Greer lives in Warsaw, and according to his mother, was last seen five miles south of Camp Point, Illinois, on July 28.

Greer is listed as five foot, seven inches, and weighs 150 lbs. Greer has blue eyes, dark brown hair, glasses, multiple piercings, and tattoos.

His mother said he drives a gray 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, Illinois, license plate number DK47206, and the middle of the front grill is missing on the car.

Searches have spanned from Tioga, Illinois, to Camp Point to Warsaw, with drone deployments also being utilized.

Zeb Greer's mother said he was last seen near Camp Point on July 28.

Smith said Greer was helped out of a ditch by a local resident. According to Smith, that resident then gave the 27-year-old directions back to Warsaw from Camp Point. The man also allowed Greer to use his cell phone to call his parents.

”We can verify that the vehicle did drive past the ATM in Camp Point and we do have it on camera going past the Paloma FS, west of Camp Point, after that we don’t have anything on camera,” Smith said.

2 charged after car break in, purse swiped with 'valuable jewelry'​

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ill. (KHQA) — Two Warsaw men are accused of burglarizing a vehicle and stealing a purse with valuable items inside including jewelry.

T.J.G., 25, and Zebulon C. Greer, 26, were arrested early Wednesday morning.

The men were arrested and taken to the Hancock County Jail where they were charged with burglary to a motor vehicle and theftof more than $10,000.
 
This has been an exhausting search. There are so many back roads and ravines. Also the Mississippi River is also right there. We know which way Zeb was supposed to take, but he could have taken a different route if he got to an area he was familiar with.
 

Warsaw, Illinois man now missing for 30 days, police asking public to check cameras​

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ill. (WGEM) - A Warsaw, Illinois man has now been missing for one month, and police are asking for the public’s help now more than ever.

”There are no bad leads,” Hancock County Chief Deputy Josh Smith said.

Smith said 27-year-old Zebulon “Zeb” Greer was last seen on Sunday, July 28, near Camp Point driving a 2004 gray Mercury Grand Marquis, license plate number DK47206. The front grill of the car is missing.

Smith is asking anyone with a Ring Doorbell or outdoor surveillance cameras to check them. Last week, Smith said divers searched local ponds for about three days. Additionally, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office used their boat and sonar equipment to scan parts of the Mississippi River.

Smith said the search is currently in a holding pattern. He’s currently working with residents in Hannibal where a possible sighting might have occurred.

“Any information, we will check it out and try to corroborate, try to figure out what’s going on here, wherever Zeb could be. We’re not sure at all what happened,” Smith added.

On Thursday, local emergency management agencies scheduled a ground search for early Thursday morning.

At 8 a.m. during the search, human remains were found 300 yards away from the car.

Police said a positive identification of the remains has not been confirmed and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office are investigating the death.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office and the Adams County Coroner's Office took over the scene and a death investigation is underway.

No further information will be released until a positive identification of the deceased has been confirmed.

ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. (WGEM) - The human remains found on Thursday near a missing Warsaw man’s car have been identified as 27-year-old Zebulon Greer, according to Adams County Coroner Scott Graham.
