Video of BC at UI counseling shown. “I’ve always been interested in the bad guys,” he tells counseling staffer. Noted an interest in Ted Bundy because he was “literally the worst person I’ve ever heard of
(AA)
strange order of evidence, isn't it?

Counselor asked him about his thoughts about harming others. Asked if there were specific people he had in mind. BC: “Not specific people. There’s probably a type I would look for.” @WCIA3
  1. BC calls her “bunny” and “my kitten”. They talk about the investigation and BC’s plans to reach out to the FBI for a second interview. “I’m trying to clear my name,” he tells her. @WCIA3

FBI special agent Andrew Huckstadt testifies that BC’s girlfriend Terra Bullis began to wear a wire for them. Nine conversations were recorded in a device about half the size of a sticky note

BC tells girlfriend he’s noticed a truck following him, and says he finds it amusing. Bullis says “I’m glad you’re laughing about it.” @WCIA3
BC recorded telling girlfriend about the duffel bag, and the cat tree he says was in it. He claims he has no idea what happened to it. @
  1. Regarding wire recordings, he told his girlfriend he wants to clear his name and put this all behind us. Amused by noticeable surveillance. Got worried when fbi announced his vehicle had been located (6/6)

Said search for Ms Zhang continued well into 2018. Searched Clinton Lake Nov 24, 2017. Searched Allerton Park in 2018. Didn't find anything. (4/5)
Exactly as I thought. They have likely been methodically searching local lakes and parks, and haven't turned anything up. I hope they have searched the Lake of the Woods area in Mahomet.

Again, if LE have been searching public places it's odd they haven't encouraged the public to assist in such searches (as in most cases), or at the very least be on the lookout for clothing, belongings, remains when the public is out recreationally... unless LE knows that any remnants of YY are in such a gruesome state that they feel it is better for no member of the public to find them.

...the bit about the boyfriend shaking Mr. C's hand moves me... on-the-one-hand I can barely imagine how he could do it, and on the other hand I can imagine how absolutely compelled he must have felt to do just that.

I hope we get more reports on how the family and the jurors are holding up (are the jurors' faces showing any emotion?)

  1. "Always been interested in the bad guys" particularly ted bundy. Had made some homicidal plans but dropped them (3/6)

Former Illinois Gov. George Ryan, who took the first step toward abolishing the state’s death penalty by placing a moratorium on executions in Illinois in 2000, a year after the state’s last execution, said the federal decision to hold a death penalty trial in Illinois subverted the will of the majority of the residents.

He said he opposes the death penalty on the grounds it’s impossible to ensure innocent people will never be put to death. (!!!)

BBM.

Folks, ya' can't make this stuff up.

4 of Illinois' most recent 7 governors are incarcerated, yes over half, and that includes Mr. Ryan:

4 of Illinois' last 7 governors went to prison

Well perhaps he & our boy BC can be roomies???

JMHO YMMV

Christensen Trial: Video from 2nd FBI interview played at Yingying Zhang murder trial

"Zhang's family has been in court for all of this, and so has Christensen's father.

During a recess, Zhang's boyfriend was seen walking over to Christensen's father, extended a handshake and exchanged a couple of words, a kind gesture at the end of a difficult week for both families."

What a wonderful gracious gesture - I am amazed at their fortitude.

Hi everyone,

I will confess that I lost track of this case for awhile, and didn't realize the trial had started. I just got done reading the transcript with the opening remarks, and I am gobsmacked by the defense.

Is their case really based on that idea that BC didn't killed 12 other people? Respectfully, who cares? That isn't what he is on trial for! They admit that he did the things that he IS on trial for.

HE was the one that brought these 12 others into it. BC did that. The FBI found no evidence, and given that - BC won't be charged with other killings. It doesn't matter that he may have been drunk when he said it. That is not what this trial is about, it's about what he did to Ying Ying. And as his defense says, within the first minute of their opening...

"So let me just say here at the outset, it will be startling for many of you to hear, Brendt Christensen is responsible for the death of Yingying."

I am not following - why are we even having a trial? Because the FBI followed up on their clients OWN remarks?

Is this real life?

He was a busy boy on the 8 June, all the extra shopping he had to do BEFORE he took YY. 30 gallon bags! Maybe he was thinking about cutting them open to spread over the floor? He failed at that judging by the amount of blood that was around.

Why not a TARP?
Does this guy do everything the difficult way?

Not *that* weird, if you consider that he may have used bags on hand in his apartment that weekend to wrap dismembered parts before putting them in the duffel bag to take out for disposal, and to throw out trash associated with the cleanup. Then Monday, he goes and buys bags to replace what he has used and gets some drano to run through the bathtub and sink drains in an attempt to further sanitize them.

Sanitize with drano? Again? What in the world? Why not bleach?

ABC version reckons defense are trying to get torture thrown out
Zhang's family has been in court for all of this, and so has Christensen's father.

listen to the tape,l ast line.
Zhang's boyfriend walked over to BC's dad and extended his hand..

Wow, especially since he has been talking to his son throughout the trial.

= How did he get her into his apartment?
=How did she die?
=when did she die?
=Where is her body?
Put him on the stand, someone, please.

That would seal his fate without a doubt. I'd watch that.

I can't imagine that the body would be gruesome at this point, it would be skeletal.
