.

Maybe Deb's nephew gave him a ride ?
The fact he was released says to me he may not have known what his dad was up to ?

Curious as to the motive --was there a life insurance policy ? One would think it wouldn't be going to the bil, though.

Edited to add : From Steelman's link #53 ; the suspect may be an EX-Bil --- so, maybe Deb helped his wife (assuming the suspects' spouse is Deb's sister ?) to escape from him ? That would cause some bad blood; imo.

Hopefully her remains are intact enough to provide plenty of evidence-- I want her killer to fry !
:moo:

Rest in eternal peace, Deb. Justice is coming !

Now we all have to sit and wonder if Deb and her sister got along alright.

Concealment of a death? Is that just what they use when they can't prove murder yet?

I only caught part of presser. IMO they can prove BIL or X BIL (whatever he is) buried her. I did catch it was an open Investigation. Perhaps forensics will prove who committed the murder????

I don't think he is an X-BIL...from comments on various other sites he and her sister are married. The press conference said that when the search warrant was executed there were 3 people present (I would say BIL, sister (his wife), and son). The presser said he is charged with a class 4 felony of concealment of a death and being held on $750,000 bond. Still an active and open investigation. They started with giving background as to when she was last seen, when her car was found, and then the address that Deb was found at on Monday. Then they stated they executed a search warrant at the BIL's house, 3 were present, and that Clifford A Anderson, 66, was being held and charged with concealment of a death and the bond amount. Ended with still an open and ongoing investigation and to call ISP if anyone has any info. That's it - not taking any questions. Very short and no other info.

Hmmm......Clifford looks to be very slight in stature, judging by his mugshot. It's hard to tell from just a headshot but I would think he would have needed help to move Deb's body. He doesn't look to be very strong from what I can tell.
