Monday, November 21st:
*Initial Hearing (@ 1:30pm CT) – IN - Cairo Ammar Jordan (5) was found about 7:30pm Saturday night, April 16, 2022 by a mushroom hunter in the heavily wooded area of Washington County off a dead-end road, 80 ft. from a roadway inside a suitcase with a distinctive Las Vegas design on the front & back near the town of New Pekin. May have died within the last week. He was identified on October 26, 2022. He would have turned 6 on 10/23/22 – only for *Dawn Elaine Coleman (40) arrested (in S.F. on 10/19/22) & charged (10/26/22) with 1st degree neglect of a dependent resulting in death & obstruction of justice. Was extradited from CA to IN (10/26/22).
*Dejaune Ludie Anderson (37) "mom" has warrant (10/14/22) out for her arrest (10/19/22) & charged (10/26/22) for 1st degree neglect of a dependent resulting in death & obstruction of justice. A subsequent murder warrant was issued on 10/25/22. Has not been located.
Anderson was convinced a demon lived inside him. Indiana State Police said an autopsy was conducted Tuesday (4/19/22), but no information as to the cause of death was determined. Investigators are still waiting on the results of the toxicology report. Toxicology test came back negative. Police revealing that the child was clean, clothed, showed no signs of abuse & died of dehydration. In May, an autopsy found the boy died due to “electrolyte imbalance” most likely from a “viral gastroenteritis.” There was a lack of significant traumatic injuries & no “anatomical cause of death,” according to the autopsy report. Investigators don't believe the child was alive when placed in the suitcase."
Investigators: On June 29, an ISP forensic scientist was able to obtain a fingerprint match from two of the trash bags in the suitcase. Those prints belonged to Anderson. Nearly four weeks later, a second fingerprint match was made. That print was identified as Coleman’s. From there they found a Facebook ("mother") & found pictures that matched both the young boy & the suitcase he was found in. Suspects' phone pings showed both suspects in Pekin, Indiana – not far from where Cairo's body was found. Surveillance video from a property owner shows suspect's car stop on the road where the suitcase was found.
