Not buying into this at all. Have you ever been involved in a "typical" Baptist church vs. a more contemporary non-denominational one like NewSpring? I have. And then take a look at FBC in Elkhart's website? The churches are VERY similar. IMO, the type of "Baptist ideology" that this pastor is "reformed from" is NOT the same as the ideology practiced at FBC from what I can gather from the websites anyway. They are very similar and I believe they believe the same way.

IMO, yours is quite a far-fetched theory for murder. But thanks for sharing.

They say there is no dumb question so here goes.

I always thought Davey and Amanda came from the same religious roots.

Now I think Amanda was Baptist with her father a Baptist Minister.

What was Davey's roots? Is his father also a Baptist Minister.

Did Davey and Amanda start their own church under Perry and quite a different from what they grew up with?

I am not familiar with any of these churches so thank you to anybody with an easy to understand explanation. TIA

I haven't the slightest idea about the religious upbringings of these two. But, from what I can tell (from the websites), Amanda's father's church is fairly contemporary/mainstream for a Baptist Church, similar to Resonate Church. Doesn't seem to me there would be that much difference in ideology in both churches, and I know a lot about different Christian denominations.

Captain Converse's nervous behavior during the presser is concerning. We're talking about a 35 year vet, 12 years in Homicide, who was shaking like a leaf. His behavior was certainly unexpected, IMO. Watch it for yourself here and let me know why you think he was so nervous. Also, can someone tell me what was being said when the audio was conveniently jumbled at the exact time Captain Converse was releasing the "time we put the suspect at the crime scene"? --- very bizarre, IMO.

The first part of what he said when there was audio interference was "at the time of the murder."

Did the dog go with Davey to the gym? Was the dog even there when Amanda was being murdered? Anyone know. And Byars is Amanda's maiden name.As for the hand she was shot in, it's the left hand. There is a photo of Amanda's sister holding her hand in the hospital and she is holding her right hand which was not in bandages.

<modsnip>There are enough victims left behind as a result of these senseless tragedies, we don't need to add more by sleuthing folks who aren't named poi's or suspects... I just think it's awful when victims get revictimized by the public in these high profile cases.... We don't do that here at WS's.

Cases, and investigations, are never going to play out to the satisfaction of everyone... The investigators are not in it to please the public, it's hard to call them incompetent when I have no idea what they know, or don't know... For a reason. I trust that they are being thorough and will successfully nail whoever did this...

All jmo.

Ok, thanks. Is it standard for married women to wear their wedding ring on left-hand finger?

great question about the dog, we really don't know even that. But seems the dog was a sweetheart if LE is to be believed.

I have seen people say she was shot in a hand, but I have not seen confirmation of that via LE. Not sure where the person who has mentioned that got the information. Based on wonky coverage by local media, it's hard to tell what is confirmed and what is just from a "source".

Does it seem odd to anyone that the gun found two blocks away hasn't yet been determined to be "stolen" or not ? and who it might be registered to ?

I would think you could determine that quickly. (I would hope)

I think it's like everything else in this case. Meaning, very little of what is known is actually being released.

I would bet it has been determined but not released to the public.

OT: But interesting
http://www.theindychannel.com/news/...o-los-angeles-flight-over-suspicious-behavior
INDIANAPOLIS -- A Southwest Airlines flight headed from Indianapolis to Los Angeles was diverted mid-flight when passengers began exhibiting "suspicious behavior."
Southwest Flight 5929 was diverted to Kansas City International Airport around 7:50 a.m. Sunday. RTV6 sister station KSHB reported the Kansis City office of the FBI as saying at least three individuals were being questioned by law enforcement.

Police are investigating after reports of an assault and gunshots being fired on the IUPUI campus.
Shortly before noon, IUPUI officials issued an alert in regards to the incident, stating that a dangerous situation was happening on the campus near the Rotary Building and Eskenazi Hospital.

I would bet it has been determined but not released to the public.

Moving a step further on one of my theories that the if the blackburns owned a gun and that gun was the murder weapon. - what if that gun found 2 blocks away was that gun ?

Seems plausible.

Could be. I am still betting the police would know that by now. I also would assume that if the Blackburn's owned any firearms, they would be purchased and registered as legally required.

I imagine in due time this conundrum will be known, I believe LE knows what they are looking at but staying quiet for now.

I think it's possible they don't say why, because if they say it wasn't stolen, they have to explain to whom it's registered to and therefor create a firestorm of questions that they aren't wanting to answer right now.

If it is stolen, knowing that and communicating that is rather routine. It's actually still pointing to their theory as a criminal would likely use a stolen gun. But, with my theory, they would have reason to NOT say that the gun was connected.

If that is the blackburn's gun, that means that a gun was not carried into the residence and murder was not likely the motive and it indeed was a burglary. --> perfectly fits the narrative the police have presented of a burglary gone bad.

other plausible theories on this of course as police have not divulged seemingly easy to determine information. But.... just saying :)
