If there was more than one perp, I wonder if one of them used the other as an alibi. I know it's not likely, but it could work if they came up with something that wouldn't be likely to be seen by anyone else. Saying the two were fishing/hunting/whatever out of town would work much better than saying they were at a restaurant, work, or some other place where there would be other people to say they weren't there. MOO

"IF" there were 2 perps....they could have parked on the private drive below the trestle. One could have hung out at one end of the bridge.. near the parking lot.....and the other at the end where the girls were caught. They could have kept in contact via walkie talkies or phones and knew EXACTLY who and how many people were there!!

Are we certain the bridge behind Abby in the fishing photo is, indeed, MHB?

If it is, I agree she is standing so horribly close to the place the girls were found.

Upfront, I cannot account for the wires over her head but they might be there and we just cannot see them, IDK.

Based on the width of the water (that is the widest spot that still keeps the bridge at that angle), the distance and angle of the bridge, the light tree branches over head, the slight curve of the land, and the sunlight (looked through many photos to verify that the sun does shine in this direction and cast a shadow the way it is in this picture) this is where I am placing that picture.

If you can enlarge the photo you will see that that reddish tree has slight wispy branches hanging a little over the water.

The girls were found around the corner so it is not the same spot, but still.

I must point out that we don't know if this photo is actually taken at Monon High Bridge. I am speculating here as I could not find the bridge on the other river and I was able to line everything up so well with this bridge. JMO

I don't know if you saw the comment from a poster last night about the fishing location. He was local and he said it wasn't taken at Deer Creek; the bridge was a different one, etc. Just letting you know. I certainly don't know if he or you are right.

Hi, yes, I searched the river he was talking about and could not find a bridge. The bridge that was like the Monon High Bridge was torn down ages ago, in the 90's I believe. Since I couldn't verify that I just went with what I knew of this bridge/area and since I could line it up pretty well, I just put it out there for perusal.

Some others looked too. Someone did say they found a bridge like that but it was an hour away.

I probably should put a statement in this latest post about that. I think sometimes when you have been discussing a theory over several pages you forget that someone might come on and take your statement as fact, when really it was just a continuation of a previous discussion. Thx.

The bridge at the wabash river has round concrete pillars, i don't see them in in pic w/ Abby. And i do think that at least one would be visable in the pic. Jmo

This may very well be reporters taking liberties....but I find it VERY interesting that at 1:26 in the video/article I linked below that the reporter states that the voice from the phone IS the man in the photo: "authorities confirming to abc news that that voice belonged to the man seen in this still image".

This is the first I have heard of anyone confirming that the voice and then man were one in the same. I lean towards the "one perp" idea, but I do recall a lot of posts regarding the fact that LE was NOT linking the voice to the man indefinitely and leaving room for a possible accomplice. Anyone else think this is legitimate, or poor reporting from abc?

I'm leaning toward it being one guy. Maybe had a weapon, grabbed one and threatened them (my opinion). They were good friends and wouldn't leave each other. I would have been scared out of my wits.

This excellent video posted by Julie Melvin on March 5 gives an idea of what it's like to walk across the bridge (she posted multiple videos). I think it would be scary for a lot of people to go across (rotted wood, gaps in between ties, no railing), maybe not so much with teens/younger people. She also estimated it takes about 5-6 minutes to walk across the entire bridge.

This bridge seems absolutely petrifying to me, and while there must be an amount for which I would attempt to cross it, it would take a lot of money to convince me to do so.
It's actually quite mind-blowing to me that it's open to the public.

I am convinced BG had known this bridge prior to the murders. I just cannot imagine an adult randomly happening upon it and simply crossing it. MOO

I don't have a hinky feeling about it, but wonder what's IN it. What is stored in it? Corn? It is kind of short and fat. Looks different from other silos I've seen that are taller and skinnier.

Is it on the same property where the girls were found?
