A big sticking point for me re: was this killer experienced or a newbie... it’s really amazing (in a bad way) that he apparently left so little personal clues/evidence that would ID him to LE. What’s the chance of that for an inexperienced killer especially with there being 2 victims? Also, unlike many killers who are caught because they run their mouth to friends afterwards, BG (at least so far) hasn’t been trapped by that. Feeling less optimistic that BG will turn out to be some young punk that hasn’t killed before-just my opinion.

Maybe he doesn't have many friends to run his mouth to? Or maybe he does and they are just now talking to LE

Of course you are right. I just believe the suspect will turn out to be, shockingly, well known in the community (not a loner).

Agreeing with you, Apples12. Good point.
I am hoping that LE has looked at young men in the area who have jobs that require them to keep fit.

BG,.....even wearing extra clothing, moved quickly.

Jobs like
1) Lifeguard at community pool.
2) Personal Trainer
3) Health club manager.

BG.....could have gone to that Trail as a teenager to hang out. He could work or live nearby now. Maybe even still live home with his parents.

I have always had a feeling he will be a younger, loner type. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if he resembles the dude that took Jayme Closs and killed her parents.

Yeah, that was what I thought way back when. I had given up on it with the evidence for an older killer, but now I'm right back where I started.

Locals - are there any billboards showing the new sketch in Delphi and surrounding areas?

I just checked and Becky told our group that they are starting over and they are sending us new fliers to be posted. No word on billboards yet.
We can do this!

Edit - I’m not local.. Sorry realizing wasn’t directed to me

And this very well may be the case. I'm just going off my own feeling from past cases I have followed on here. If he is some prolific serial killer who is well experienced I will be shocked.

To me this screams crime of opportunity and very risky, I think he is inexperienced very lucky and not well known.....MOO

That’s the kind of map I like, easy to read. Thank you:)
Now I don’t get how they ended up over by Deer Creek from the Monon Bridge. They went under / across the Hoosier Highway?
I believe if they were dropped off, 'up there', at the trailhead parking lot, and they would have crossed OVER the Hoosier Hwy using the Freedom Bridge.

If BG parked at the former Social Services building, he would bypass any people (or cameras) in that area. He would also IMO have a possible vantage point to eyeball anyone on the trail. Either way, he would encounter fewer obstacles to reaching whatever goal he had set for himself.

That’s exactly the type of guy I think it’s going to be.

Young, awkward, and a loner.

An intelligent and experienced killer, probably isn’t going to brazenly murder two teenage girls in broad daylight.

I think he has a menial job, and lives on the fringes of society.

I got the impression that it is a new one with the recent updates. A reporter was in downtown Delphi and they zoomed in on a poster with pic OBG sketch. Then she held up a news paper with NBG sketch and said they will have professionals there to answer our questions. I guess like NG and JVM had people call in with questions on their shows back in the day.

Thank you for this. Hopefully there will be a way to watch it online or a repeat of it later that day.

I keep wondering about Carter saying, "You made mistakes."
We know one of his biggest mistakes was unknowingly being filmed and recorded by Libby.

What are some of the other mistakes this guy made?

I’ve thought about what mistakes he could have made a great deal since Monday.

I think I remain frustrated by the insistence that the public should know more about the details of the investigation. Several POIs in this case who turned out to have nothing to do with it have had their lives scandalized and ruined in the aftermath.

I guess I just wish people would be more sensitive to why or why not we might be given sketches or profiles at any given time. The police just know more than we do, and it has to be that way to ensure security of the investigation, to prevent copycat attacks, to ensure innocent people aren't harassed and stalked, etc...

I think there have been accusations that the police are only out to punish in this case and I think there's ample evidence that that's not the case. There is an entire community to think of. Justice for the girls is the end goal, but I can't fathom LE being willing to endanger the general public by flaying the case open and letting everyone run amok with it.

Unless I'm just totally turned around my perception is the event happened in the badly circled area. I'm more than open to correction.

Good theories.

I know most of the time there is sexual assault involved in these types of killings (young girls).

But I circle back to two theories. One is that the thought of killing itself is what grips him. Not of sexual assault. But of being able to control a person and take the light from their eyes. In some weirdos they just have a strong urge to murder. It can give them a sexual excitement or just satisfy a blood lust.

The second (which matched more to me with the first sketch or with an older guy) is the theory of a disgruntled, martinet. The kind like George Zimmerman and others we've seen who fancy themselves as authority figures and want to discipline others but who lack what it takes to actually be in law enforcement or successfully in the military. They have feelings of entitlement about the status they should have and a deep desire to be a respected authority figure, but their psychological make up precludes them from being accepted to any such position because they're weirdos and it becomes apparent to those who are capable of such positions.

If they were able to get such jobs they'd likely use those positions of authority to brutalize others, without reason.

They desperately want to use a weapon against someone they view as needing to be punished. "Your grass is a couple centimeters too high. I'm going to fine you." "You don't belong in this area. You must be up to no good. I'm going to detain you." "You aren't allowed to be on this bridge. You need to come with me."

Those are the theories I'm leaning toward.
Hi, Gitana......Re: Your last paragraph - How about " I think you are bad naughty sinful girls that I need to rid the World of " ?...........moo

No problem any updates about this are appreciated. They need to get the sketch up in and out of town and along the highways. They should put it up in bars, barbers, supermarkets, libraries, gun ranges, cinemas, bowling alleys anywhere the monster could go.
