Was that the first or second time he was interviewed?
Was he detained after that interview?

I am guessing this was the second interview because in the pc doc on page 2, "....on Monday, September 9, 2013, the Defendant was re-interviewed at 11:09 pm at Illinois State Police District 12 Headquarters in Effingham...." It goes on to report it was during this interview JD gave the statements regarding the events that led to Willow's death.

Edited to fix bad link. Try this: http://fox2now.com/2013/09/11/new-details-emerge-in-death-of-willow-long/

If I'm thinking correctly anyone can call DCFS on someone. It could have been one of those nitwits on the FB Willow pages calling them and saying that the Mom is covering or the Mom let her 7 year old walk out the door alone.

Thorn- We already determined last night that the Disclosure artcile isn't considered MSM and can't be discussed or posted.

I would say yes. Anyone can call. I am wondering if something was going on there before and people wanted to call but didn't want to be the "ones" that called but when this happened they ended up doing it.

Or it is just the way it is. A child was present, a child was murdered, remove the child from the environment until we hear the parent is fit to have the child come home. If she is being investigate as well as the murder happening there, they are doing the right thing removing him no matter how it happened. JMO

Remember me telling you about the sheep attack we had here? Well, it happened in less than 10 minutes. In the time it took me to drink my coffee and smoke a cig. Went outside, sheep was down but alive with a terrible neck injury. Flies were EVERYWHERE! Blood was EVERYWHERE! It didn't all just sink in the ground either, and our ground was dry. Just awful I'm telling you!

There's NO WAY dear Willow was killed in the backyard without a huge amount of blood. Even if the cat litter was used to soak up blood, still no way. Blood clots quickly. I don't know how else to say it without getting even more graphic...but clots are like jelly. Won't be absorbed by cat litter.

Cat litter COULD have been put in the bag with willow to weigh it down though. The searchers stated the bag was heavy, and they called LE to come investigate. Willow herself shouldn't have been that heavy.

I'm upset that the little boy has lost his sister, and may be with strangers. Maybe he is with his father, and his family, I pray he is. He's been through enough!!!

I don't know if LE had to call DCFS probably standard procedure in these type of situations until things get resolved. And now the questions about if she's an accomplice make it necessary. Also the safety of the child as it would have still been living in the grandparents house and with what they are going through there has to be a risk of them hurting themselves.
I don't think LE called. I am guessing it was a neighbor.

I completely agree.

I was a single mother for 7 yrs. I used to fall asleep on the couch when my daughter was very young. I could not stay awake I was extremely exhausted. The worst thing that happened was I woke up to poo all over the place as this was during potty training at 2. It happens. Am I a bad mother? I would say no, I was working full time and I had no help whatsoever and I live with a couple of Chronic illnesses. I am tired all the time.

The child was taken out of her custody for more than just "Sleeping" in. There is more to this story.

However a child was just murdered that there to me makes it okay to remove a child from that environment until this case is over. If the mother was fit to be a parent her child will be returned to her.

Yep. I have had (failed) back surgery and will soon have a pump installed... I'm on the &^%$ couch far more often than I like. But my toddler is well cared for... jeesh, honestly, it takes a LOT to remove a kid from a parents custody. There had to be more evidence submitted to CPS/a judge for them to remove the lil dude from her custody... after Cherish Perrywinkle was handed over to a RSO, it took FL DCF what, at LEAST a month to remove the siblings... (but Lord knows FL DCF hardly gives a rats @$$...) Good for IL for jumping on it... better safe than sorry.

Sorry, I just heard about Willow today, and as I said I have not been able to read any of the proceeding pages/threads. Thank you for the heads up! It will not happen again.:blushing:

I think I took care of removing the non-MSM posts myself (I think), and again I apologize.

BBM You make a valid point with this. I didn't even think of that since he said he threw the bag IN the water. However still not enough evidence given but the fact that he made the certain comments he did about the cat litter certainly makes no damn sense.

The Gabby Goat American Pub & Grill, where Willow's mother was on Saturday evening, closes at 1am. I'm just throwing that out there in case anyone wanted to know.

He may be with "strangers" but I will go out on a limb and say he is probably in the care of medically /psychological trained professionals
- a retired doctor / nurse/ therapist.

They didn't just pick a random person off the street.
Will he stay with them? It's unlikely, so I am confident for now he is getting the love and attention he needs and deserves.

I am more worried about where he goes next.

I too am a single parent and when my older 4 kids were younger I lived in an area where their were few Families like mine. As I got involved in the community and people became aware of my relationship status I was treated differently, I always felt judged and looked down on from comments made but I believed myself to be an exceptional parent and was more involved in my kids life than most including coaching sport teams etc...But I still always felt on the outer and that I had to prove myself. (I did get to a point when I stopped worrying about others opinions and just got on with it)

Once when I was sick and had fallen asleep on the couch my 4 and 6 year olds had taken themselves up to the top of the driveway naked!

I woke up and retrieved them but in the meantime someone had rightly so rang the Police who came to see me. I felt so ashamed that I had been asleep as anything could have happened.

I could have quite easily been in a scenario as what is happening now whether it be one of my kids been hit by a car or taken by an unknown person, it makes me shudder to think.

I don't think that I would have lied to Police but I sort of understand that if she did due to her just thinking initially Willow had just ran off and would be found she would have been trying to avoid the inevitable label.

Our minds work in different ways depending on our experiences and such.

Also keep in mind if Willow's full body was x-rayed at autopsy and any old or healing fractures were found (& medical attention was not sought out) SOMEBODY has a lot more splainin to do.
And IF that were the case - not saying it is...
Little brother would get a full work up as well.

Willow may have answers to questions that no one knew to ask!
*until now.

If anyone is wondering why they do or don't take a child away after a missing child report check out this thread: Why doesn't CPS take away the minor children? - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community lots of info there, this is from Lisa Irwins case. The mom got drunk and passed out. Her baby girl went missing out of her house and has still not been found 2 years later. There were 2 young boys that are her step sons that she was watching also and they were never removed.

We have no idea what the inside of Willows house looks like. Maybe there was no food or was unsafe. It could also be that the boy was left home alone. I guess we will have to wait and see.

This might sound silly, but this is a small community and by my own opinion, Effingham is small, too. I wonder if they are trying to find out if anyone has recently purchased duct tape (bag wrapping) in any of those stores around there, or garbage bags...what type of garbage bags does Starbucks use, etc. =(

I watched the Melanie McGuire trial ( convicted, LWOP) and had a lesson in Everything you need to know about Garbage Bags, and EVERYTHING you thought you didn't need to know. I can pretty much guanantee you they have taken any garbage bags from the house and Starbucks, and have probably already started trying to locate lots#, where they where made, sold. I doubt he had a clue they can match the bags down to the marks on the bags in the remaining box to the marks on bags Willow found in ( sorry ) in. Helped convict Melanie. Unless he stopped at a store for them, I'm guessing he took them from home.JMO

Could also be that the same neighbours who supposedly told the press about alleged beer drinking and laughing at the house during the search, called DCFS about other things they had witnessed between JD, CD and the children.

Luther13. Being on the inside, in the neighborhood, can you enlighten us on what is going on locally? How are people feeling? What are their thoughts? The locals.
