Got many threads to catch up on....
From the get go alot of folk myself included really couldnt get past the cat fishing idea.

I got stuck on the reset of Libbys PHONE.

The take away....LE can lie to our faces about whatever they like to keep things under wrap.

This hinders them as much as helps IMO.

How many children and parents were not having important conversations about this stuff that should have been??

Its upsetting to think about this case on so many levels.

Just praying their close.

Absolutely it’s possible.

I remember when the internet was new and people weren’t savvy enough to put passwords on their wifi.

It was a thing to do if you didn’t have internet at home. Drive around until you could connect.

In fact, that’s exactly what people did to access *advertiser censored* and hide yourself.

Be interesting to know if his phone connected automatically but since he reset his phone that info is lost.

Also dead is the idea they have no clue who did it. I think we are back to they are trying to determine which one for certain and be ready to nail him.

So, if LE has no information from KAK's phone between 2/10 and 2/15, when all the grooming and leading up to the meetup took place, as they said in the interview, then how do they know about that grooming? I think they got it off L's phone. And if that's the case, then I think the reset took place prior to that activity, which sort of makes wonder.

Also, the Detective made it very clear that it is still possible to retrieve data from Snapchat even though you think the info is gone.

Country Club Rd. Why was that location not redacted? It's a relatively short and sparsely populated road. It being left in on the interview puts a lot of pressure on its residences, imo. Hmm.

Nonetheless, I'm thinking about it's role in the discussion with KAK. GPS puts his phone at that location, not necessarily KAK. What is NOT said during that interview is whether or not a_shots communicated with L from that house. In fact, it's stated elsewhere in the interview that the only place a_shots could be linked to was the house where KAK and his father lived. LE does state that there was *advertiser censored* activity occurring on that phone from that house.

We don't know what time the phone was there, either. Could it clear the user from being at the crime scene, or was it more a means to disprove KAK's claims of being with his dad all day? IDK. Maybe there was online activity happening from both locations at the same time? Because how would they know KAK and his dad weren't both at that CC Rd house?

I feel like the person at that house, when the phone was there, is potentially important, though. Either as a witness, an alibi, or an involved party. JMO.

*Random question. If somebody intended to go out and SA and/or murder someone, would it be typical behavior to look at *advertiser censored* ahead of time? Like...to start the rush, or something? Sorry...I'm not well versed on criminal psychology, so it's a genuine question.

If he was high on cocaine perhaps. Otherwise you’d expect nerves to drown out the desire to look at *advertiser censored*. IMO.

Not this case, but grooming can start with flattery. Then a job offer. As in, you have beautiful hands. I can send your photo to my agent. He wants to pay you. Increasingly more risqué photos. Bend things. Make a girl feel bad for letting an (imaginary) agent down.

A girl might panic and reset her phone to get those images gone.

I don't know what happened in this case but it's heartbreaking to think innocents were manipulated. What this case has revealed about the darkside is devastating.

The pit of humanity seems to have no bottom.

Exactly. LE seems to be using this to break KAK's stated alibi.

Occam's Razor adapts to every possible reality... If you hear a flock of geese, you're not going to declare it a herd of horses. It's really just an algorithm, the product of which = most likely reality.

If they use FBI/national police capabilities they could possibly retrieve deleted data that's way beyond the point of retrieval inside say iOS. It is possible but expensive and time consuming.

Both girls were just kids. My opinion only, someone told L to factory reset her phone because they wanted the phone wiped clean of something. Again, my opinion only, I recall the story being L's phone was "glitching" so she or ? Physically factory reset the phone. At the age of the girls and with my children being the same ages, the number one concern was losing pictures. My girls, they wouldn't have wanted to do anything to lose those pictures. An adult may have known to back the phone up to something. But again this was kind of early in the internet wild west. A picture or pictures may have been on her phone that someone wanted to be sure they were off. Educated speculation (mom intuition) on my part

Wow what an interesting development.

This makes me want to think on and readjust things that are still hovering in my head wanting to land in the right place.

All my speculation...

BG is not the only one involved in the girl's stalking, abductions and murders. At the least it was two men, IMO. I'm also entertaining it was possibly three.

If there was a third man maybe he left the group before the murders, when he saw what was starting to occur? Maybe it was the guy under the bridge heard arguing?

We know from Abby's Mom online interview that police told her 50+ people were near and on those trails that day...so lots of possibilities. At 27:45

Kids on the trails that day encountered a man that brushed past them when they said Hi. He was dressed all in black according to the children.

I'm also remembering that man who plays the horn, who was working very nearby and saw something he thought police should know. Maybe he was the witness who saw sketch #2 or maybe what he saw was something to do with that vehicle that was so mysteriously described by LE? Maybe both?

I had wondered that, too. My knowledge is minimal on wifi connections, but why would a phone need to connect to a home's wifi to begin with?

I thought KAK said near the beginning of the interview that he has no cellular service, that his phone is only operable over wifi. So he would need an open network, or, if at a friend's house, he probably was in the habit of asking if he could hop on their wifi to send texts, etc.

It could be that the re-set is, in fact, just what it was claimed by family to be - her apps were starting to freeze up because her phone was full or files were corrupted. Now that we know how extensively she used it and how indiscriminate about who she talked to online, this seems possible (not blaming her, she is just a child). So she asked for family help in re-setting it and a relative helped her (as family said in interviews with GH and others) - it was not something she did in secret. Perhaps the re-set on her end was innocent but just seems otherwise in light of everything that happened after the re-set.
