Serial stranger abductions are admittedly very rare, indeed. A few I can think of that might fit into those categories to some degree: Ted Bundy, Justin Christian (arrested 2016; not sure of his background, though), Rodney Alcala (Hispanic-American, but college-educated, aka the "Dating Game Killer), Randy Kraft (earned a bachelor's in economics), Michael Ross (Cornel grad), Col. David Russell Williams, Randall Woodfield ("I-5 Killer," middle-class, high-school football star, played briefly with Green Bay Packers), William Reece (not sure he went to college, but well-respected middle-class home, white, joined National Guard).

Regarding the speculation on whether this was his first crime: Can anyone think of any similar stranger abduction cases with a suspect of this type - highly educated, white, likely middle-class male, etc?

I think it would be interesting to compare other similar cases (student on student or "normal" youngish male perp) since usually an abduction/killing of a female college student is domestic, involves stalking a particular woman, or is done by a very not-clean-cut guy with a criminal history.

The only one I can think of would be Philip Markoff, the Craigslist killer, who I believe killed 1 and robbed 2, and was engaged and a medical student. Though he lured the victims to hotels.

Thought of Bundy right after I'd posted, duh, totally! He was "lucky" at the time that DNA wasn't being used and his earlier dropping out of colleges and moving from state to state enabled him to attack/kill so many.

There is a park that I don't see listed. It's in Monticello which is like 30 minutes from Urbana. Huge park, it has a lot of visitors but also there are some places that are pretty remote. I'm shocked we haven't heard more about any search efforts. People in the area now? Are they going on currently? Would be hard for the family to organize them seeing as they are from China and don't know the area. Is LE even looking?

As sure as one can be the documents mrsobrien will post are from Brendt Christensen.

Fetlife was in the documents released by the police and will more than likely play a big role in a trial if there is one.

Found 4 girls missing within a 1:20 drive from Champaign. Two in Springfield, one from Hooperston, one from Urbana. All of them went missing from 2016 onwards. Not sure if I can post names. Waiting on admin.

The following details are from Brendt Christensen’s Fetlife profile, username Akuma689. I believe this gives much insight into his interests and possible motive for the kidnapping and probable murder of Yingying. Of particular interest is the themed groups (abduction, ropes/chains bondage, fear, domination, BDSM, etc) he was a member of. I did not enter the vast majority of these groups. I also did not find any posts made by BC, but it's possible that the search function doesn't allow to search by user or that he was a lurker. I did see some social interaction between he and other members local to him, I've redacted that content from my screen shots for their privacy.

I viewed this site in the wee hours (PST) of July 1st, so keep that in mind when reading “24 days ago” and other time references. Given that I don't know what time zone Fetlife is in, the dates could be +/- 1 day as I was there between midnight and 1 am.

I think that BC was on this site to network with folks with similar interests, though I bet he's among the very few that took his fantasy to a real life level. I have to wonder used the fantasy groups to inspire his crimes or if any of this content can provide insight into what he did to Yingying. Could he have filmed any part of the crime? Was she bound?

Eta: why I'm so sure it's him:
He uses the prefix Akuma in other SM handles (Steam for example), 689 refers to his month and year of birth and is also used in other SM (Okcupid). The age, sex, and specific location are correct. There were pics including him in friends' profiles, I did not screen shot those as they were not his profile.

Fetlife management has apparently confirmed his identity as well, there was a thread in Abduction 101 that bore his full real name shortly before the group disappeared from view. I didnt get to read it before it poofed. Not sure if the group has been deleted or is in some sort of invisible mode or something, I didn't officially join the group, I just lurked around. All his friends have removed references to relationships with him.


I'm a skeptic by nature, but given all this...I'm 100% confident this is BC.

I assume the family and LE aren't organizing big public searches is because LE already has evidence they need to pin down - finding chemicals or traces of anything in plumbing, or that he threw her in a dumpster, or even a highly specific kind of dirt on his tires. The fact that they focused on surveillance on him for so long and said they presumed her dead says a lot, I think.

If she had a body that was either recoverable/intact or dumped in a public place or they didn't have a clue, there would be public search parties of forests and fields or they'd be skimming bodies of water.

Also, no video surveillance cameras in those days. That's what nailed this guy. While too late to save Yingying, I believe it's likely he'd have tried it again.

Hmmmm, dense particle physics....are there any building projects planned for the campus. Any excavation, dense particle products being used? His M.O. in my opinion is HIDE IN PLAIN SIGHT. Since when has a camera or crowd ever scared this hubris filled man? Where did he hang out on campus? Did he like to sit in a coffee shop? He does have a construction back ground from working that kind of a job in high school.
Perhaps a project that would appeal to someone like him? Something like this? Or somewhere close by? (just thinking out loud...)

My initial research only included state parks, as it was the request per someone.
Robert Allerton is owned by U of I. Technically is not a state owned Park, so I'm guessing thats why it didn't appeared on Google maps when I entered State Park Illinois. But, yeah, it could be labeled a Public Park as U of I is a public university.

Rereading the complaint against BC and the statement he made about her showing him on her phone where she needed to go, and then she panicked when he took a wrong turn..that story makes no sense now..

To get to lincoln from clark and Goodwin, you literally turn right onto university, and the first stoplight which is literally hundreds of feet from The corner where he picked her up, take a left, and that’s lincoln. One north is directly on Lincoln.

I Mapquested Champaign to Stevens Point. He would have been familiar with Clinton Lake within like 30 minutes. If he took a trip the next day to go home there are various bodies of water along the way including the Illinois River.

True, although it seems, to me at least, not uncommon for families to organize party searches when a loved one goes missing. In this case the family was in China at first, but it is time to find her. I bet they would want to find her in any state, although preferably alive. Also, time to call NecroSearch http://necrosearch.org

Moo I believe he probably also works with chemicals that can make things disappear. I think something I read last thread mentioned lasers or energy something or other that destroys things. All over my head stuff, can't recall where.

I believe FBI knows WAY MORE. I think they are certain they have a secure case against BC. Just my gut feeling.
