Thanks for the question. I believe most people (myself included) want to know why. It's human nature, especially in a murder so heinous. How could this happen?

In my mind RA is bridge guy no doubt. I think he went there solely that day with the intentions to kill those girls and by a stroke of our misfortune, was overlooked as a suspect early on.

I believe he was quite pleased with himself as time wore on and wasn't arrested. Enough that I think he may have gone on to eventually commit another murder in the future.

I only would want to make sure that RA is bridge guy with more evidence and maybe that information will be released in the future. Maybe the defense has already received new evidence that makes them question the innocence of Richard Allen?

When people cannot figure something out, I think they come to the conclusion that the "why" does not matter.

The arrest of RA came out of the blue. Since he wasn't on anyone's radar, that is enough for a lot of folks to think LE must have it wrong, and that they rushed to arrest. RI said long ago that when they caught the guy, LE had the evidence they needed for a conviction. I guess we'll see. Up to this point, though, the public has been far more eager and willing to string up innocent people in this case than LE has.

As of November 2022, NMcL stood before the court and said that they believe RA was the man on the bridge, and that they have good reason to believe he was not the only actor in the murders. I don't want to see an innocent man go to prison for a crime he didn't commit, of course, but we have absolutely no idea what evidence LE and the prosecution has for them to make those claims (other than the PCA), so I'm not personally comfortable dismissing the claims based on my own beliefs. What other evidence they have on RA, or if they still believe others are involved, only time will tell.

It’s the trial which will prove RA guilty or not guilty. I doubt the evidence will be released to the general public in advance of that. All of us on the outside don’t always agree with the final court verdict and that’s okay, it’s just an opinion important to remember that of jurors counts more than ours. It’s what the justice system was built upon.

Prosecutor wants assurances Allen's attorneys won't publish sensitive evidence

McLeland filed the motion for a court order on Monday, requesting, "That the discovery material shall not be publicly exhibited, displayed, shown or used for educational, research or demonstrative purposes or used in any other manner, except in judicial proceedings in the above referenced action."

The prosecutor's motion also asks that the court limit the viewing and copying of the evidence to only Allen, his attorneys or the defense's expert witnesses or investigators. The evidence is not to be shown to any person who is not supposed to view it, including witnesses, Allen's family members, relatives or friends, according to the motion.

I know there is a gag order in this case. I never thought the evidence would be released to the public before the trial. I doubt all the evidence will be released to the public even when there is a verdict, without some type of legal request.

I only hoped that the probable cause would have been stronger to substantiate the arrest so that the speculation would go away. When I found out an arrest was made, I thought the case was over because of all the evidence former prosecutor Ives said the murderer left at the crime scene. Now I sometimes wonder if law enforcement arrested the right person.

id like to reverse what is being said here
the fact that this suspect was caught without any prior signs and that he was completely under the radar ..and was caught in the middle of the KAK circus
point to him as BG ..we always said BG wasnt the big bad wolf with many red herrings attached that everyone was looking for.

My worry is that they do have the right person in custody, but that the public demand for evidence in advance of the trial will compromise the case.

Imo, the public can demand all it wants, but the court won't fold to that demand. The prosecution is taking steps to prevent too much information from coming out, and I think the judge will order accordingly.
