Been following along with not much to add. Some good discussions.

JMO
The one thing I have always wondered about since the very beginning was the early discussions about geocaching and that possibly they may have went to the bridge that day to search for geocaches. The bridge has one that is a known geocache site. Some very early discussion that certain groups that do that sort of thing post online about it and others would have been able to see if they were coming there that day. Just a theory that maybe the BG saw that some people were coming there that day and he may have been lying in wait for them. I always wondered if the BG was underneath the bridge and popped up in the middle from the trestles. They would not have had a chance to retreat if he climbed up those trestles in the middle.

Googling "Geocaching found Delphi Trails" the 1st link down shows the bridge and trestle area.

If even this was somehow involved it doesnt help solve the case unless LE can identify someone who was online and posting about that days geosearch and it turns out to be BG.

If he was just viewing online then it doesnt help.

What if BG was "down the hill" all along? In his vehicle. All he had to do was come "up the hill" and start to cross the bridge and double back on them. Never came all the way across the bridge at all. If the pic of him was only 70-80 feet from them then he may have went by them and turned around at that point. At this point they knew they were in trouble and took the picture. After he got them "down the hill" they realized he meant business and they took off running.

Jmo LE will be very pleased to announce when they have a real suspect...they are not going to prevaricate. This is a 2-year old double child murder. So I think we can trust to know soon after they do.

Very plausible. regardless, the girls must have not felt comfortable that's why he was recorded by one of them. That road went to another farm I believe so it would not have been completely safe for him to park his car. Better to be the graveyard. Regardless, the whole process was well-thought-out. IQ of 120 or better in my opinion.

the information regarding TB having a path past the bridge when coming from his brother's ( in-laws?) house ...has it been confirmed? if the path he would take brings him past the bridge literally there..then I am not having trouble seeing this as a possible match.

I agree that TB is very sick and a good choice. mOO

So was CE cleared as a suspect?

To those who think CE looks exactly like the sketch, I suppose he could be considered a suspect but unless there’s evidence to directly link him to the Delphi murders, to LE he’s just another of the 36000+ tips who’s come to their attention during the course of their ongoing investigation.

Indiana police investigating new lead in cold case murder of two teens
“...The Randolph County Sheriff's Department had earlier said Eldridge did not have any connection to the cold case murders.

"Outside of the person resembling the sketch, there is currently zero evidence that ties him to this case and he is not a suspect in the case," the department said in a statement.

Because there have been thousands of tips since the girls disappeared, the families Abigail and Liberty said they weren't getting their hopes up...”

FYI, in case anyone else needs it:

pre·var·i·cate
/prəˈverəˌkāt/
verb
  1. speak or act in an evasive way.
"he seemed to prevaricate when journalists asked pointed questions"
synonyms: be evasive, beat about the bush, hedge, fence, shilly-shally, shuffle, dodge (the issue), sidestep (the issue), pussyfoot, equivocate, be noncommittal, parry questions, be vague, vacillate, quibble, cavil, lie; More

Well I missed this tidbit of info if accurate.

I think so, too. When we hear BG is found, we will know it from a reliable news source. And we will all be shocked.

Why in the heck would a lone guy force two girls off the bridge and kill them? That would be the motive and that will have to wait until he is caught, I assume.

As for the opportunity... did BG have a vantage point and understood who was around who could be a witness and when to make his move? Isn’t that what a hunter would do? (I don’t hunt, but wonder if he had planned the timing down just right to get them off the bridge and down the hill without anyone seeing anything).

He could have been under the bridge watching their steps over the wooden ties. That’s one theory I have that never got much leverage.

I am not local, but there may be other places someone could have a good vantage on the bridge and be able to track and have the confidence to get the girls off the bridge and down the hill without anyone seeing.

ETA: wasn’t sure what the wood cross parts on train tracks were called, and not sure that is what the wooden planking on the Monon High Bridge would be referred. Train experts might help.

My DNA came back telling me my eyes were green. They are not even close to green. Just saying.

Wow!!!!!!! Are you serious????!!!

I uploaded my DNA raw file to a few additional sites and the one predicting my eye color stated why they concluded my eyes were hazel-brown. They said this chromosome implies yellow, that one has amber, another has blue, etc. They also affirmed that it wasn't a given that the prediction was accurate and that it's based on cumulative information from different chromosomes. IOW, they made a "best guess," which in my case the picture of what they thought my eye looked like was eerily dead on.

But... all of that is irrelevant in terms of matching DNA to a person, including familial DNA; that's accurate and while experts in trial are asked the probabilities, new DNA test methods are so good that the 1 in xx people matching often goes beyond the global population.

So while it may be difficult to predict individual characteristics, the DNA matches will be spot on, assuming LE has a profile. I've teetered on and off between LE having DNA or partial DNA, mainly because it's hard to believe the murderer isn't on file anywhere or that a relative of the murderer has never had a swab.

Also, even today there's no guarantee that every swab taken in every state is actually entered in the central datatabase; some swabs may still be waiting for analysis, some have been misplaced or destroyed in the past. It's a crap shoot IMO. Eventually I believe we'll have a solid source but right now I'm not convinced every felon's DNA is findable. MOO.

This is a roller coaster. But we can sleuth and we should. No sketch ever looks exactly like a convicted suspect. It is like a little map also. I had to provide facial details once to LE for a possible murder suspect. It was the most difficult thing to do. For most of us, we are not extremely observant. Especially in this “phone in our face” lifestyle. This was in the late 80’s and I worked at a local grocery store. A murder suspect apparently came into our store and through my line. When you are in the hot seat and providing details you almost want to be done because there are so many intricate details that you just can NOT recall... I wanted to do my best but when they show you so many noses or so many eyes, you get to the point where you choose one because you have to.....

All this media attention to this particular suspect is unprecedented (IMO) in Abby and Libby’s unsolved murders. I know the big three prior suspects were RL, DN and TB, but I can’t remember any of them getting this kind of attention by the media. Maybe RL.

All that to say, I am not sure it means anything other than media outlets springing off each other and a renewed interest in the case, coming up on the 2 year anniversary.

I’m so behind here. Who is TB?
