Is it known where the girls were dropped off? I just noticed the photosphere orbs along the trail that show up in google maps when when you try to drag the yellow guy icon to a road. Anyone going over the bridge that crosses interstate 25 towards the trailhead would be very visible from the interstate, which has an exit right there that loops around to W 300 N and the trail head. Judging by the aerial it looks like people park along W300 right near that trail head. It would also be easy to sit up at that trailhead in your car and be somewhat invisible from motorists. They could sit there waiting for someone to show up, sit for few minutes making sure nobody else pulls in and then drive down to the cemetery and hike to the railroad bridge and hide to head anyone off. I wonder if the girls recorded him because they saw him once at the trailhead and once in the woods. I would think that your average person that enjoys hiking or outdoors could easily find this trail on the internet. I look for places to take the family and bookmark anything within an hour drive. Google maps puts the average walking time from the trail head at 300n to the cemetery at 12 mins, which is mostly parallel with the trail. I would think a timestamp from the voice recording and BG photo would be good for the public to know incase they were driving in the area shortly after it took place. That snapchat photo was date 2:07 right? Hopefully they are getting some vehicle leads. I think this could easily be a crime of opportunity for someone that frequently drives between Lafayette and Logansport stretch.

I have been shocked at the large number of rapes and murders that are being perpetrated on walking and hiking trails! If he has done this before then he certainly knows how to search and find remote spots like this.

There are no words to express the sadness, fear and outrage I feel as I follow this case and try as hard as I can to be of any help. I'm a trained psychoanalyst (35 years) and was hoping I might be able to harness some of that training for this case.

Recently I started thinking about the date, Valentine's Day, and decided to focus on that. I read a great deal about the origin of the holiday, with religious beginnings to St. Valentine. On some of the sites I read, discussion/comment sections followed. I was trying to discover any odd postings from February 13th or 14th. There were some, and I called the tip line. I would say that one was clearly psychotic, with rumination about hating humans, etc. from February 14, 2017. Anyone with extra energy or interest could assist in this if so moved, as there are many sites to cover.

It looks like to me that it is a small white plastic grocery bag handle. Its possible he could have taken clothing or items as a souvinear, put them in a small grocery bag and tucked them down in his jacket.

That might be possible except that the pictures were taken before the murders. MOO

The lack of progress on this case is starting to get worrisome............... I expect LE to put on a brave face and say they are chasing down leads and getting closer, they always say that. I expect LE to tell the families they are getting closer and have their eye on somebody. I expect LE to shun the media and tell them "We'll call you, you don't need to call us".

Why do I expect these things ? I just came off another case........Danielle Stislicki................second verse, same as the first.

Truth is.......everyday that goes by with no results is a bad sign. All the hope, all the expectations, all of the anticipation...............unanswered.

Maybe this case will turn out differently..........but right now it sure doesn't feel like it.

JMO, Not sure if this has been mentioned on here, but could the white thing around his neck be a lanyard? My husband "vapes" and his vaporizer is on a lanyard, around his neck. Sometimes if he puts the vaporizer, that's attached to a lanyard, in his shirt pocket, then puts his coat over it, the lanyard bunches up.

I think it was also noted a few threads ago, that in one of BG's pics, it looks like a stick or pipe shoved down his right pant leg? I agree with this theory.

Would give the perp plenty of time to either get there sign in info to hack an account or read messages and collect details.

I'm sure LE has looked into hotels/motels on 421. Approx 22 minutes between Delphi and Monticello. Monticello has:

Best Western Plus

Monticello Inn - I looked at online photos of this place and it's the typical sort of motel you find in regions throughout the US. The sort of place you could check in and no one would bother you.

Pine View Resort - $59.00 a room this time of year.

And then north of Pine View there are a cluster of hotels/motels on a lake.

Not a far drive from Delphi. In the midwest, long stretches of road connect community to community. It's not uncommon to stay at a motel in a town that's a 20 minute drive from a great-aunt because her town doesn't have a hotel or motel. From my experience.

South of Delphi, but also going west you have an Econo Lodge in Battle Ground. I gather Battle Ground is considered West Lafayette.

I didn't find any lodging directly in Delphi.

An interesting (but older) CNN article about how LE specialists (Project Vic) work with photos to make blurry details visible.

On another image of an offender with a young girl, the Project VIC team noticed a company logo on the man's sweatshirt but they couldn't decipher what was written. Some cutting edge technology helped make the logo almost completely readable. An online search for names that might match the letters led investigators to a plumbing business. The offender, a former employee, was tracked down and four victims were rescued.
