Warsaw, Illinois man now missing for 30 days, police asking public to check cameras
HANCOCK COUNTY, Ill. (WGEM) - A Warsaw, Illinois man has now been
missing for one month, and police are asking for the public’s help now more than ever.
”There are no bad leads,” Hancock County Chief Deputy Josh Smith said.
Smith said 27-year-old Zebulon “Zeb” Greer was last seen on Sunday, July 28, near Camp Point driving a 2004 gray Mercury Grand Marquis, license plate number DK47206. The front grill of the car is missing.
Smith said Greer was helped out of a ditch by a local resident. According to Smith, that resident then gave the 27-year-old directions back to Warsaw from Camp Point. The man also allowed Greer to use his cell phone to call his parents.
We can verify that the vehicle did drive past the ATM in Camp Point and we do have it on camera going past the Paloma FS, west of Camp Point, after that we don’t have anything on camera,” Smith said.
Smith is asking anyone with a Ring Doorbell or outdoor surveillance cameras to check them. Last week, Smith said divers searched local ponds for about three days. Additionally, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office used their boat and sonar equipment to scan parts of the Mississippi River.
Smith said the search is currently in a holding pattern. He’s currently working with residents in Hannibal where a possible sighting might have occurred.
“Any information, we will check it out and try to corroborate, try to figure out what’s going on here, wherever Zeb could be. We’re not sure at all what happened,” Smith added.

Smith emphasized that Greer is not wanted for anything criminal related
