Is anyone local to BC's area he lived in growing up? Curious if searches are happening there? I was looking at maps of the area with possible bodies of water and then I saw Lake Mendota mentioned more than once as a possibility for people dumping victims. I don't know if he was familiar with the area, but it peaked my interest when I noticed other victims have been found there. That is a 4 hour drive from Urbana though, but BC has not been intelligent in many other aspects so nothing is out of the realm of what he may have done imo.

You can really feel the emotion when the family speaks, to got to bed every night not knowing where your loved one is, must be unbearable. YingYing Zhang was so smart and had so much to offer the world, for many many years to come.

To Mr. BC I truly hope you are hating every second of your life without no 5AM gym session, no steam gaming sessions, no fetlife, no domination over your partners.

I truly don’t understand how someone can just sit there, knowing the family is just pleading for their life just even remains (corpse) at this point, and yet he won’t speak.

Hiya CHAMBANA....I am not going to school any of you on the merits of Murder/State prosecuting or Kidnapping/Federal. I can discern the weakness and strength of each argument...all theoretical until all the information is revealed. If BC is convicted of kidnapping, he will serve his time in Federal prison. And, if we go along with Yellow's theory/argument that if murder charges are filed BCs case will revert to the state. Given the two options....there is only one that BC wants!! He wants to get sentenced to a Federal prison....it is a no brainer. Remember his attys Bruno's advice,"You'd better share this with your parents," he tells those clients. "They will love you unconditionally, and you will need their support."
If you were so evil and selfish as to steal an innocent young lady off a street in broad daylight in order to fulfill a sordid obsession, then I would also assume when caught, you are the same evil and selfish person. Simply being arrested does not change his nature. (I wouldn't make a bet against that assumption.) Nor will he suddenly acquire a conscience of remorse towards his victim's family, either. His only concern right now is taking care of BC's future!! And as long as he keeps quiet on the whereabouts of precious YY....he has a chance of spending the rest of his miserable like in a Federal prison....and I bet it will be a prison in Wisconsin. All the women/pals (is that a generic enough description?) in his life will soon (if not already) move on. His family is not going to move to Illinois if he gives up the location and is tried for murder by the state. However, they might very well make the trek to (hypothetically, of course, Oxford, WI) ....a federal prison, not too far from home. And lastly, even if one's parents love unconditionally, it doesn't mean BC is willing to let them read, see or hear the details of his deeply depraved actions...and that will come out in a murder trial. The old adage, "Better to thought an idiot, than to open one's mouth and prove it." In BC's case, "It is better to be thought a murderer, than to disclose the location and prove it!." Federal prison vs State prison?? federal prison is probably somewhat safer because they usually aren’t as crowded, most white collar criminals go to federal prison and are generally less violent, and the staff is often better paid and may be better trained, but that isn’t a hard and fast rule.

Also, the suspects wife is off limits unless there is solid proof she is involved and at this time there is nothing to suggest she is involved..

Re. whether YY could be locked up somewhere. The only slim hope I could at this point still cling to is that BC dropped YY off at someone else's place, a person that he is only loosely acquainted with or only met online and who is therefore not, or not easily, connected to him. And YY is still being held by that person, alive. Maybe BC owed the person something. It's all extremely far fetched, I know, and doesn't fit with his taped account of what he did.

Lake Mendota is in the middle of Madison Wisconsin. Just slightly less populated than the ponds in Central Park. He not going to put her somewhere where people are around, I'm sure he's seen all the CSI shows and doesn't want any DNA to be found. He must have had some plan already in place before he took her. Like in "Casino" where Joe Pesci had the graves pre-dug before the mob hit. Here in Illinois hunting season is coming in October so most of the sparse woodlands will be thoroughly explored in a few months and if she is out in the open, will be found.

I'm thinking he didn't really have that much luck on these sites.

Sounds about right to me. I think the only things he probably unchecked were the "receiving" ends of the various degradations. He even states "friends." Call me little Nell from the country but I was surprised to read the membership #s in Champaign County alone. Wow. I'd imagine the number of those who are into "emotional torture" and 'mind ******s" are far fewer.

Apparently the lake isn't always that populated, since it appears several bodies have been dumped there in the past. Of course we only know that because they always washed ashore and were found, too, so assuming genius can read I'd think he would have avoided that. He might have dumped his clothes and any weapons or ..whatever..there though.

ETA: Some may be wondering why LE assumes she is deceased. I'm thinking BC's phone may have provided some of this information.

Sorry to sound a bit like a broken record, but I’ll re-state my own theory again:
1) I’ll buy that BC took YY back to his apt. (though I initially disbelieved it, and still don’t comprehend just how he accomplished it!). Then, either when she fought back or when he learned the Astra had been caught on tape, he killed her (within 72 hrs. of abduction). Then stuffed her into a duffle-bag, sheet/blanket, or the like, and in the dark-of-night carried her to the trunk of his Camaro; drove to outer Champaign (perhaps even farther out, but not much), to an industrial or business site during off-hours (little human activity) and dumped body into one of their dumpsters.
2) Since several landfills apparently service the Champaign-Urbana area I’m guessing LE commenced searching the one that took garbage from his own apt. complex — and that alone was probably a daunting task — but that’s probably not the landfill where she ended up (BC would’ve specifically avoided his own apt. dumpsters). I previously mentioned that the two main landfills seem to be in Danville and Clinton; I assume one of those received trucks from Stonegate Apts.; I’d explore the OTHER one (but there are other area landfills as well, and literally, her body may be irretrievable by now for all practical purposes).
3) [I’m also betting cadaver dogs got the scent of death in his apt. and there were incriminating pics on his cellphone; perhaps the ‘informant’ had many more details, not yet released, as well.]


ALL sheer speculation on my part, but I think it very simply fits a lot of the details together.

Sorry for any confusion, I suspect he killed/disposed-of her earlier too, but am simply suggesting that IF he kept her alive initially (maybe he 'enjoyed' having her struggle or fight back), that the latest he would've killed her was Mon. when it became clear police were on lookout for a black Astra -- at that point I think he would've panicked and felt a need to get rid of her if he hadn't already.
Having said all this, one can think up all sorts of twisted scenarios.

I remain very surprsed twitter has not shown up anything relevant and following it since v soon after she was captured.
I agree he took her- we saw that.
I am not 100% sure he took her to his apartment.
I am not 100% sure she is dead, though its likely.
If we just knew how to locate his contacts... they could be in any geographical location and its quite possible he had more than one phone, if his make-believe contacts was more sophisticated than he.
There are 000's of unsolved crimes in this site alone.
I'm just sending her Light in the hope her spirit receives it, whether she is alive or dead.

I personally think he killed her within the first 24 hours after abducting her, most likely that evening. This is a man that I can't imagine takes 'no' well, and I can see that he could have real anger issues. I believe he probably killed her as soon as he realized that she would have no part of his sick games. That also figures into why I think she was just dumped somewhere close by. I believe he was still stewing with anger and just wanted to be rid of her after his fantasies came crashing down. JMO
