Question and thoughts for all - IMO our BG IS a local BUT I'm unsure that it was someone really known to the girls for this reason: let's assume for a moment that Libby did intentionally video the BG and knew that her phone was recording the entirety of the crime. Wouldn't the girls (at least Libby knowing she was recording) at some point call the subject by name? Esp. if they knew the BG well, as awful as it is to say IMO there would be pleading with so and so to "not do this", etc. This is the one thing that throws me off of the well-known perp angle. What do you guys think? Thoughts?

I think Libby would have typed at least his surname fast-thinking as she was.

Something to consider, have you ever seen/smelled a meth lab? They smell HORRIBLE. They are not easily hidden...they need to be somewhere very remote generally if they're going to be in the woods. Consider the time of year, size of the area, and lack of foliage...I can not possibly imagine meth lab in the area directly where the girls were found. Too close to civilization and well-traveled trails. JMO. mooooo

Sometimes there are even underground meth labs AFAIK ....

Isn't it odd how we see different things? I keep wondering how anyone thinks they see hair when it is "obvious" to me his hair is not visible in either shot. What some see at a cowlick is a crease in the head cover (hat, hoodie or both) to my eyes.

Description from LE says he's wearing a hoodie and I do believe he has a hoodie on, but saying he's wearing a hoodie doesn't necessarily mean it's up on his head & in the one pic, to me, it's clearly down. I can see a hair part on top and a bit of a cowlick around the back of his head (his left side) and up until a couple days ago I was convinced his hoodie was up in the other pic, but after having my sister insist it's just the darker lighting (like Zulu007 has said) & that it's down in that pic too..I took another long look & have come to think she (and Zulu007) are right, that it's down in both & I'm seeing his hair. I mean, I won't say at this moment I'm 100% convinced it's down in the one pic & that's his hair, but with the other pic I am.

I couldn't sleep... I have been sleuthing, reading and studying photos all night. I can NOT believe how all of my opinions changed in a matter of hours. I can't believe my new theories. God Bless the LE, please pray for all of them...

Wow! I heard about this but had not seen the guy's photo until now. There is a remarkable resemblance for sure!

This really disgusts me. I have a fond place in my heart for the children of Ukraine. There are thousands of orphans there and they are targeted by traffickers and pornographers. I personally know dozens of orphans in Ukraine. Every single one of them will attest to being fearful of being taken by traffickers. They age out of their orphanages at the age of 16. Statistics indicate that up to 60% will go into prostitution within the next year. Kind of off topic, but something that weighs on my heart.

I wonder if looking at the bg pic on a higher resolution monitor would clean the image up slightly? I saw a huge difference in detail on my 27" 2560x1440p monitor over the picture on my phone. (Newish smart phone)

Anyone have a 4k monitor they could try looking at it? Ptobably wouldn't do much, but it's worth a shot.

If it is, I agree she is standing so horribly close to the place the girls were found.

I have done a mock up of where I think Abby fishing picture was taken if we are to assume that that is the Monon HIgh Bridge in the background.

Upfront, I cannot account for the wires over her head but they might be there and we just cannot see them, IDK.

Based on the width of the water (that is the widest spot that still keeps the bridge at that angle), the distance and angle of the bridge, the light tree branches over head, the slight curve of the land, and the sunlight (looked through many photos to verify that the sun does shine in this direction and cast a shadow the way it is in this picture) this is where I am placing that picture.

If you can enlarge the photo you will see that that reddish tree has slight wispy branches hanging a little over the water.

The girls were found around the corner so it is not the same spot.

Feel free to shoot a million holes in my theory!:shame:

I'm sorry to be a little OT but is walking the bridge scary? As in you might fall off? I think I'd get vertigo or be afraid I'd fall off the side. Thank you.

This excellent video posted by Julie Melvin on March 5 gives an idea of what it's like to walk across the bridge (she posted multiple videos). I think it would be scary for a lot of people to go across (rotted wood, gaps in between ties, no railing), maybe not so much with teens/younger people. She also estimated it takes about 5-6 minutes to walk across the entire bridge.
