Our rubbish is collected from our houses or flats as part of our local council tax charges. Usually split into recyclables and non such.
When we were discussing cameras I just wondered why noone mentioned dumpster cam as being normal?
I honestly would have thought it was odd until recently when a neighboring village of only 600 people discussed getting one installed on the community recycling bin because people were dumping non-allowed items regularly enough that it was costing the town for labor and proper disposal. So now I figure if it's a big enough problem in a tiny village for them to consider this, it's probably been being done in cities for a while.

That said, it's only recently come to my attention so it's not something I would have thought of off the top of my head.

OK! Here’s what I could find. Fetlife profile screen caps can be found at msobriens Google Drive link. It still works. Just checked it! [emoji106]

Most of his activity happened in one “swoop,” so to speak, or in a fairly short timeframe.

You can see the shots here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BxaBCXt...ENlc1NRMDQ

ETA: I JUST OPENED THE LINK. But it’s not working in Tapatalk when I click it in this post. Hmmmm. Is it working for anyone else? If not I’ll figure out something

Links at the beginning of threads have not been working for me in tapatalk either. It's been a problem for at least a week.

Not making a slippery slope argument but this is quite the ethnocentric statement. American MSM reports on erroneous information all the time thus it is by no means the gold standard in journalism practice. The journalism industry is global in scale and there is every manner of outstanding journalism happening in other countries. One look at prestigious American schools of journalism and you'll find Chinese faculty hired to teach journalism to American journalist hopefuls. To say that only MSM sources are credible is ludicrous and self-serving.

He gave a list of reasons he found the source may lack credibility, and none of those reasons included or eluded to the source's country of origin.

Thank you, King. We just want justice for Yingying. We want to know the facts about what happened and about what’s happening in this case. That’s why we’re here.

I'll help look around kittythehare! I share your intuitions, so let's keep sleuthing unfazed.

Thanks girl! That cement building is screaming blue murder at me..
Would love to see it either was or is being thoroughly completely searched..

Apologies if it's already been posted upthread anywhere. Here's YYZ family attorney discussing his thoughts on the case. It's not a transcript, but it's insight. Hope it's helpful. I thought it was.

Please forgive me if you know this already, but my Chinese friends tell me the article was written by Southern City reporter Shen Peng and the article's copyright is owned by the Southern City newspaper.

Maybe our best shot is to ask the reporter if a transcript or video of the event exists. Apparently SOUTHERN CITY PAPER is based in Gungdong. http://intl-advertising.com/newspapers.html

The reporter has a LinkedIn page https://www.linkedin.com/in/shen-peng-30790190/

Thats a great idea.. It was mentioned, source and known to be good but not reporter's name.
Its worth a shot.

This is olllld news, but someone possibly mentioned upthread is mentioned very little online anywhere and was mentioned by YYZ's family in a letter they sent to media. Criminal investigation expert Shiquan Liu. Letter linked/published by the http://www.news-gazette.com. Another SL mentioned upthread doesn't exist online in reference to YYZ, afaict.

NG pdf link here: http://www.news-gazette.com/sites/all/files/pdf/2017/09/06/Public_Letter_from_the_Zhang_Family.pdf

Thusly, according to the mutual agreement by the family and UIUC, we decided to elevatethe target amount of the fund-raising, for the main purpose of gaining the capacity to continuesearching for Yingying even after FBI stops working on such, till Yingying is found. According 3to the estimate of Kelly Ayers2 with American Cold Case Center3 and Shiquan Liu4, a domesticcriminal investigation expert, the cost of such search shall be $500,000 to $1,000,000.

A msm China news report by Bejing News from 5 days ago includes a photo of YYZ attorney Wang Zhidong teaching "security education to young children."

It does have some interesting comments from the attorney related to YYZ.

Here's more from that safety seminar and YYZ. Quotes the attorney.

"The US police and prosecutors have collected enough evidences including an audiotape explaining how the suspect kidnapped and killed Zhang Yingying, but it would need more time to settle the case due to the prolixity of the American legal procedure," Wang Zhidong, a lawyer representing Zhang's family, told Sino-US.com at a seminar where experts discussed about how to protect China's overseas students from safety risks.

Another link. More from YYZ atty on the case, from the safety seminar:

http://sino-us.com/43/16575995365.html
Beijing News: During this period there will be other factors affecting the trial process?
Wang Zhidong: there will be. At present the federal grand jury decided to "kidnapped the crime of death" prosecution suspects. The next time the prosecution will take a few months to prepare the material, and then submitted to the Ministry of Justice, asked the death penalty review. And then the Ministry of Justice will have five to seven members of the Committee to review, decide whether the case can be executed by the death penalty. During which it will convene a separate team of lawyers to elaborate, it will take several months.

Another about the presentation: https://www.sohu.com/a/200898052_114988

Wang Zhidong: the police are still searching for the whereabouts of Yingying, but the situation is not optimistic. Although the family was told that people have died, but still have hope or luck. In looking for Ying Ying things, they will not give up. If the person is really dead, it must also find the body, take her home.

Hope that jumpstarts the search. Goodnight.

OK, now I'm confused. I thought when Bruno left the case it was primarily because they were charging BC with murder. Now I'm hearing they haven't? and won't decide whether to do do until Feb 1st? Also is it for sure the the Zhaang family will be leaving here? My God, this whole thing has just made me ill.

so, back to where we were at..
1.After the kidnapping, the suspect's phone was turned off for three to four hours, and he removed the phone's chip, so he could not be located. According to police, YZ was killed about five hours later that day.

I'm just trying to take this piecemeal again..
-he turned his phone off after the kidnapping
-he removed chip
-he brought her back to his apartment
-and she was dead by approximately 7pm, assuming she was killed 5 hrs after the kidnapping or was it 5 hrs after he removed chip? Assume the former..
But they are also checking outdoor site or sites?

No we know he drove northbound- I'm still with the feeling he stayed urban..
Are there any known dark alleys or really quiet streets or roads where he could have immobilised her without fear of interruption?

This is a really short window.. but its all we have for now.

What are the possibilities?
He had to have stopped the car in order to immobilise her? Possibly dragged her out of it? Or does outdoor site refer to where he disposed of her?

Its okay to be ill.. Its cool.. this is hellish.. we can still try finding her though..
Re DP - I am not up to speed on whether a plea bargain for her murdered body location can be offered in exchange for taking it off the table..thats a minefield.
But if we could find her we dont need anything from him and we could be a helluva lot quicker if we got sharp...

This is something from the story translated by yw0403 I'm not sure about. All the things that Wang lists the FBI using to recreate the crime scene are listed as plural: vehicles, bedrooms, smartphones, outdoor sites. Is this just a quirk of the translation that everything is listed as plural, or are they indeed looking at multiple phones and vehicles and sites?

The article did not specify the number of vehicles/bedrooms/mobile phones etc, Chinese language is very different from English, you cannot tell whether it is plural or not from the word itself. So mobile phones in my translation means mobile phone or mobile phones, can be both.

Please don't read too much into the words I used in my translation, my English is not very good:( and sometimes I have to reply on some translation tools.

Thank you for reading my posts though;)
