I went fishing as a little girl with my grandmothers companion (they did not marry) who I considered my godfather. They are truly enormous and there are many sites with large drop offs. We are talking over 30 years ago that I was last there, but I remember them vividly because they were kind of scary!
Just looking at pictures of stripper pits made me shudder. Some are very narrow between those high, looming drop offs.

I hate to say this, but this case feels very much like Terrilynn Monette's to me right now. There were questionable circumstances there, too. We'll probably never know all the details, but in the end it likely was simply a terrible accident that landed her car in the bayou. JMO

I feel bad for the bartender. New on her job and al this drama. Think it would be creepy too not knowing what happened to KK.

Early on LE stated the cleaning person was at the VFW for 2 hours after closing. I thought then, odd...if she left her phone, she would have been able to go back b/c the cleaning person was there. LE was careful to not say if cleaner was male or female. Is male confirmed now?

I hadn't heard that the cleaning guy was there 2 hours after closing. This is one of my biggest questions. If the cleaning guy was there, couldn't he have opened the door for her if she came by to get the phone? I did hear it was a male. It was in one of the first interviews from the father (I think?) about who was at the bar that night. I believe they said "older gentleman" but don't quote me on that.

ETA: I was mistaken, it was the mother who said it was an older gentleman. It was said during a NG interview.

Stripper pits here have to be reclaimed so the land is usable. After moving the coal & dirt the hole left will fill with water & be a lake, usually a very deep lake.

Older man per mom on NG.

I will look for statement about cleaning person being there for 2 hours. I read that the first weekend she was gone.

Thank you for describing what a stripper pit is! All this time I thought it was a strip joint that was the pits! :blushing: I am so embarrassed...:shame:

So funny you say that. I have never heard of a stripper pit and you guys can not imagine what went through my mind when you all first started talking about it.

I envisioned something like this pit with a bunch of strippers in it dancing and doing their thing while guys stood overhead and watched, hooped, hollered and threw money at them. LMAO I know, I have a weird imagination.

Ever notice how many missing persons are either separated from their cell phones or have their cell phones turned off, right around the time they disappear?? It's like this weird phenomenon. Jennifer Huston turned hers off, Erin Corwin's was turned off, Hillary Sharma had hers in pieces (battery removed from phone), Heather Elvis had hers turned off about the time she disappeared. It's crazy.

He would probably have let her in for her phone, if she made it back there. I don't think she did. Somehow she got sidetracked, ran into someone she knew or went off the road. Or maybe left it on purpose. We just don't know much of anything.

LOL!! Glad I wasn't the only one!!

Still, iirc the cleaning person placed the phone on a shelf in the restroom (didn't turn it in) and nobody cared about whose phone it was until they heard Kristy was missing late the following day. That seems so lame. Not one other woman used the restroom anytime the next day? Something seems illogical about the phone story imo.

If her cell phone was placed on a shelf in the restroom, then where did the cleaning person find her cell phone at in the restroom prior to placing it on the shelf?

Could her cell phone have slipped out of her pants waistband or pocket, or slipped out of her purse?

"We have video of what we think is her vehicle going past the Tastee-Freez out here at about (1:50 a.m.)"

Was the vehicle driven in a normal manner or in a erratic manner when it went past the Tastee-Freez on the video?

Also, what other vehicles went in and or out of the VFW parking lot during the surrounding time frame of Kristy's disappearance.
How many people spent the evening at the VFW and what time did they all leave? Was the couple last to leave besides Kristy and the employees? Why is there confusion over the employees who were present? Were there two or three present in the building when Kristy left (or whatever happened)?
What time did the cleaning person arrive and is this their normal day/s and time.

We know LE usually investigates using a method. Were all the people at the VFW locals Thursday night or did any strangers stop in for drinks? Can anybody walk in to a VFW? I mean, just walk in? (I think so but it's been a long time since I've been inside a VFW. Aren't they known for Friday night fish fries?)

Well as ive said before, vfw has bingo on thursday nights. Members and non members go to that. Even if you are a non member you can still go into the bar to gets drinks without signing in. I think nonmembers are supposed to sign in but i dont think they are strict about the policy at this pariclar vfw.
