So, where would be the closest sporting goods store to go to after picking Abby up and then what hotel would they have selected?
The park could very well have been the softball fields near Delphi Middle school??

I think it may have been the out of town grandpa, so likely not Delphi.

I REALLY don't want to get the thread closed again...Can we stick to the case and try not make this an Us vs Them thing? We're all here for the same reason and, in the end, the mods and Tricia are the ones who decide what is on the table and what isn't. The rest of us just have to follow the rules.

Us vs them? What do you mean? I thought we were all here for the same thing! Justice for Abby and Libby! That's the case!

I was referencing a post that has since been removed.Using phrases like "some posters complained" or "some posters didn't like it that" DOES create that kind of mentality and it's just not conducive to a good forum environment. I know some people are upset about things that can't be discussed-there are topics that I would like to discus (and people) that aren't allowed-but there are still plenty of things that CAN be discussed. I thought Margarita brought up some very good points today and NIN's idea about the motel/store trip the week before has me interested in sleuthing that route. We may need to start from scratch but there's plenty out there to keep us going.

Thanks. Whew! I thought it was about one of my very careful posts! I'm pretty frustrated as my logic and supportive documentation has been ordered don't go there!

So, I've got an idea...maybe to help get this thread rolling again after the big disappointment...and since we need to keep sleuthing (No Choice here)...

I'm big on initial posts. First few threads can be hot, imo. Thoughts and instincts are fresh...

How about each person find an old post and bring it forward, you know, bring forward your "cold thought", so to speak.

I'll start.

(Eta: Wow! Keep scrolling down at the link above and see post #59 by mh. There is a lot of work and thought and heart put into these threads! The stuff we can revisit/come across if we take the time to look back...)

Additionally, I think that is possibly rope sticking out of his jacket. Moo.
https://www.websleuths.com/forums/s...erty-German-14-Delphi&p=13344724#post13344724

I for my part would only repeat the same questions with no finally answers: What is the "white thing" :gaah: which seems to be stiff and seems to reach to the bottom of the jacket and why are the shoes (dark with light colored stripes and without a thick sole) looking out of the ordinary? - We aren't finding out. Til today I'm not satisfied with all the answers. I shouldn't repeat it again and it wouldn't make sense to look at my own old posts. Post of all fellow members - okay. That's another thing.

Another topic: Where was BG from, where did he stay, where did he live, whom he had visited? If he had been a patient of some Reha/hospital , would police get an answer to their question re pic/sketch?

I agree it is good to revisit. I feel however surely LE will have done this and they said that in the De-Presser. (Term borrowed from foxbluff on the TW thread)

They have one piece missing - the whodunnit piece. (also courtesy of foxbluff)

LE seem to be focusing on tips rather than anything else. What about the crime scene evidence, the digital breadcrumbs, the others on the trail that day?

What about the long delays for trucks being loaded at IP? Has that been investigated. What do the drivers do when they have been delayed for hours at a time?

I'm sure LE has this but I think if they are just waiting for someone to call, I don't think that is going to happen.

I agree with you but when opinions are questioned or even ridiculed if just makes posters turn away. And that is often detrimental to the flow of our thought processes. Even when we were commenting on a legitimate POI posters were saying they were fed up with it. If we are lucky enough for another good POI to be announced, is the same going to happen? I hope not because that's the problem here and it stifles discussion imo.

@margarita. If that is rope in his jacket it doesn't help us as we don't know they were tied up. If it is a gun in his pocket, were they shot? Again we don't know. Were one or both killed at the scene? Not known again. It sounds to me like there were a lot of people at the trail that day coming and going. If they were all local, why don't they know each other?
Why don't LE do a reconstruction? It may jog memories.

I was disappointed that the recent press conference was very difficult to hear the questions that were being asked, although I could hear the answers. Has anyone got a link or a transcript of the questions being asked? I keep looking but to no avail. Help Appreciated :-)

I've been working on it, but keep getting sidetracked with a book I'm trying to finish. If nobody else comes up with one before I finish, I'll post it here.

The WKAT media version was not bad. They also put the questioners name on the screen which was helpful. There was only a couple where it was difficult to hear.

A transcript is always helpful, just in case the videos get taken down.

I really don't know how to say this but a previous post/poster asking us to revisit some of our earlier thoughts or post. prompted me to reflect and revisit some of my earlier thoughts. The following particular aspect hasn't changed for me.

I really still don't see an older/middle aged BG I see someone younger. Late 20's TO MID 30's. I still can't imagine the voice belonging to the photo it just sounds too old for the photo in my personal opinion. The sketch for me doesn't represent what I see in the BG photo, however, the voice I can really imagine belonging to the sketch.

I have nothing else but personal opinion to base my thoughts on. I have not changed my mind since the release of the Photo/Video still, then the voice and ultimately the sketch.

Sorry for the ramble and perhaps everyone else not agreeing with me but if we all thought the same there would be no discussion.

Agreed. I mentioned it because the reporter's names are shown as the questions are asked. I haven't seen other versions so maybe they all did that.

I think it's also good to go back to the people law enforcement had questions for. In order for the new prosecutor to have probable cause for so many subpoenas (Mcleland said up to 12) there had to be new information. Now what happened around the same time Mcleland started in January? I've also been keeping my eye on new charges being filed in Carroll County. For example, 2 people(regular, with jobs etc) were charged with theft of a car from 3 years ago. The woman charged is a friend with one of the moms on Facebook. Coincidence? Maybe. Also a major drug dealer was charged in Carroll County a couple days after someone was released on home confinement and the judge admonished him at the hearing for hanging around known drug people. All I'm saying is that I believe someone in Carroll County knows more and with all this police questioning a lot more is coming to light.
I feel BG has some kind of connection to someone in Delphi.

Many thanks for this it makes a huge difference being able to hear the questions.

I've been looking at crimes that happened in the days after the murders, especially suspicious deaths. Is it possible that the only person who could positively ID BG is now dead as well? Were there any "accidental" deaths or murders a few days after the crime? It's another avenue to explore.
