Agree and I think this is an important point. I've seen the area referred by some here as a "park"...don't know how others view a park, but from where I come from, this is not a park.

It's a historical trail from what I read.
It's not where moms take their babies to play
Or hang out with other moms.

To me it's a place ppl would go to drink smoke weed and make out.
Along with one or 2 historian buffs.

I'm not sure if he followed them across the bridge. He could have started at the S side, passed them and could see that no one else was coming and turned around. IMO he was doing something that made Libby start filming him. I will be so glad when LE makes an arrest, they have plenty of time to build their case and I think that is what they are doing.

I agree the girls saw something.

I do agree though, I tend to try and find places like this for fishing and what we call creek stomping where I'm from ( walking in creeks for fun) just not in cold weather really. But even I get a feeling a creepy strangers is watching every time I go. Because you just never know. And it's sad we don't feel comfortable taking our kids to the places because this stuff is real and really happens. IMO it's a mess.

I have never felt comfortable out in the woods. Not ever.
But looking at photos of this bridge its desolate and creepy .

Some posters have alluded to the possibility the girls may have been covered or hidden. Then there has been suggestions they could have been hidden in the creek and removed later after the searches on the first day. IMO that could be likely they were hidden or even still in the creek when found. Or one in the water and one on the bank. JMO.

Did he hang them?
This would explain them not being found earlier.
No one looked up.

I'm also under the impression one died a day earlier.

The thing that still bugs me (although I have almost succumbed to the probability that this indeed did happen) was that why would he take the risk to cross the creek with the girls in chilly February creek water where he could lose control of them easily?

IMO he knew the other side of the creek was private property and he had less chance of someone happening upon them. Even though the trees weren't in full foliage, it was a lot less sparse than I'd have expected when we see reporters walk through that portion of RL's property.

"A volunteer searching for the girls discovered the bodies on private property about 50 to 60 feet from the water."

I've been trying to keep updated on this case, but the threads are moving so fast and I'm in Nursing School and have no life at the moment. I should be studying right now, but I can't stop reading.
I am not familiar with the area, but do people ride horses through these woods? Also, were there any tradeshows or livestock auctions going on in town or nearby during the time this occured? It seems this bridge is historical and would draw people who might happen to be traveling through.

I was thinking the same thing!!
If BG came up from the south side and passed them the girls would be watching him as he turned around to head back South. When BG was sure there was no one else on the bridge, after walking 80 feet, he turned around back towards the girls. The final realignment from the turn is captured on Libby's pictures.

I practiced making a walking u turn, on a narrow path, and that realignment, turning slightly left occurs.

GH's video #3 is wonderful but he may have the direction BG enters the bridge from completely wrong.

What immediately jumped out at me from the video was the long vista both on the trail leading to the bridge and the long vista on the bridge itself. IMO BG would be very exposed during that long walk on a nice day.

He is evil and smarter than we imagine. Why not wait at the south end until the girls were in his his radius of control? He would be far less apt to be seen by other walkers and tnis would explain why Libby started filming.

BG could have seen the girls dropped off and then accessed the other end of the bridge from that dirt road.

He could have been on a motorcycle.

That may be true, but we won't know with certainty until the details of the coroner's findings are made public as to cause and TOD.
