Sources tell CBS 2 the mom told investigators a man had taken the baby out a window this morning. By about 1:45 this afternoon, she changed her story several times. She finally told investigators the baby was crying a lot last night. The boyfriend went to quiet the child. She hasn’t seen the baby since.

maybe she should've done her job as a mother properly and

#1. soothed her baby

#2. not allowed a boyfriend who is not the father of the baby in the house

#3. called 911 immediately if she thought someone possibly hurt her child

#4. <modsnip>

am I allowed to post #4? not sure if it's against TOS - of it is, I apologize - I am just SO angry at people like this who don't deserve to be parents

According to a FOX 32 News source, 5-month old Joshua Summaries was crying in an apartment on the 2300 block of Galilee Avenue in Zion. The boyfriend of the boy's mother said he would go handle the crying infant.

The man stepped outside and when he returned, an argument ensued. A short time later, the woman left and called police saying her child had been abducted.

Oh, this is horrible. WTH did this guy do to little Joshua? Well, I can imagine...
I don't think this little one is with us any longer. I hope he's soon found, even if only to be laid to rest.
I watched my 5-month old niece today (on top of my own young children) & she did A LOT of crying. Wailing, piercing screaming, etc. She was just so unhappy. It was anxiety-inducing for me, but never once did it ever cross my mind to harm her for being fussy. WTH is wrong with people????

What an absolutely adorable babyboy. I just wanna pinch his cheeks and cuddle with him!

Hope he is found today.

The baby was crying early Wednesday morning and the boyfriend told her he would take care of the child. He left with the baby and came back about 10 minutes later saying he went for a smoke, the mother told police. The baby was not with him.

There was an argument between the baby's mother and boyfriend; neighbors reported hearing the shouting. The mother went to the home of the baby's father, which is nearby, but before they could talk she took off. When she got back to the home, her boyfriend was gone. Police later brought him in for questioning.

It is raining heavily in this area today. I hope that's not hampering the search. :(

Any bodies of water near where they live? Lake Michigan? Dumpsters? Abandoned houses? He was only gone for 10 minutes (if that's the truth), so unless he handed the baby off to someone else, he couldn't have taken him too far away.
I wonder what the dogs are 'saying.'

The sequence of arguing and people coming and going doesn't make much sense. If the boyfriend was only gone 10 minutes the baby would have to be nearby.

Lake Michigan is close and now it is raining. My Mom (who lives in Zion) said she has heard helicopters all morning.

Shiloh Park is only a few blocks away according to Google maps.
