You are thinking of Chambana. I have not seen him ( I am assuming it is a him) on here for a couple of weeks or so.

Do you have a link to that photo? I've never seen it. When you say "after the abduction," do you mean it was taken later that weekend, or sometime in the weeks after her abduction?

As far as I recall, the poster used the same gym as he did and wrote an absolutely brilliant and insightful description of his daily gym activities.
As far as I remember the same poster described seeing his car in the gym car park frequently.

So far, I've seen some pictures of the gym, but i haven't seen a detailed description of his daily gym activities. I did see someone saying they saw him in the gym acting like nothing had happened -but they were unclear on when -if it was during that weekend when she was initially missing, or if while he was under surveillance.

Also, saw someone say that the FBI, in addition to taking possession of the Saturn and his electronics on the 15th, also took some of his furniture. I had not heard that before......

Kind of sad and depressing to re-read through all that.

IF it is as opened-and-shut as rumored that he did this, I hope they throw the book at him -then pick the book up and beat him mercilessly with it.......

If you're still looking for the photo of BC in the gym I'm pretty sure it was originally posted by Loremlpsum (or less likely, but maybe, Ghoulina25), but in a quick search I wasn't able to locate it. I believe it was an older picture (before the crime, not post-crime) and probably doesn't tell us much (unless there was a large gym bag in the photo which might be interesting to see?)

Lotta folks who were active on this case earlier on don't seem to post much anymore... I wonder if they've left, moving on to other more active cases, or are they just patiently waiting/lurking for police to release more info before participating here any more?

I remember the 3 that were the most active.... 2 with lots of gym insight and one (who is braver than me) that went on fetlife for us. I hardly see them anymore.

Thanks Webthrush.. I was searching for the bag, the date, the make and model of the phone he was looking at.. but more than anything I wanted to re-read the description of his workouts..it was a massive insight into who he is.. actually it was the only eureka moment I ever experienced.. I 'knew' him when I read it.. i also 'knew' he is capable of anything..and it chilled me to my bones but inspired a long fruitless search of esoteric satanism which was the dullest study I ever did.

Amazing work and dedication in the early threads.. people become disillusioned.. hard to blame them.. also hard to witness new people going over old ground endlessly, while ignoring the early research..

Everyone just hit a wall, I reckon.. a wall, like the wall YingYing hit when she accepted a ride on a sunny day , in a new exciting world- her oyster.
Innocence and goodness and beauty desecrated so violently, so heinously..and a life quenched on the whim of one who believed he was entitled to that power of death to innocence.
I'm here 'cos I'm driven, but I have no expectations or hope...Just gonna keep on trying, no matter how fruitless the endless trips down familiar cul-de-sacs appears.. driven by the belief she is worth any effort anybody wants to make in the face of overwhelming odds.
(I still think a 'puter genius would find his tracks, if they tried hard enough)

When I was hunting around for the picture of BC in the gym one comment sort of stuck out… the poster said that some regulars at the gym were clearly into weightlifting and musclebuilding, but other guys seemed like they were there as much to scope out females as to do serious weigh-workout, and BC seemed like he was more in that category.
So even though he came there with his wife (in an “open” relationship), I wonder if he was already scoping out potential victims at his gym… and did the police interview women at the gym he may have approached? Posters said BC & his wife tended to keep to themselves and not mingle a lot, but I still wonder if he ever sized up possible victims as he did at the YZ march.

The gym post gave me the impression of a super extreme narcissist... just stared at himself while working out , constantly...

I always believed his fetlife membership was about targeting victims more than engaging every chocolate in the box.. he needed more than one woman and he needed them fast.. he could have romanced them but no foreplay for this brute.. just straight up brutality..possibly death..
I think there must have been a commercial aspect to his trawling/netting.. need his net contacts on dark web tho..
If YY was an uncontrollable impulse kill, he would not have kidnapped her on a weekend his apt was vacant.. he would have done it recklessly..

Interesting points you made about that gym...... i remember asking at the time whether he had logged in on the weekend he took her..it should not have been a difficult answer to find.. but nobody knew..

I did not get the impression that the woman he went with regularly, was actually his wife.. funny.. they both dressed in black and never made eye contact with any other member which would probably take a lot of effort, tho' I was never in a gym..

But speaking of gyms.. are there different types of gyms for SM type workouts.. are there any in the locale?

Sensing his narcissism would have forced him into some kind of a public arena.. with like minded people..
I was reading a profiler piece recently regarding targeting.. in many reports it stated the hairstyle was the first point of reference and targeting occurs in 7 seconds. I double checked the info and found it confirmed..
We got long(ish) dark hair theme recurring with him..

just wondering if anybody ever goes through missing persons cases in areas he lived- might be a useful starting point.. the hair..

The impression I got was that every female was his potential target. Those women who crossed his path and were found wanting don't know how lucky they were. I have nothing really to base it on, just a feeling. A really creepy feeling.

As are we all . I really find the FBI;s silence maddening!! I honestly can't fathom how the Zhaang family is dealing with all this. I'm just a bystander and at times ( like right now ) I'm so tempted to post some not so nice words about how poor the communication of information has been on this case. I mean BC was arrested in June right? At that time the sum total of the FBI's statements were
" we believe her to be dead " period! Flash forward five months and ..... Nothing. I gotta go scream at the wall now!

Thanks. Very sad, but there probably isn't going to be much more in the news until we get close to significant dates in the trial process, or they have a breakthrough on finding her.

I drove by her makeshift memorial yesterday. It made me sad.

On a related note, there was an article about BC and the death penalty yesterday in the local paper.

Some are saying this means they can't trade taking death off the table in exchange for her location. Reading it closely, I think that they still can, it's just that using it as a tool to extract info can't be how they justify their seeking it. It has to be a death-penalty worthy offense and they have to decide to seek it first -they just can't threaten to seek it if the perp doesn't divulge the location. I think they could probably still exchange it in a deal; it just has to be after conviction -in other words, perhaps the prosecutors getting the judge to agree to not imposing it and imposing life without parole in exchange for her location.
