Different subject, but I do agree with you that motive for Nicole's murder could be more than having talked to authorities about what she may have known about another crime. I think jealousy and rejection could have provoked the perfect storm here.

I also think that many of these druggies knew of the other crime, and may have assisted by picking him up in their car.
 
I looked at some of the previous meth arrests that could be some sort of link to Abbey and Libby but haven't found anything thus far. I'm thinking small town meth addicts have to know each other somehow.

Trial cancelled on April 22nd. Wonder if it's significant?
 
Perhaps those that have been arrested in Nicole's murder, were all participatory in another crime? Disturbing, but could explain a lot. I've always thought it odd that one girl didn't run.

Maybe that would also explain the family being particularly upset and leaving the press conference.

He may have been appealing to one (or all) of the other accomplices. The charge he was seemingly let off for in January this year (see my previous post) set him free then this happened. I cannot work out what happened to that case where the trial was cancelled.

ETA ah looking at the dates it makes sense. They bailed him. NB was found murdered 30 Mar so this was then cancelled and the new charges were filed. Is that what happened?

Yes, he lost weight for sure. If you go through some of the posts on his Facebook, he posts about losing weight. From what I gathered he was clean for a bit in 2016 which may have lead to the weight gain and then once he was back on meth/spice/heroin, he lost weight.
