So, is the thought that Greeno gets an interview with DN, DN confesses all, gives those who think he is BG all they need to convict him?

Is Indiana State Troppers, Sheriff's Office, FBI , the other LE's in this case going to ALLOW such a thing to happen? I'm pretty sure I read there was a gag order in place, perhaps I'm mistaken.

Indiana LE has already noted they are 'concerned' with KN's statements..

Are others opining that Indiana LE is just sitting back and letting KN and Greeno and the like solve their case based on she said/lied/misstated?

Also, presumably DN can make telephone calls to whomever he wants right? Within jail regulations.

Yes! For sure. Some of them cite the same source. The point was just that mainstream media considers DN a possible credible lead in order to give the story coverage...so I think WS is justified in allowing it if they choose.

Yes, why Delphi? Why does he not have any other violent charges before now? Sounds like he wasn't very good at not getting caught....which spells sloppy to me yet I don't get the feeling Delphi was sloppy.

KN said he was living under the Camby bridge (1 hr 20 minutes from Delphi). I have also read that sometimes employers pick up workers from these homeless camps so it is not too big a stretch he may have been picked up for construction work or similar towards Lafayette/Delphi/Kokomo way. Or he may have driven the car he was sleeping in. MOO

I wonder if Greeno will use the opportunity to travel to Colorado. He has expressed how he likes to not be tied down. I can see him actually going for the "in-person" interview...which wouldn't be half-bad to see!

I know! This is all so weird. Daniel Nations has all the markers for being someone like who could perpetrate a crime of this magnitude. It seems the means and motive might be in place, but not seeing he has the opportunity clearly spelled out. His closest confirmed location, via KN, was an hour and a half away from Delphi.

It's possible that after DN's brother's death and after he uprooted their family to move cross country, he was under more stress than before. If his state of mind was deteriorating, perhaps he was more likely to act out and/or more likely to make erratic mistakes in covering his behavior as well. Many people are less tolerant and more likely to snap when they're tired, depleted, mourning, etc.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports that arrest documents say 39-year-old Edward Eugene Lyles was beaten after seeking shelter in a neighbor's tent when his own caught fire.

Police say he was taken to a local hospital and treated for head trauma. Lyles died of his injuries on Tuesday.

I'm not sure if MSM runs it because it's credible - I think MSM's interest is in readership -what's believable/ attractive to a large audience.
For me, the difference in a more reputable org like Gazette doing an interview and the YT dudes doing a video interview is in at least seeing and hearing her words instead of just in print and getting passed around like a game of telephone.

That's just JMO. With the YT vid I can pick out what KN says and weigh the value in my own mind. I don't have to give any value to the guys making the vid.

Agreed - not even a little believable.There was nothing in MSM about scarves or this K rumor. What kind of people would display something carved into the chest of their murdered little girl?

Just bouncing off a few of the posts I see regarding the mention of the "K" rumor that was brought up in the Greeno youtube being discussed.

While the youtube has been allowed because it contains a video interview with KN which members find of interest, it must be remembered that the men conducting it are not LE or MSM.

The "K" rumor is just that, a rumor that has been floating around social media from early on after the girls' bodies were found. If some of you haven't heard that rumor before now it's because WS worked very hard to keep it out of this fact based discussion.

More and more waters are being mudied, lines have grown thin, between journalism and social media.

The youtube was allowed because it gives you an opportunity to hear from KN, in her own words. But as sillybilly stated in her post on this subject, members will take what they will from it.

So now the rumor has become part of the discussion thanks to Mr. Stroup and his question.

Now it will become that much harder for members to keep the rumor from growing legs into fact. But you guys are, for the most part, old pros at case discussion so I am confident that you will continue to remind one another that THIS WAS A RUMOR and should not be considered as a fact.

Please do not go there out of respect to these two beautiful young girls. It serves no reasonable purpose whether it is true or a fabrication. Maintain decorum and stand for your values by respecting the memories of Abby and Libby and the lives of their families.

I know as a fact LEO has not informed the family on the COD. LEO could never do that in this case as it is part of an ongoing double homicide investigation that only the killer would know.

I, too, have been viewing Randy, Greeno and Stroup videos. When I heard that mentioned in KNs interview, my face turned green from the nausea.

If LEO doesn't tell us, accept it as rumor. I urge each of you to use your good common sense. I am in no way telling others how to post and what they should post. These are merely my feelings and opinions.

That's my understanding as well. LE can ask you to keep quiet and be concerned about what you say, but they can't order you. A judge can, but I haven't been able to find any source that says they have in this case.

The judge also scheduled a Nov. 1 hearing to address bond for Nations and for arguments related to a gag order requested by his attorney to limit pretrial publicity

Okay, that says that they will discuss issuing a gag order at that time, relative to the Colorado charges. I don't know how broad the scope of such an order would be. Different states have different rules, but I think it would still cover KN in Indiana, for example. But I'm not sure whether Colorado could issue an order that would cover Indiana people discussing Indiana crimes, for another example.

I have to wonder if the reason DN left Indiana was because he got wind of LE asking around about him, it would not surprise me if his name came up as a certain profile . even though he was not in Delphi I am sure they were stretching out their investigation and widening their net. i wonder if he got spooked. The cops would know, they would know if they were his motivation..they would know the timing.

You know I think Daniels wide eyed looks are misleading. they keep you from imagining him as cunning.

but it looks to me like KN and DN want the media's attention, will talk to outsiders, and I hope he does talk , from what we know his favorite tale is his tale of woe, so I hope they give him all the time he needs to tell his story. Every one will want to hear it, we will, the media will, the FBI, they will..

Not all those outlets interviewed KN. There are only 2 of those that had interviews. The rest are using the original interviews; and there are duplicates in your list.

The admins and especially the owner of Websleuths put in a lot of time and energy to make these forums run smoothly in order to hopefully better the world.

If Tricia wants to admit a source as an exception, then she has earned the right to make that call in my mind. It's not like she's opening the door to copy and paste every rumor that's on the internet here. There are dozens if not hundreds I've seen elsewhere that have been barred from sharing here.

The mainstream media is interviewing KN as well (see links below), which indicates Tricia and Websleuths are not alone in believing DN could be a credible lead.

If DN agrees to an interview with Stroup, does anyone here think it will all have to be in writing? Almost like a questionnaire Stroup could send him & he then would answer, in writing & send it back? I really do not think DN is going to allow anyone to record his normal voice speaking in longer sentences (unlike the softer, shorter answers during his court proceedings). DN seems to be guarding his own voice so carefully. IMO
Also, Stroup thought it was odd when KN stated she has not spoken to DN, but 2 days after DN wrote to him, KN friends Stroup on SM.... I feel like Stroup found that very suspicious MOO
