frustrating .... 2 people Kamel Harris, Danyelle Foggs last to know Kyrian's whereabouts. Trying to contact them and have not been able to.

Going to give timeline, update of investigation.

Part that has been extrmely frustrating, there are two people, KAMEL HARRIS AND DANYELLE FOGGS, who are the last people to be with Kyrian.
We've tried numerous times to talk to them, it is extremely frustrating that we haven't been able to talk to them.
Kamel in Milwaukee, we went there, can't talk to him.
Danyelle in Chicago, same. Can't talk to her.
Very frustrating as they were the last to be with Kyrian.

DF is believed to be in the Chicagoland area, while KH is believed to be in the Milwaukee area

Passed mike to new guy, missed his name.

Sept. 5th, foot foudn in lagoon, then we found other hands, feet, then head.
Lagoon drained, no other body parts found.
DNA testing: went to Quantico, followed up on multiple MP cases, TN, AR, Gary IN, Kyrian was then brought to their attention.
DNA matched to mother of Kyrian Knox.
Kyrians mother, Lanisha and Shakela had moved to CR IA in mid August, they entrusted their children to the care of Kamel and Danyelle.
Sometime after the body parts were located, KAMEL HARRIS reported to RPD that Kyrian was missing.
He was approached by several subjects who identified themselves as friends of Lanisha, he gave Ky to them.
He gave a detailed report to RPD.
All efforts to contact him have been negative.
HE IS NOT COOPERATING.

5th sept alerted to lagoon in G. Park and recovered hands, feet, head. No other body parts found.

DNA testing by FBI took several weeks and matched Kyrian's mother.

Lanisha and Shakela just moved to Cedar Rapids. Both entrusted their respective 2-year olds to care of KH and DF.

Sometime after body parts located (week after?) KH reported Kyrian missing, told story of 2 friends of lanisha turning up and KH turned Kyrian over to them.

In subsequent statements to LE he didn't go into further detail about these two people.

LE have tried to contact KH in Milwaukee but KH is not cooperating.

One part of investigation extremely frustrating - Danyelle and Kamel were last to see Kyrian. LE have tried numerous times to contact them and have not been able to. Kamel is in Milwaukee. Foggs is in Chicagoland. Investigators have been to Milwaukee but have been unable to speak to Kamel. Will not make contact. They are critical to this investigation as they were the last people to have seen Kyrian.
Kamel reported to LE that Kyrian was missing and he gave Kyrian to two individuals. LE need to speak to Kamel for more details so they can find these people. LE have left Kamel multiple messages but he is not cooperating.

LE don't believe that K and D are running, they think they are witnesses and are frustrated that they will not help LE.
Foggs said she didn't see Kyrian being handed over, but said Kamel came back into the house and said he'd just turned Kyrian over.

Until Kyrian was ID'd there was no need to talk to them. Ever since ID happened KH and DF have been uncooperative.

(Me: I wish press would ask if KH's house has been searched!)

He's saying the only thing they have to go on are the sworn statements given to LE.

The CPD stating multiple times that they are "witnesses" speaks volumes - I think they're stating this to convince/persuade DF and KH to come in to speak to the CPD or the RPD.
