I watched the Melanie McGuire trial ( convicted, LWOP) and had a lesson in Everything you need to know about Garbage Bags, and EVERYTHING you thought you didn't need to know. I can pretty much guanantee you they have taken any garbage bags from the house and Starbucks, and have probably already started trying to locate lots#, where they where made, sold. I doubt he had a clue they can match the bags down to the marks on the bags in the remaining box to the marks on bags Willow found in ( sorry ) in. Helped convict Melanie. Unless he stopped at a store for them, I'm guessing he took them from home.JMO

It really is amazing what they can do by lining up the bag or tape and find the match. Moo

I wonder about JD going to work a full hour early Sunday morning. I hope the dumpster at his place of employ and surrounding businesses have been looked at for evidence he may have dumped (bloody clothing, the knife used, etc) But since LE seem to have been onto family involvement and possible foul play from the get I am sure they have probably done that.

I just realized after sorting through the lies and mistruths being spread that the 3 y/o was left to fend for himself until 10:30? How was he not loud and insisting on food by 10:30? Did mom feed him at 8:30 then go back to bed? Did she set out cereal and pop tarts and not check on Willow? Or was she aware of what had happened and was busy figuring out her version of the story?

What time did perp go to work? I just read it but now I can't remember, I know he went an hour early.

The story is just so obviously contrived that it cannot possible be true. Who kills someone violently because of an injury they have no way of knowing the extent of? Our first instinct these days is to call for help, not to kill. To say there has to be more to this story is an understatement. Not only is there more to this story, I'd be surprised if there isn't a completely different story.

I saw the grandfather on the news explaining very matter of factly what his son had said happened. It seemed surreal. I have a feeling theres going to be more than a couple people in that house investigated for their role in this horrible crime.

Poor sweet Willow. At least nobody can hurt her now. I shudder to think of what she must have gone through in her short time on this earth.

was it in the probable cause doc linked at the fox affiliate? I don't recall if they divulged the time he showed up or if it was just noted that he showed up an hour early.

yes, the story is that incredible. And Willow's extensive defensive wounds bely his account of her flopping around as if in death throes as if she was seizing or that near death she would not be capable of trying to ward off blows.

Also keep in mind if Willow's full body was x-rayed at autopsy and any old or healing fractures were found (& medical attention was not sought out) SOMEBODY has a lot more splainin to do.
And IF that were the case - not saying it is...
Little brother would get a full work up as well.

Willow may have answers to questions that no one knew to ask!
*until now.

Ginger... You have a very good point here...

X-rays of Willow's little body may tell more stories than was initially expected...

JMO

I honestly think it is much more likely that bad things had happened to the son than Willow. Willow looked so happy and glowing in her pictures and the younger brother looked absolutely miserable and had some facial bruising in a few pics on CD's Facebook. He did however look very happy in pictures on his dad's facebook. I wouldn't be surprised if Willow caught him hurting her little brother.

Ya know it just hit me.
Someone who is already deceased does not bleed profusely!

He killed her to put her out of her misery ...

If we turn his story around ...
It could be that he killed her, in a scuffle (hence the defensive wounds.) Then stabbed her to stage a scene??

WAS he trying to hide brusing. and fingerprint marks from choking her by stabbing her in the throat and collar bone?

The dogs ... are still on my mind. No violently bloody scene...

Most abuse with in a family happens behind closed doors.

I really think that when JD realized that CD was about to call LE about Willow being missing, he likely told her he couldn't hang around and wait for LE because he had to go to work and he left before LE showed up, even though it was an hour earlier than he needed to leave. He may have lied to her about when his shift started. Either that or he was unnerved after LE did show up and questioned him and needed to get away from the house ASAP so perhaps he even cut short his interview with them at the house and said he had to leave for work. If that is the case, I'll bet the red flags were starting to go up right then and there. Even though CD had apparently indicated that Willow was alive and well that morning, I'm sure LE would have been wondering how it was that the uncle felt it necessary to go to work while his niece was missing and LE had been called in.

I don't know I think all blood can be taken care of by doing it in the tub. I think they would know if there was choking or a breaking of the windpipe already.

Maybe she was in the trunk in the morning and he left early in order to dispose of her body.

Personally I think the uncle was giving her a bath, or told her to take a shower. That's why her glasses were not on. she put on her nightgown and he fondled her, she scratched him and it upset him so he chased her as she began running. Or she was already in bed, glasses on the bedside table and he went in there and masturbated, she woke up and scratched him. This would mean she did have on a nightshirt and that's why he laundered it (DNA). I think the nightgown has the DNA but the scratch was self defense on her end. He grabbed the knife out his room and chased her down (she may have been running to a neighbors to tell)

A chase gave way, she couldn't see so she tripped and fell - he began stabbing her. Im with whomever said he was putting her out of her misery but really he snapped out of whatever fog he was in, realized what he had done and that he didn't want to get caught, so it was an overkill.

the devil is always in the details.

Come on guys...can we stop speculating about ppl other than the perp publicly? There may be family/friends reading here....

Let's not put the cart before the horse before we even know what the cart is carrying or who the horse really is. (That was the worse turn of phrase I ever came up with :)

ETA: I do not want this thread to go the way Hannah Anderson's did...thanks

I like your theory except I think the probable cause statement did note the COD as a sliced artery near her clavicle, though. I hate trying to look things up while on my phone so please let me know if I'm wrong.

I want to clarify that
I am only referring to the uncle.

The statement I made about abuse behind closed doors references all families - not just Willows
I don't want anyone to think differently! :)

I lean towards the crime happening in the bathroom as well. I remember the case of Zahra Baker all too well. Poor child was murdered at home and dismembered in the bathtub and it took LE quite some time to figure that one out. They had to rip that house apart to find evidence, including ripping out the tub, drains and flooring in the bathroom.

Didn't think that the nightgown may have been found in one of the laundry machines. I suppose that's possible and why there was a delay in finding it. That would have sent up a big red flag.

I still don't know why he said that the knife was from his room and of course, why he was keeping a knife in his room. If I had to run in my house to grab a knife for any reason, especially in a panic, as he tried to claim he was in, I think I'd head for the kitchen first. We still haven't heard if they've found the knife or the clothes he was wearing.

Gngr--I was referring to speculation that these kids were abused. That is a *strong* allegation IMO,and there are no facts that even warrant those thoughts IMO...

gngr you made a light bulb pop on for me too!! Thanks for this great post. I've been turning it over and over in my mind how did this poor little girl get hurt so badly and no bleed out (sorry all). There is no way that LE didn't at least walk the property and the home upon the initial complaint. They may not have emptied every drawer, but they would have seen tell tale signs of a clean up. Though the ME said that one of the stabbing injuries would mostly the COD, it's possible she was still breathing when it started and he tried to obliterate the other horrible things he did to her. :stormingmad:

Poor Willow, I know you are playing in heaven tonight with the other angels we know, but poor baby, you never deserved to be here on this earth for far much longer.
