Yep, not that. I agree it’s a jumbled up mess of blue jeans caught at the wrong moment to look like that. It might be a clue... don’t know. (That his pants are too big o_O)

Maybe an Ex-LE talked to one of his "colleagues", who is a Non-Ex, in a friendly and "conspiratorial" (not recognizable to the officer) way on behalf of a man, please not to involve the poor innocent guy in a "circus" like that, because of reputation.
The poor innocent man (with the looks of NBG) had to have been around the area and around that specific time of course, maybe got interviewed briefly with a lot of respect. Otherwise he wouldn't have needed an advocate, if he hadn't been there. MOO
Didn't Libby's Grandfather or Father say he called a friend who was a police (ex?) officer for advice when he first realized the girls were missing?

“Because of the deteriorated condition of the bridge, the suspect is not walking naturally.”

7:27 mark.

Alright, I accept that he's not walking naturally due to the condition of the bridge. The question then remains, why even release the video if it provides no further help in identifying him. The still shot was sufficient.

Oh my word! That's the last thing you'd want to tuck down your trousers. One wrong move and you could slice through the femoral artery and you're toast in minutes! Although, come to think of it, that would have been a blessing in this case.

eta: Naturally, I mean in injuring BG.
Look up firemen and axes, there's a leather cover/carrier you can put on your waistband.

Just my opinion, but I think the added brief portion of the video and also the audio "guys" were just there to re-ignite interest in the case. I think the main thing was the new sketch and change of direction. MOO

Ok. What don't I see -

A young man,
An athletic man
A woman
A non white person
A news boy cap
A tidy man
A clean man
A jogger
A nice man
A friendly man
A fat man
Glasses
Cigarette smoke
Rucksack
Walking stick

That's about it but probably more will come to mind.

We all seem to see (or not see) BG's attire differently....wondering, has LE ever clarified in MSM what they 'see', besides an estimated height and weight for BG? Was a description given of his clothing? Was it clarified if he was wearing a hat or fanny bag?

He potentially could work in a casino. Not only because of the shift, but because people in casinos don’t pay much attention to workers around them, they are so glued to their slot machines. I don’t gamble - I observed what was going on on the floor, gamblers are so focused on the game, anyone could fly under any radars there. They may pay some attention to the croupiers or people greeting them or giving them out money, but not people on the floor when they are playing.

And casino life is pretty isolating, I think.

(Or a person who lost a lot could be so angry, he’d take it on two innocent people. Not very typical, but happens). MOO

The other thing about casino work is there are many people behind the scenes that the public never sees: The chefs and staffs in the kitchens, the people manning the security cameras, the person behind the scenes who counts the money from the cage, the bookkeepers, etc. Do people really notice the man standing at the hot food table, carving the roast beef; the guy restocking the salad bar with giant bowls of lettuce, etc?
If the casino is large enough to have a theater for live performances, you have the theater crews: light techs, assistant costumer, wig wrangler, people in charge of the horses for equestrian events such as a Tournament of Knights-medieval dinner, to name just a few.
Just to add: a man riding a horse outside of or at the edges of Delphi wouldn't really be paid much attention to in daylight. Maybe a "Look, Johnny!!! Look Suzie!!! See the man riding the pretty horse along the road" remark from a car passing by,

Agree, there must be a relevance.

My opinion: If your closest family member or friend were walking, you'd probably recognize them - even without seeing their face. I know I have seen my partner walk on all sorts of terrain, including stepping over something on the floor in our residence or in a parking lot - or a sidewalk. Same with closest friends. It could be something as simple as the shape of the shoulders or posture. I see some people are hypothesizing that he seems to favor his left leg. If he does, that would help and you wouldn't be able to see that in the still picture. If it helps someone recognize or even just send in a tip then it is useful. IMO.

After all this time, maybe it is hard to imagine with such a brutal ending, the perp isn’t a diabolical mastermind, but a local who took advantage of school being out that day. Not sure how that figures in, if at all, but it could be important.

The motive is important and I am not getting any clues from Carter nor anything from MSM at all, but the basis behind the opportunity and means could be that simple... no school.

I know many have stated that school being off that day is important and I have overlooked it, thinking BG was an older transient. Rethinking after watching the shifting tide in thinking by the investigators from the last press conference. IMO.

I think right at the beginning they described him in a blue jacket and brown hoody, but that is all I can recall.

That’s what I recall as well... nothing was said about a hat but the first sketch had a newspaper boy hat, which the public was asked not to focus. Of course, when TB came along, who could ignore it then? There have been a few other suspects. Older than the lower end of the new suspect age range. What that sketch has cost in terms of investigatory man hours fielding calls. Lesson learned, I suppose, and on we go.

The problem with all of this is, on the one hand they're telling us to look at how he walks (gait) and on the other hand they're saying it's not his true gait because of the poor condition of the bridge. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. You can't have it both ways. I don't see how releasing the video helped at all.

With respect to him favouring his left leg, how do we know that if his "gait" is off because he's walking this notoriously precarious bridge? As well, I don't think the video enriched us in identifying his posture in any way. He's somewhat slouched forward and looking down in the pic and video, likely so he doesn't miss a step and fall off (wish the turd had), but also shielding his face from the girls.

JMHO

This is such a frustrating case. I really thought they(LE) were close to solving it. I just want justice and closure for the family

Unfortunately, I now think they(LE) have missed and possibly botched many parts of the investigation.
Hopefully not. I recently read a mystery novel featuring technical forensics and voice recognition. I realize my novel may have placed forensics ahead of where it stands in 2019 but I believe the study of voice recognition could be extremely beneficial in identifying a suspect. I doubt the science is as if this date admissible in court. Lie detectors are not but are still used in investigations.

I wouldn't trust this video to show an accurate representation of his gait, and I am not surprised that he's looking down. He's very high up in the air without any rails, and some of the boards are either rotten or missing altogether. It's very awkward to walk across it.This isn't a place where one would take a casual stroll.
or...be able to stalk people then, either....oy.

MISSING: Two 13-year-old Carroll Co. girls

In this early report from 13/14th Feb 2017 it mentions that DNR were part of the search teams.

Could someone please explain a little about the Deptmnt for Natural Resources? Is it like a UK environment agency ( Rivers/woodlands etc)?

Would this be a Delphi based unit or from elsewhere in County or State?

TIA

Agree. I can buy the jacket, hat, and even multiple layers if it's chilly. The scarf, though, I have a harder time with. I can get my men to wear gloves, coats, and hats but they rarely don scarves unless they're out there shoveling snow.

I think it is because in the US, most people are in or out of the car when it is cold. In places where people spend more time outside in cold weather, scarf and mittens are a good gift.

So either guy is young, just over 18, and did not have a car when in HS, hence the habit to bundle up, or he used to live in a city area and did not need a car to commute. Or else, used to live in a place with colder winters. The Dakotas, Alaska, Canada.

I think this guy has a distinctive walk, but they can not really say so, so in fact, they are inviting us to imagine him walking like this on the ground, without saying it (“ah, oh, the bridge, of course...”).

Now imagine him walking like this on the ground...

With respect to him favouring his left leg, how do we know that if his "gait" is off because he's walking this notoriously precarious bridge? I wonder if he was always has poor eye contact, and maybe, slight torticollis? (Spasm of one neck muscle - it looks as if the person is listening, bending head to one side, or turning one ear to the listener)

torticollis - Google Search
