Thanks Gunslinging! So it was found on a street, in an area that one is able to park then? Like parked right on the street? I wonder how it was parked. I wonder if it looked nicely parked or haphazardly. I know if I was going fast to try to help an animal, which I have many times because I'm crazy, my car would not be neatly parked except if there was a miracle.

How fast/high was the river that day? Anyone know?

Thanks, friend. Do we know the conditions of the river that evening and the weather?

None of the possible houses appear mere feet away except the one that appears in the corner of Newsom and Flatrock. And that is odd. If found there, could it mean she was trying to run back to her parents' home for some reason? Or did someone harm her who knew her and her family and wanted to make a statement? Or, was she trying to "go home" and was making a statement, either intentionally or subconsciously?

Now I read somewhere that her car was found "half an hour" from her body. But here, it appears super close to her parents' home. Like she barely left and something happened. It seems she could cut across that field into Flatrock and back on foot to her parents' home, in minutes. Did she have car trouble? Was someone tailing her or trying to run her off the road? Did she indeed see an animal in trouble? Why wouldn't she call her spouse as she ran? I would - "Honey! There's a stray running down the street by my parents' house. I just left but i need to try to grab this dog real quick first!!" I guess not everyone is like that.

Was she having a mental health issue that made her feel - "This is it. This is as far as I can go."?

I am very struck by the extreme proximity to her parents' street, and if it's at the end of the block, the proximity of her body to their home. Seems significant.

ETA: I note there is a path directly from her car to the river, right? Do dogs typically run into water to get away from someone? I tend to think they would not, and would instead keep running on dry land. Seems like a ton of options other than into the water. What do you guys think?

Quoting myself because I think I found what is possibly her parents' address and actually, all the homes that front the river are less than half a mile away, I think all under 600 feet, and under three minutes or so walking, form the sandbar. Don't know what that means.

Hmm--just noticed there appears to be a bar located just about where her car was found. High Bar 2441 Riverside Drive.

ETA: Or a little further north?

I looked at a google photo of this business and it sits far off the road with many trees in front of it. (It doesn't look like a dive bar.) Maybe it has a security camera.

I understand. I'm thinking about the messages from LE and feel out of respect for the family it is best not to speculate too much before the autopsy. I don't know the validity of any rumors on social media but tend to assume that information is more valid than wild random speculation, until proven otherwise. I realize this site is intended to sleuth but this one feels a bit... uncomfortable, given the limited amount we know and the rawness I'm imagining her family is dealing with.

Probably just a hint for me that it is time to step away until autopsy results are given tomorrow, hopefully. :)

Hoping for answers for her family and friends and that they find comfort in each other during such a tragic time.

Oh, I don't think there's anything wrong with speculation. Nothing much else to do at this point. It's just my little ol' opinion that there's not enough info to come to even a super strong suspicion.

And social media rumors have proven totally wrong in so many cases I can't begin to count. So while they can give us some possibilities, without more, I don't typically count on them to form a specific opinion.

Besides, I'm just not getting yet how she could have drowned in the river chasing anything. Why would a dog run into a river with so many other options on dry land? If the river is that shallow and smooth and calm, and if it was that way on the evening of her disappearance (something I'm dying to know about), how would she drown and how would her body end up on top of a sandbar?

So many questions! Tomorrow should tell us a lot.

The possibility of murder, serial killer, etc would bring out some kind of BOLO alert imo

Wonder if anyone has a sort of timeline of her day... I know she'd dropped off her pets and was going to meet her husband for a flight --- did she do any errands that day, like shopping for last minute items ? Was she with a friend in town ?
Any security footage of her going about her day --any clues as to someone who was stalking her , or if she did anything unusual that wouyld indicate depression ??
MOO

Feel exactly the same way about all of this, and like you am going passive on this one until we hear something more from official sources. I got the distinct feeling from what little we've (allegedly) heard from family/friends that the speculations of foul play have been hurtful. IMO. :( Hopefully we will know more tomorrow.

It looks like it was cold, partly cloudy and windy and had not had but a small amount of light rain more than two 58 hours (2.5 days) prior, and no rain from the time she went missing to when she was found. So nothing indicates the river was swollen or moving fast when she died. Good visibility (10 miles) and very low winds at the time she disappeared:

Even accidents are suspicious until proven an accident. You have to prove it's not murder when no one witnessed the death. This is normal.

Has the autopsy been done? If not why are they waiting? Should it not be a priority in a case like this to get er done?

Who will they BOLO for? Even if it is a murder, that doesn't mean they have a suspect.

They can't say be on the lookout for a murderer.

My feeling -- completely MOO -- is that they don't suspect foul play so there isn't a need to rush the autopsy-- but obviously they don't feel comfortable making a statement to that effect until they get official confirmation. My feeling-- again MOO-- is that they have a theory as to what happened which doesn't involve foul play but that it would be irresponsible to rule it out publicly before they get the ME's report. If there weren't any witnesses then they simply don't know 100% what happened. IMO. But may also explain why they haven't made any type of "BOLO" statements or anything else to suggest something "suspicious" since the initial report/discovery of the abandoned vehicle (which *was* suspicious, but could also be explained by something non-sinister once we have all the facts.) I have the feeling that in the current climate in Indiana they are walking a very difficult line between on the one hand keeping the public informed and preventing panic, and on the other following proper procedure. IMO, MOO.

I hope all of that was okay to say. Lots of MOOs in there.

Good questions. In a case of a young woman kidnapped out of a target shopping center, they reviewed hours of footage to see someone stalking her in the store and then running to intercept her in the parking lot so he could be there before she led the store. Creepy. Caught him attacking her on camera in the parking lot too. Just a flash.

I don't know how she died, but pretty sure it was no homicide.

It would have to be more than possibility. Otherwise BOLO for what?

Here's some more photos from my visit to the Flatrock River site in Columbus this afternoon.

Okay, as I am halfway around the world from ya'll I am going to have to leave it here.

I have just been googling around Riverside Drive and Flatrock Drive. There are street views available all around there. I encourage everyone to do that as it is informative. Riverside Drive is not a thoroughfare. It is a lovely residential drive that looks over the river and park. I would think someone getting back to the city would have stayed on Washington. Why was Jackie's car on this road? How did it get there?

Before I go I need to correct some thing about this map. The red star that I have marked body is actually closer to where they found Jackie. I said before that I thought she was found on the sandbar in the middle but I watched a news report (sorry I seemed to have lost the link) and they had a still shot showing yellow tape across that large area just below the red star. To me that is the river bank. A sand bank, to me, usually sticks up but is surrounded by water (like the one in the middle) and that is why I thought that that was really where they found her.

So please take note of that correction - sorry about that.

The water around this site was maybe 2 inches deep. We didn't even take our shoes off to get there.
