Thank you for this! I still can't understand why she needed to leave kyrian in someone else's care for more than a couple days to move. A month?!! Something is just not right about this! What man would offer to keep 2 toddler boys for a month?! I'm wondering if mom and the caretaker are in on something together?

The other boy is the Grandson of the caretaker so I can see why he would agree to keep his grandchild. A month is really long though.

I wonder if it was a situation where one of the Moms thought if one boy was going might as well leave both? I doubt we will ever know.

Maybe she was paying for the care, and he needed the money.

Apparently there was a woman in the house too so maybe it was more her watching the boys than the man.

I'm just getting home from work and getting caught up. I was soooooo hoping to come home to some news. Nothing!
Maybe tomorrow. :candle:

This is simply too ridiculous for me. I mean, come ON! The man that was babysitting and maybe his GF are the last ones to see the baby. The man obviously said that a couple came and took the baby, yet we have no sketches of what these people look like? I am not buying his story although in most circumstances his story would not surprise me as being true. The only reason I do not believe him is because mom said she tried to go to see her baby and kept getting excuses.

I understand the man is in jail for an outstanding warrant but is he just not talking about the missing baby? HE KNOWS! Has his home been searched? His car? His cell phone records?

Now, why would any mother leave her baby with someone for a month just to move to a new spot? Who the heck knows what goes on in people's minds. Mom has no car, was starting a new job, moving far away on her own and I guess packing and looking for a place to live were too much for her to also be carting around a baby while doing all of this. I could do it, you could do it but some people can't.

She intended it to be for 2 weeks and said that she was put off when she tried to go get him after that. But who knows if she is being 100% honest as she may fear the bad things people will say.

Why is the babysitter and his GF not being interrogated day and night? I don't get it. They have the answer to where this baby is!

Me too.

Sad.

Some kids don't have a chance, can't decide if I'm more angry or more sad with this case.

But still....a month? That's really long for a mother to be away from her toddler.

I wasn't making excuses for her dropping him off that long. I was throwing out ideas as to how or why it happened.

I thought it was odd to take a child that far away to move apartments. I could understand a weekend but weeks or a month doesn't make sense.

No new news this morning. :(

What's going on!?!!!!?!? :tantrum:

Regarding the length of time she left Kyrian, I understood it has to do with not only the move, but a training program for the new job.
But truly, the first thing she should have done was inquired as to the day care in that area, government subsidized if need be. Then she could have brought him. I can tell by her history of posts that Kyrian was no stranger to daycare. He had been going regularly, even when she was out of work.

It's not clear to me how close she and the other mother are, but I get the impression they've been together a lot. She might have felt that having K stay with another kid his age, under the care of somebody who was presumably already familiar to him, would reduce the stress etc. of having to be in and out of a strange day care, moved around, dragged around to apartments, getting underfoot while packing, etc.

What line of work (if any) is the caregiver in?
Do we know what this man did for a living or currently does for a living?

Wish I knew even one of these answers.
I don't think anyone is actively searching right now either.[emoji20]

I don't think I've ever followed a missing child case like this one. It's like LE and the family just expect Kyrian to come home on his own :dunno:

Didn't Lanisha state she expected DNA to come in today?

Oh my gosh! You summed it up perfectly. It feels as if no one is actively looking...........

The find kyrian facebook page now requires you to "join". Lanisha's facebook page has zero updates. <modsnip> Media and LE are giving no updates. I guess we are just left to wait.
