I'll tell you what, whatever RL told the police that first day when they went to his farm pissed them off. He had to step on someone's shoes! No one is going to get three years for drinking a beer with a previous DUI charge! There are other farms and houses near his and no one was interviewed like he was. There's even a furniture store located near there, no one has reported the police going there to see if someone was missing on a break that I know of! If they ever catch BG you watch and see if RL isn't released from prison on a good behavior or something charge.

Regarding RL: Jax posted a couple of weeks ago that he had been sent to Plainfield Correctional Facility. He, like almost all others convicted of a crime in Indiana, went to Diagnostics to determine which facility he would be sent to.

According to the Indiana Offender search, he's now in New Castle Correctional Annex. It's a high-security facility.

An article about the annex:

Do you think high security is for his protection?

I'd imagine, no matter what RL said in an interview, he'd be savagely attacked for it on SM and websites. Seriously, there is, IMO, strong incentive nowadays not to get involved, not to try to be helpful, not to say a word, because you'll be targeted for on-line abuse and unending suspicion.

This is so very true. When there's a tragedy the public wants to be informed and sometimes it might be beneficial in it being solved. But I notice a clear trend toward SM verbal assassination of the people close to the case who speak out. This case is no different.

Just my theory but I think this SM mindset comes from the simplicity of book and movie plots, where the character later found to be guilty is generally introduced early in the script.

He had several other convictions for OWI. He was already on probation (serving concurrent convictions) and was caught again.

Fascinating RL would be in a high-security prison. Is it connected to a rehabilitation program by any chance?

If he is housed in the high security annex I surely hope so. How he could require high security is baffling to me. What a life.

"For the most part, inmates housed in the annex will be confined solely to their pods. They will shower in their pods, eat in their pods and will use video communication to have their visitation in their pods."

And no. no. no x100000 that image does not look like RL in any way. :notgood:

Well, I must be lame because I can't find him in the New Castle offender search by # or name. Nor can I find him in the Vinelink anymore.

Odd.

Am I the only one that checked the links provided?

No chance for a snitch to claim he confessed.

Seriously though, if we choose to believe that LE doesn't always correctly inform the public, why do we believe online prison records to always be accurate?

If he's offered key evidence, he may be protected under a Witness Protection Program. MOO

Oh yeah. Chook and Dexter Morgan, very handsome twins!!

Better be careful now :blushing:

Omg IKR lol and I don't even think most of us even know if Chookie is a male or female but i bet Chook gets hit on a lot in PMs

You could be absolutely right. Good thought.

Has the local press mentioned that RL was (possibly) moved to a higher security facility?

Normally I would agree. This case definitely could have played a part in the sentence, however being from Indiana, the state is very conservative. He has had several dui's in a very short time. It does not surprise me at all with what I've seen in this state. Historically, Indiana is very strict.

ETA: Not to mention he was seriously violating probation by drinking and driving. His license was suspended.

I realize BG is a dangerous person, but would he someone who could get access to RL in a maximum securtiy prison..Really just thinking about this.If this were the case, he is in the WPP, who would theybe protecting him from? Just wondering..to go into the WPP, I would think it would be a very dangerous person/persons..moo..what do think?

Sorry, my edit did not work like I wanted it to. the first sentence should be my edit...

Those links all work for me; I checked them before posting.

I see someone did post one that worked for you. It takes us to the same info in my links.

Hi all, first-time poster here! Thanks everyone for all the great info and analysis.

Now I'm wondering if you all believe, as I do IMO, that BG is left-handed.* AFAIK LE has never mentioned his likely left-handedness. This seems like a strange thing to leave out while pleading with the public to help identify him IMO, as it eliminates from suspicion 90 percent of the population.

For those that also believe BG is a lefty, any ideas on this?

I haven't been able to follow along in a while, I hope I'm not rehashing something that's already been throughly discussed.

* The idea that he is a lefty comes from what appears IMO to be a back-facing gun-shaped object holstered at his right shoulder in the bridge pics - I've seen this pointed out here but not sure how much it's been discussed.
