yeah the temporary paralysis seems very odd to me, particularly since her unnamed friend seem confident that it should "clear up" within a few days???? But the below disturbed me even more.

To assist her dying father, Souders made a choice: She moved her three young girls to a run-down trailer park in rural Indiana to help take care of him as his lungs rotted from emphysema.

She knew it could be dangerous. The park of about two dozen homes was teeming with convicted sex offenders, with one living at nearly every address. She worried about neighbors with sex offense records who had been helping her father get by, according to trailer park residents. And before she arrived, she even asked her father if her children could be at risk for abuse from two specific men — including a suspect now accused in her daughter's death.

"He said, `No. They will not touch your children. They're doing everything they're supposed to do,"' said Greg Shumaker, one of 15 convicted sex offenders who live at the park and the other man that Souders had inquired about.

So she moves her children to a risky setting to care for her pedo father in his final days, and his "friend", now known to be on the lamb for 11 years from charges in FL, is there to care for him, actually living with him. So what was the reason for her being there? I am confused.

Furthermore, She has specific concerns about all the pedos an RSOs in the park, so she asks her father/pedo if HE thinks her kids will be safe around these guys? And then takes his (pedo) word for it??

mkay?

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (Isabelle Zehnder reporting) -- On Tuesday evening, HLN's Nancy Grace asked Allen County Sheriff Ken Fries if 9-year-old Aliahna Lemmons' two younger sisters, ages 6 and 8, had been medically examined after being alone for about a week with Aliahna's murderer; Fries said they had not.

Forgive me for asking this, but WTH NOT??????????:banghead:

Are you kidding me?

But then, maybe they feel like these babies have been through enough. Still, time is of the essence in attempting to gather DNA.

I just don't understand.

I hope the police can search the computers etc. of all the offenders in the park because it seems such a convenient set up. Lots of child molesters living together, apparently in good terms with their neighboring child molesters, unsupervised children... Who knows what Grandpa's pals have been up to here. They're awfully conveniently situated for exchanging child *advertiser censored* and victimizing children as a group.

re: the temporary paralysis-

My honest feeling on this is that it is an attempt to make mom 'really' look sick, so that people will stop blaming her for handing over her girls (but not her boys, oddly enough, hmmmm) to MP.

I could be way off and she really could have a verifiable medical condition that requires a wheelchair. I just don't think so.

Her entire 'illness' has been way too vague from the beginning. And to be fair, perhaps it is the reporting of her illness that is vague. Is there a way to check if she is on some kind of disability and receiving benefits?

But again, my gut tells me that it is a sympathy ploy. MOO.

from the flu-to being partially paralyzed is more than a jump-its a HUGE leap and hard to believe. I think if she was "temporarily paralyzed" gma would have been shouting that to the heavens, along with how innocent MP was.

jmo

Winner winner chicken dinner!

BBM.

This, and I think the whole fandamily is a part of it. That gma is sketchy and defensive (and yet seemed to blame A for her own disappearance) and I'm not buying that TS was worried about her kids' safety. I've a hunch that we will see the uncovering of a nasty, tangled web. Hopefully soon.

Has anyone seen or heard from the step father ? When mom was interviewed she had her mom and step dad with her and her step dad wheeled her to the vigil. So where is he...sleeping because he works nights.:banghead:

Amen, amen, my thoughts exactly!

JMO but requiring a wheelchair is normally not a reason to send your kids away. I could see needing help with infants and toddlers but 6 to 9 years olds are old enough that they don't have to be carried and can actually be helpful around the house if the parent is handicapped.

Someone asked why posts were removed. I'm not an assigned mod here, but I looked them over and it seems there has been a lot of bashing of the family here. They are not suspects in this case and while I can understand how everyone feels about a lack of protection, bashing them when they've just lost their child to such evil will not be tolerated.

We have a Resource Center where a thread about protecting kids from living around RSOs would be very welcome.

Let's remember who the perp is in this case and try to focus on what he did for awhile.

:tyou:

I don't know why you are all questioning the moms motives - she likes the following page on FB

"Click "like" if you love your daughter!"

i mean what more proof do you want? :x

Gotcha. Sorry. :blushing:

Back to MP:

How again was he introduced to the family? Was it the RSO neighbor? Or was it through the gma who called him in NC to come help out with dying gpa? But how did SHE know him in the first place?

I'm off to look for those links again. :waitasec:

The police work has been shoddy from day one as far as I am concerned. The day they searched then quit searching.

We have no idea what police, knew, saw, did, concluded in the couple of days it took them to solve this case ... so I think it's unfair to bash LE.

I think we'll find that they knew pretty quick what the outcome was and made sure they had all their legal ducks in a row for a successful future prosecution during those couple of days.

imo

Armageddon?

It just seems to get worse and worse, huh?

I was reading back a few pages and correct me if I'm wrong, but the perp was NOT a RSO? Living in a mobile home park full of RSOs? Is that right?

I wonder if he felt his secrets would be accepted there. My heart hurts.

Kimster - we have seen "reports" that AT ONE TIME he was an RSO. That was back IIRC in 2007 and in TN or NC? He is no longer on the registry - but there was discussion that sometimes RSO's are only required to register for a certain period of time and then removed from the registry.

We have been trying to get some type of confirmation on this. Also, IIRC the Sheriff on the case did say that, at one time, MP was on a RSO list.

So bottom line is - we don't know. YET.
