It's been awhile but I have read many of the roommate's posts and he sounds convincing to me. I'm asking if there have been other sources or reports such as in MSM.

She wasn't wearing pumps. She was wearing ballet flats. BRB.

This is a Tory Burch ballet flat similar to the shoes Lauren is wearing in the photo. They retail for about $200. Hers were a little lighter and not patent leather, but this gives you an idea. Ballet flats are tres chic at the moment, especially in LS's age bracket.

Now off to find the description that mentions she's wearing flats.

Last week, one of Wolff's roommates told Fox59 News he had not been interviewed by police but last saw wolff at 2:30 a.m., just a couple of hours before Spierer was reportedly last seen.

Note the date of that published comment is 6/22 meaning they got that comment from him sometime the week before. Presuming it's the same roommate, his claim of speaking to the FBI appears to be on 6/17.

Im not sure if there is much of a BS meter to look at. It really comes down to whether you believe that the person on the PT thread is indeed JW's roommate. Through his posts he seems consistent, but people have faked having their law degrees and have gotten away with it, in the past.

Well, it also comes down to whether or not you believe what he is saying is true. I would believe that it is a roommate of JW. But, that doesn't tell me whether or not his account of the night is accurate.

Just like the other informal accounts from friends, my impression is that it overcompensates, making me wonder how much of it is really valid. How would he know, for example, that JW didn't receive any phone calls that night? Because JW told him?

My point last night was simply that IMO, this shouldn't be taken as fact or used to dismiss any possibility of JW's knowledge of or involvement with Lauren that night -- The most this account could possibly tell us is that JW may have a roommate who didn't hear anything in the hours that he was sleeping, and so assumes that JW was sleeping too.

I see several reasons for concern. One, she had been arrested for public intoxication before. That does not happen unless you are really messed up and unable to control your self. Especially in a college town. So he had good reason to be concerned about her being out drinking without him. He would know that she sometimes drinks too much and is potentially 'out of control.'

Two, she had plans to come and be with him. So he knows she is out drinking and then she stops answering her cell and is ignoring the plans they made.

As her boyfriend, that should make him feel worried about her safety, if at 3 am she does not answer his calls, after making plans to meet up. Who isn't worried about a pretty young drunk co-ed out in the middle of the night ?

And underneath the concern there would likely be some jealousy. His gf is very pretty. So he has thoughts of his petite, blonde gf, smashed, wandering around Kilroy's, hanging out with whomever. Why wouldn't he be jealous?
They dated for 2 years, is that right? Sounds kind of serious.

I would disagree respectfully of course.To me this strikes me as a college town were the police Dept. spends its days and makes a lot of money handing out public intoxication tickets at 500 dollars a pop.Just about every person we have heard about in this case has one.Apparently LS and JW got them while they were together tailgating at a football game.Another got his because he was walking in the street instead of on the sidewalk.One local poster suggested the reason LS and CR took the alley was to avoid the police.So they would not be stopped and arrested simple for walking down the street intoxicated.It makes me wonder if one of the reasons the police are getting so little cooperation from LS fellow students is they have such an awful relationship with them.

Thanks. This is meaningful to me. I have had a problem however with the 2:30 bedtime coinciding with the 2:30 time she exited Sports. And the fact that a friend of JW's appears at the SW altercation. Coincidences or were there spotters out there? I say the latter.

I am so stylish. I have a pair of these...but they are from Target. Very comfortable.

We were talking about the pain of walking around barefoot outside, remember? Well, if these shoes have soles like mine, they would not have felt much better than just walking barefoot. They would not give much protection from glass or other debris, either. Just FWIW, because I remember some posts in which people suggested that maybe she took off the shoes because they were doing something or around something messy and they wanted to "save the shoes," and my reaction was, "forget the shoes, save my poor feet!" But with these shoes, keeping them on wouldn't really save one's feet anyhow.

Someone a few days ago posted that we need a better word than friend to describe some people, especially in the day and age of 1000+ facebook "friends".

When looking at the timeline last night, something that struck me is the time they were at Smallwood, namely entering at 2:30 and exiting at 2:42. 12 minutes is a looong time. LE told us they didn't go to her apt, we now have a video witness saying that the entire exit sequence from elevator to exit was about a minute. To me, this leaves a ton of time for meeting up with and talking to other individuals in the lobby or possibly hanging out for some time with the group on the fifth floor. Not sure why I don't think they went to another apartment, I guess because LE filled us in on the apartment hopping at 5 North, why leave that out when describing the Smallwood trip.

RE: the public intoxication. I am not saying that this is what happened in LS's case, but I know that in UP (home of Penn State's main campus), public intoxication is not hard to get on your record. Sometimes cops just get fed up with it and ticket or arrest people that aren't really doing a whole lot other than making fools of themselves on the street, even though any other weekend that person might've just been escorted home with a warning or reminder. I'm not saying that this is cops overstepping their bounds, just that a lot of times they give kids some leeway.

A rumor out there:
"Rossman admitted he and Lauren went up to an apt and did “all kinds of drugs” in the short time they were at Smallwood."

this was ONLY a comment to news article I think, so I haven't put much if any stock in it, but it is a possible scenario to what happened at that time. I also think it is possible that the visit to Smallwood was a visit to DR's, not to go back to LS's apt.

Well if that is a rumor out there, then it sure looks like people are just making **** up. LS and RC never even got to her apartment. Also we know that CR is claiming memory loss, so pretty obviously he wouldn't be admitting to anything like that. Since he claims he can't remember anything he was doing.

I don't see how in the world they would have time to go anywhere and do whatever it is in the rumor. LS and RC were in the building for a very short amount of time. Add to that RC was punched and there is no time left for them to do anything at all.

I'm not arguing with you, I don't think the rumor is true, but I do think that 12-15 minutes in a building where they did not get past the elevator lobby on the 5th floor is a little long for a simple little confrontation and I think there may be a little more than we know involved

I don't remember them saying that (not disputing it though, just can't remember it). Smallwood does have cameras in all the hallways though, I think they could tell that she did not enter her apt even if she left the elevator area.

Everything they said in that particular rumor is contained in my post. It was just a comment posted (and I am going to look to see if I can find it again at some point.)
All the rumor is trying to say is that 1)CR must have some memory of the 15 minutes prior to being hit (he claimed through his attorney that he did not)
and 2) that he and LS got even more wasted while they were there But I thik the point in posting it was more likely the #1 point.

Poster a few pages back commented that it was interesting that around the same time that BPD was getting negative press for the lack of landfill searching that suddenly there was a "leak" of someone talking about how messed up LS was that night. Now we have almost completely quit talking about landfill searches and a lot of bits have been spent talking about how messed up she was and could she have possibly walked anywhere or wanted to do more drugs. I find this so fascinating. What a good deflection, if done on purpose. Why now would this person who had reviewed a video tape suddenly yap it up when for weeks there was nothing in MSM like this report? And why don't they search the landfill?
