Ok, thanks, I wanted to be sure.

I'm doubling down that she didn't drown.

"So where the trees are deep down, it’s all river when it’s high in I’ll be right there,” said Sutton.

Neighbors also told 24-Hour News 8 that the park and trails near the shore are near an area you wouldn’t want to be in late at night.

“The park is very secluded. It’s very dark. There are no houses close by,” said Cornn.

“It does take a toll, the number of officers that were out all night working,” said Columbus police Lt. Matt Harris.

“Our goal is supporting the family and making sure that we’re doing everything right, and with an investigation of this of course you have to get it right the first time, and we have a number of seasoned investigators that are working on the case right now. Like I said, we have to go out and do our job; that’s what we get paid to do,” Harris continued."

Right, he was saying when it is high, it is to the top. Its not high right now. Its low low low. Shallow. Sand bars. Water like glass. Water barely moving, etc.

Maybe she was dehydrated, running around all day getting ready for the trip. Hit a dog chased it on foot, down flatrock, across newsom, electrolyte imbalance, reached sand bar, had heart attack, died right there.

Not buying that either... sigh. I feel bad for her family. A nightmare for them for sure...

The location of the body and the large sandbar makes me wonder if she was placed on it without the person having to wade into the river ?
Almost looks like it (sandbar) edges right up to the bank..... and not in the middle of the river.
Were there any footprints on the sandbar that weren't hers ??

Why did the neighbor state "the park and trails near the shore are near an area you wouldn’t want to be in late at night"?
What kind of crime has occurred at Noblitt Park? Do freight riders hop on and off the railroad tracks there?

Maybe she pulled over to double check and make sure she left all of the animal stuff with the right people (or to move stuff around. I do that all the time). She got out the car, put hazards on, went around to the hatch/trunk, looked in, went around to the passenger side, opened door and was overtaken by some dude in the woods... maybe he chased he to the sandbar...

That makes more sense to me: she was chased instead of she was chasing... (unfortunately..)

He kinda threw that out there like as if he had to guess what happened..... vagrants at the park....

I think after viewing Jacobs pics, we can dismiss the "she fell off a cliff/steep ledge. I think we can also dismiss this "sinking" to the bottom. There is no room to sink to the bottom. The water is a foot deep? This is a creek/not a river in my mind.

If this wasn't an accident or suicide, my only theory is that she stopped for gas/food/etc. and someone pushed themselves into her car...takes off...she bails out the passenger door and runs. He chases. It ends tragically at the creek.

I think maybe the dog chasing is just a rumor as stated. She was an animal rescuer/activist and during the initial stages, somebody probably said something like "I wonder if she went chasing after a dog" and that's all it took for that to become a fast moving rumor. She didn't chase a dog into the river for Gods sake. JMO

Did they say at the press conference that the dog(s) couldn't track her at all? It sounds like they searched all night in the area.http://wishtv.com/2017/03/04/neighbors-speak-out-after-missing-columbus-woman-found-dead/
If she was at or near the bottom of the river, it seems likely that they wouldn't find her overnight. By the time she was reported missing, it was 5 p.m., near dark - correct? Is it possible, then, that her body washed up on the sandbar in view of searchers in the sky or on foot at or near 8:30 when was found? Thus explaining why she had not been found sooner. It seems unlikely that if they searched all night, someone would have placed her body there during that time. JMO.

There are a lot of incredibly specific theories here but we actually know very little, right? That she disappeared right after dropping off her dogs and rabbit at two locations, that the car was running with flashers on and was found before she was reported missing with the passenger door open and purse and cell phone inside. She was searched for on Friday and not found and on Saturday a search team found her on a sandbar, down stream, in a nearby river - near the family home.

Anything else?

Was she ON the sandbar-- as in not with part of her submerged/dragging in the water current ?
Hmmm....
Wonder if she was soaking wet or dry ?
Or just her legs and feet dry ?
If here head was in water at some point--- wouldn't her hair still be, wet and plastered to her forehead ?

We don't know for sure if the car was found with the flashers on, initially. Someone has suggested the person who called it in might have put them on for safety reasons. Unknown.

Do we know she disappeared *right* after dropping off her rabbit? Has it been reported what time she left her parents' house?

We know she was expected back at home by her husband, as they were supposed to take a flight to D.C. That evening.

We know that the abandoned car was called in as a "suspicious vehicle" slightly before (or about the same time) that family called police to report that she had not arrived home when expected.

The river is a foot or two deep

Well... if someone ran after her-- there SHOULD'VE been a scent trail to follow !!
IMO

Temperature and wind are factors in whether or not a dog can track someone. Environmental conditions need to be hospitable to scent.

I don't see where her parents are located? Is it just a "few feet" from where her body was discovered?

Hi, though the parents address is known and is public information, I did not want to put it on the map, it felt wrong, this early, especially as we don't really know if this was just an accident.

WSer Theforeigner found the address and gave a partial number in the 300 block on that street, also stating that they lived "next to the river." I just hightlighted the area but I think you can deduce what part of the street they might live on.

HTH Also please note that the star placements are approximate - I believe Jackie's body was found on the sandbar in the middle. I just didn't want to cover that sand bar up so people could see it.

Still getting caught up on the thread. Do you think you could mark on a map to show us exactly where this was taken?

Do you know if there are any steep drop offs in the area near where her car was found?

This shows the temperature and wind. Is there anyone on this thread who can tell us if this could have affected the K9's abilities?

No, they would not be able to do a successful track with 9mph wind. Nor 28-32 temps. Source: I studied up on this with one of my dogs who was a pointer.

So, that explains why the dogs couldn't find her on Friday most likely.

Ideally, you want 72 degrees on a sunny day with no wind.

Wow--so both her car and her body were found super close to her parents' home.
